Prologue
Who recommended this? I asked for a masterpiece, and now I’m stuck staring at some giant-eyed alien, thinking my heart’s about to give out.
Whoever called this a masterpiece, show yourself so I can pluck your eyeballs out, no joke.
Comments:
[Isn’t he the famous guy? How could someone who’s all about thrills be scared of this?]
[This dude thinks Digcraft is thrilling, hahaha. He asks for recommendations and then whines like a baby.]
[Still, I heard he finished Inlast in one go without even looking at guides?]
[Well, if you enable the mosaic settings, it’s not scary at all. The difficulty is the same, though.]
[LOL, okay, this guy’s got the physical prowess.]
[Idiot.]
It’s been twelve years since I’ve been navigating through various games.
Having cleared just about everything, I was at a loss for what to play, until I stumbled upon a game recommended by the community.
Then I got ambushed by a strange creature that left me dazed.
If only there was an option to censor, I could’ve handled most horror games just fine.
But how can I play a game where the characters look like that and there’s no censorship option in the first place!?
It’s ironic that this cursed game is touted as one of the greatest masterpieces on YouTube.
And what’s this about Digcraft being thrilling?
You think I’m traumatized just because I saw an Enderman at the water’s edge, mouth wide open, disappearing? You think I bought the game and sat it out?
…
Feeling awkward as bad memories resurfaced, I decided to post again in the community.
This is urgently needed.
[Your terrible taste has drained all the fun out of this, you pathetic loser.]
[If you’re that scared, try this (link) — it’s not bad.]
While scrolling through the comments, I noticed a strange link and clicked on it absentmindedly.
It was a mod you could install for the game I was playing, and I was dumbfounded as soon as I saw the name of the mod.
“For crying out loud, a ‘Super Coward Mode’? Are they trying to mock me…?”
I mumbled to myself, irritated by the disrespectful bunch, while scrolling further down.
“Still, this kind of thing is just insulting… Huh?”
The description was incredibly straightforward.
[Our Super Coward Mode changes the following aspects just for you, who, with your chicken-like guts, can’t even handle the game ‘Snow Castle’!]
Original image
(Simply a very bizarre picture of a giant tentacle monster)
Changed image
(Simply a cute girl wearing a ridiculous doll mask)
[Not only that, but we’ve removed everything from the game that could evoke any disgust or fear!]
[The weapons will be ridiculous, too!]
[Join the Super Coward Club, you sillies.]
[If you like it, just shut up and hit recommend!]
After reading through all the details about the mod, I was irked by the unnecessarily tough phrasing, but I couldn’t help my hand from moving to click the download button.
“What a devil’s trap this is. It clearly feels bad, yet I strangely want to go for it…”
The textures of all the strange creatures in the game would be changed to be annoying and cute. Some of those creatures even turned into characters that were not just cute but downright pretty.
This modder clearly knows what it means to be a total fanboy.
Worried that this mod might affect the storyline, I looked further and found out that even if I installed other mods, they wouldn’t significantly impact the story. That was a relief.
Still, it’s said to be a masterpiece, so shouldn’t I give it a try?
The only concern was that the download count was at zero, but I decided to ignore that.
That person who commented could have just made it not long ago.
What’s the worst that could happen? Just a virus infection and that’s it, right?
So, I clicked the download button right away.
There was no virus in the mod, and everything worked fine.
The only problem was that the computer monitor emitted such a blinding light that I ended up fainting from staring at it.
