DC: Becoming Supreme With Technology ( I Beat Superman)

Chapter 51: Trip To Earth 101, Enhancing Flash's Speed.

The night was heavy with tension as Ethan Harper stood on his apartment balcony, watching the lights of the city below. Inside, parallel Barry Allen, still shaken from his escape, sat on the couch, bandaged and resting. Ethan had treated Barry's wounds after bringing him back to his apartment, the speedster's body showing signs of exhaustion and trauma from his clash with Zoom.

Helios, Ethan's AI, spoke through the room's speakers. "Ethan, I've initiated a detailed analysis of the energy fluctuations emitted by this version of Barry Allen. It's unlike anything we've recorded before—a distinct variation of the Speed Force."

Ethan nodded, turning back to Barry. "Alright, Barry. You said this 'Zoom' is destroying your Earth. Start from the beginning. We need to know everything if we're going to stop him."

Barry sighed, his voice tinged with despair. "Zoom... he's a monster. He's not like other speedsters. He doesn't just use the Speed Force; he devours it. He hunts down people like me, those who are connected to it, and absorbs their speed to grow stronger."

The door to the apartment slid open, and Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League filed in, their expressions a mix of concern and determination. Batman spoke first.

"Ethan briefed us on the situation," Batman said, his tone sharp and focused. "You're saying this speedster—Zoom—travels across universes, consuming the Speed Force and leaving destruction in his wake?"

Barry nodded solemnly. "Yes. My Earth is almost gone. I was the last speedster left, and he was hunting me. That's how I ended up here. I ran into the multiverse, hoping to find help."

Wonder Woman placed a comforting hand on Barry's shoulder. "You've come to the right place. We won't let this happen to another world."

Just as the League was beginning to strategize, a sharp alert blared through the room. Helios' voice cut in urgently.

"Alert: The Bat Satellite has detected an incursion at a military facility. Multiple hostiles in advanced exoskeletons, led by Metallo."

Batman's eyes narrowed. "Metallo. He's been dormant since the Khurds invasion. This can't be a coincidence."

Superman stood. "We need to move. If Metallo is targeting military installations, it could be catastrophic."

Ethan held up a hand. "You guys handle Metallo and his crew. I'll go with Barry to his Earth. If this Zoom is as dangerous as he says, we can't afford to let him gain more power. Helios, track the Speed Force fluctuations from Barry. We'll use them to navigate the multiverse."

Barry looked at Ethan with gratitude. "Thank you. I don't know if we can stop him, but I can't do this alone."

Ethan activated his suit, the silvery-white material glowing faintly under the apartment lights. "You're not alone anymore. Let's go."

Barry took a deep breath and focused, summoning his connection to the Speed Force. Lightning began crackling around him as a shimmering breach opened in the air. Ethan stepped up beside him.

"Helios, record and analyze everything about this breach," Ethan instructed. "We'll need it for our return trip."

"Understood, Ethan," Helios replied.

With one final look at the League, Ethan and Barry stepped into the breach, vanishing into the swirling storm of the multiverse.

On Earth-101

The breach opened in the ruins of Earth-101, and Ethan and Barry stepped out into a desolate landscape. The air was thick with ash, and the remains of cities stretched as far as the eye could see.

"This... this was my home," Barry said, his voice breaking as he looked around.

Ethan surveyed the area, his expression grim. "Zoom did all this?"

Barry nodded. "He thrives on destruction. He doesn't just steal speed; he tears apart everything in his path. We have to stop him before he destroys it further ."

Ethan's eyes glowed faintly as he activated his moon energy sensors.

"Then let's find him and end this once and for all."

In the dimly lit lab of S.T.A.R. Labs on Earth-101, Barry Allen introduced Ethan Harper to Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow. Ethan scanned the facility with interest, impressed by the level of technology they had, despite the lack of other superheroes on this Earth.

"Nice place you've got here," Ethan remarked as he shook hands with Cisco and Caitlin. "I can see why this is your base of operations."

Cisco grinned. "Well, we try. So, you're from another Earth, huh? Multiverse traveler and all? That's kind of mind-blowing."

Barry chimed in, "We need his help, Cisco. Zoom's been decimating worlds, and Ethan has already stood up to him once in my world."

Ethan nodded. "But to defeat him, we need more than just brute force. Let's talk strategy."

As they gathered around a console, Ethan started browsing the internet to gather information about this Earth. He noticed something immediately: there was no Superman, no Justice League. "Interesting," he muttered.

"What is it?" Caitlin asked.

Ethan pointed to the screen. "Your world relies solely on metahumans. No superpowered aliens, no Amazonian warriors, no billionaire vigilantes. Just people born or made with extraordinary abilities."

"Yeah, that's us," Cisco said, shrugging. "We make do."

Ethan nodded thoughtfully. "That means the scale of resistance here is smaller. Zoom can overpower you because he's facing isolated metahumans, not a united front like the Justice League. But don't worry—we'll even the odds."

Barry leaned forward. "How do we stop him? He's faster than me."

"Not necessarily," Ethan said. "It's about countering speed with its opposite: cold. If we slow him down enough, we can take him out."

"Cold?" Cisco raised an eyebrow. "You mean like a cold gun? Funny thing is, in this world, I never got around to building one, so there's no Captain Cold running around."

"Then we build one now," Ethan said confidently.

Caitlin folded her arms, looking skeptical. "A cold gun might slow him down, but Zoom's abilities go far beyond speed. It might not be enough."

Ethan gestured to Helios, his AI, which began displaying footage from S.T.A.R. Labs' satellites. "That's why we analyze his movements. Helios, pull up videos of Zoom and Barry in action."

The screen filled with slowed-down footage of Zoom and Barry running side by side during their previous encounters. Helios ran a detailed simulation, highlighting the patterns of their movements.

"Look closely," Ethan pointed out. "Their leg speed is the same. But Zoom is being propelled faster by an external force. Barry, you're not slower—you're just not tapping into the Speed Force as efficiently as he is."

Barry frowned. "So, how do I fix that?"

Ethan leaned back. "By deepening your connection to the Speed Force. But that takes time—time we don't have."

Cisco snapped his fingers, an idea hitting him. "Wait a second. Remember when we defeated Eobard Thawne? We recovered a prototype tachyonic enhancer from him, but it was broken. We couldn't fix it."

Barry's eyes widened. "That's right! If we could repair it, it might give me the boost I need."

Ethan turned to Cisco. "Where is it?"

"In storage," Cisco said. "But it's pretty fried. I'm not even sure where to start."

"Bring it out," Ethan said with a grin. "Helios and I will help you rebuild it."

Cisco dashed off and returned moments later with the damaged tachyonic enhancer. The device was blackened and sparking faintly, its components in disarray.

Ethan knelt beside it, inspecting the circuitry. "Helios, scan this device and cross-reference it with known tachyonic technologies. Cisco, I'll need your help understanding how you recovered this."

Cisco smirked, rolling up his sleeves. "You're speaking my language now, Harper."

For the next few hours, Ethan and Cisco worked side by side, soldering wires, replacing circuits, and reconfiguring the device. Helios projected schematics and possible solutions, speeding up the process.

Caitlin watched from the side, occasionally providing input. "The energy stabilizer is misaligned. If it overheats, it'll fry Barry's suit."

"Good catch," Ethan said, adjusting the alignment. "Thanks, Caitlin."

Barry paced nervously nearby. "Are we sure this is going to work?"

Ethan looked up at him. "If we can fix this, you'll have the edge you need. But remember, the tachyon enhancer is just a tool. The real speed comes from within you. Trust the Speed Force."

Finally, Cisco tightened the last screw and stepped back. "That's it. One fully repaired tachyonic enhancer. Man, I'm good."

Ethan stood, dusting his hands off. "Let's test it. Barry, suit up."

Barry nodded, donning his Flash suit. Ethan handed him the enhancer and helped secure it to his chest. The device hummed to life, emitting a faint blue glow.

"How do you feel?" Caitlin asked.

Barry's eyes sparkled with energy. "Faster."

Ethan crossed his arms. "Good. Because you're going to need every bit of that speed when we face Zoom again."
