DC Comics: The Bookstore Witch

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Sunshine, Cyclops, Forehead and Duckbutt

[1st POV]

As I had expected, Ivy had been...very excited after I had shown her the dimensions she now had full and complete access to. Dimensions that were completely untouched by the corruption of humanity. The sort of dimensions that a lot of magic users and those connected to the Green, would likely kill for.

A simple place for me, underwhelming, and made with a singular motion of my hand. That wasn't even including the other dimensions that I had created that were closely connected to some of the other forces. Like a dimension full of animals of all kinds that would be closely connected to the Red, the force that personifies animal life and similar things.

Ivy had adapted quite quickly to her new job, almost to a surprising level. With the shop increasing in size with a bit of special manipulation, and some minor wards that made people not question the change (at least normal people), I now had double the room, and all sorts of rare and nearly extinct plants that decorated the shop.

I also now had another worker for when Raven wasn't in, and someone who could work as the cook for some of the vegan items while Raven worked the counter. Ivy being purely carnivore wasn't much of an issue, with a lot of my newer breakfast items using meats and such.

With my new employee now working in the shop, I was able to have some more free time to myself, which was usually spent reading and practicing my magic. I had learned everything I have gained so far from those from beyond this multiverse, and now it was time to get some new customers, which is exactly what I am looking at at the moment.

A blonde menace. A broody dark haired teen, a pink haired girl, and a man who looked alert and confused at the same time, white hair pointed in a way that likely isn't possible, and one of his two eyes covered.

"Whoa! Kakash-Sensei, where are we?!" The blonde teen asked, the teen known as Naruto Uzumaki. The protagonist of the show that started my love for anime, and one of my favorite anime characters of all time.

"I...I don't know, Naruto" The white haired man replied, this being Kakashi Hatake. One of the most badass anime characters there is, alongside people like Gojo, Vegeta, and a handful of others.

The sharingan in his right eye socket could be an interesting thing to copy. With the sharingan being quite powerful, at least in their worlds standards. It was nothing to me, but I could definitely see the usage in it. That and...

It looked cool. My inner fangirl begged for it, and...I was definitely going to get one of them if I can, alongside Mokuton and all sorts of other cool chakra based powers, even if I could mimic them with ease. Although adding in something like the Rinnegan or Tenseigan would be neat too.

"S-Should we be worried Sensei?" The pink haired girl with a comically large forehead asked, this girl being Sakura Haruno, one of the most annoying anime characters there is. At least, in her pre-timeskip phase. She was better in Shippuden, but her tendency of punching Naruto for no reason was annoying.

"You know I am standing right here, right?" I asked, amused with this entire situation. This had been the norm with visitors, them fearing me and the situation, and me laughing at them. I doubt it would ever not be funny to see their reactions to me, and my appearance.

"You! Who are you?!" Sakura screeched, jumping in fright. Not a single one of them had noticed me, not even Kakashi. A bit of reality warping was more than enough to hide me presence from anything or anyone, besides the very strongest.

"Why I'm the owner of this lovely bookstore of course! My name is Wanda Maximoff, book lover, shop owner, and lover of coffee!" I exclaimed, as the three of them looked at me with a deadpan...

Rude.

"A...bookstore?" The broody one with a duck ass for hair, aka Sasuke Uchiha, asked. I could see the influence of the power of Indra on him, just as I could on Naruto. It was quite the interesting little thing, their form of reincarnation.

I'd take it for myself, but eh, that'd make things boring. And I don't really need that power anyways. I was more interested in the rinnegan because it'd look cool, not because it could actually make me stronger.

"Mmhmm. I sell all sorts of books here, as well as some food. Anything you can think of! Books on histories of other worlds, magics beyond your wildest dreams, and even cookbooks on everything you can even imagine!" I explain to them, inwardly giggling at the reaction of Naruto.

"Do you have ramen?!" Naruto asked. The kid was adorable, impossibly so. I could see why his talk-no-jutsu worked so often, his natural charm and the protagonist aura around him was quite immense.

"Mhmm, I make all sorts of foods, child. What's your name?"

"Naruto Uzumaki, Battebayo!" Naruto said with a grin.

"And what of you three?"

"Kakashi Hatake, their Jonin-sensei"

"Sakura Haruno!"

"...Sasuke"

"Hmm, interesting interesting! The last members of not just one or two clans, but three!" I said with a smile, as they froze.

"Huh?" Naruto said rather...dumbly.

"What? Did you not know? Your sensei there is the last of the Hatake Clan, Sasuke is the last of the Uchiha, and you, Naruto, are the last of the Uzumaki clan from Uzushiogakure, the village hidden by whirling tides" I replied, was this was true.

He was in fact, the last in line to the previous Uzukage of the clan before its destruction, with his mother being the princess of the Uzumaki people.

"I-I had a family?" Naruto asked in shock, as the others looked just as surprised, except Kakashi, as I expected.

"Mmhmm. I don't have any books on your people here, sadly. As I have primarily books that are less...common, rarer. Although I'm sure you can find some back in Konoha. Especially if you were to ask for your inheritance, as I am sure the Uzumaki people had quite a lot stashed in Konoha" I replied, as yet again, this was true.

I felt bad for the kid. That, and he had a wealth of knowledge once he took over both the Uzumaki clan, and his dads inheritance.

"Once you take your rightful property, I'm certain there would be books there on your people, and even your parents. Perhaps if you do take it over, you bring some to me? I've always wanted to learn more of the Uzumaki's" I added, as this is once again true.

Sealing was overpowered in Naruto, and even in my eyes, it could be useful. Although I could already do better, I'm sure that some of the sealing techniques of that world would be incredible in my hands. Especially once I gain access to chakra.

Kakashi was looking at me with narrowed eyes, not trusting me in the slightest. Which was understandable, as not many in the village knew of this, with my shop being outside the village in the form of a small shack.

"Naruto-Baka is a part of a clan?" Sakura muttered in surprise, with Sasuke having a similar reaction. And it looks like I might have just changed the future, if the way he was looking at Naruto in an entirely new light was any indicator.

"Wha-what happened to them all?" Naruto asked, as I turned to him.

"Your clan...was powerful, Naruto-kun. It was the best clan in the world when it comes to sealing. But your clan was also known for their immense vitality, and incredibly high chakra reserves. It led to...fear during the war. And due to this, an enormous army made up of three of the main five villages attacked it. Iwa, Kumo, and Suna had lost more than 80% of their armies by the end of the fight, and they hadn't achieved any of the targets that they wanted, primarily your clan's techniques. For only an Uzumaki can access them in the ruins of the lands" I said, feeling bad for the poor thing.

No child deserved to go through what he had, and no child deserved to lose their entire family as he had.

Honestly I was half tempted to steal him away and take him as my own child, but that would be creepy, so I'll opt to let him come by whenever he wants instead.

Naruto went silent at the information, as I decided to brighten the mood up, Raven walking out from the back, four bowls of ramen in her hands as Naruto's eyes brightened.

Seeing his reaction, I giggled before speaking, a smile on my face.

"Now...how about you try my ramen?"

That's the end of the chapter!

Starting in a couple of chapters, she will begin to get really involved into DC, so that it won't be so repetitive with the bookstore stuff. I'll also be introducing more and more unique and out of the ordinary customers, as well as quite a few mini adventures to other worlds, and even intermissions for her clones time in ASOIAF. Sorry if it was repetitive so far, as I had seen the complaints and criticism, and I'm going to work on improving on that aspect. But I will say that this is a slice of life fic more than anything, so it won't be super action heavy. I will also be working on the slice of life aspect, because so far I can tell it's not the best.

So more dates, just traveling around, messing with people, and fun stuff. More and more chaos will be caused by Wanda, as she begins to get more and more confident in herself, and begins to care less and less if others know of her and her powers.

Anyways, have a good day!
