Danmachi: Strongest Familia

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Daughter

Memories flooded Sol's mind, bringing him back to the time when Aina was first pregnant, and a deep longing for both of his girls washed over him.

Driven by this desire, Sol quickly left the family residence with Alfia by his side.

He'd heard recently that Aina hadn't been in good health, and this visit with Alfia seemed the perfect chance to help her regain some strength.

After all, wouldn't the recovery rune be helpful here?

Aina's residence wasn't far from the Sol family's quarters, so they arrived quickly.

It was a spacious single-family home, complete with a small yard out front. Through the gaps in the fence, Sol spotted a small figure diligently tending to the garden, watering flowers with great focus.

Sol smiled at the familiar sight. He knew that small figure well.

If things had followed the original course, Aina would have a daughter—one destined to play a major role in future events. In the original story, Aina's daughter would go on to serve as the protagonist's guide and support in his early days.

Yes, in that storyline, Aina's daughter would become Eina Tulle, the guild's advisor to adventurers!

When Sol first learned of Aina's pregnancy, he'd briefly wondered if this had been orchestrated by the world's corrective force.

But even if it was, couldn't the corrective force have found another person to guide Bell as his adventurer advisor? Half-elves weren't rare in Orario, and the guild certainly had options.

But asking his own daughter—a proud member of the Aurelion family—to work as a simple adventurer's advisor? Was this world looking down on him or on his family?

"Fine, I'll accept this child," he thought. "But there's no way I'll let the corrective power impose its will on her destiny!"

After all, he certainly wasn't about to let his daughter join the protagonist's entourage!

Yet the child was still named Eina, after her mother. Her full name: Aurelion Eina.

As he pushed the garden gate open slightly, Sol peered inside.

Eina, still absorbed in her gardening, hadn't noticed his arrival. She was lovingly caring for her plants.

He straightened his clothes, then glanced at Alfia, who nodded. After seeing the other party nodding for confirmation, Sol was relieved.

Alfia was also curious since she never saw Sol, her god, be so particular about his appearance before.

She's even wondering how sacred the child is in this yard.

"Eina-chan~" he called softly.

The familiar voice made Eina spin around, and she immediately dropped her watering can and dashed toward him.

Sol quickly crouched down, caught her at the waist with one arm, and lifted her up into a warm embrace.

"Well, did you miss Dad?"

"Hmph! You haven't visited in ages!" she said with a little huff, wrinkling her nose in mock indignation. But her smile quickly broke through.

Sol couldn't resist gently pinching her cute, pouting cheeks, causing her to squirm playfully.

Meanwhile, Alfia, who had accompanied Sol, stood there in shock.

Did she just hear… "Dad"?

Sol didn't deny it; in fact, his expression softened into one of clear affection.

So, her new employer had a child? And gods could have children with mortals? Alfia looked bewildered, wondering if she should give them some space.

"Aina is home," Sol said to Alfia without hesitation.

After a few more minutes of bonding with Eina, he finally set her down. The little girl kept a firm grip on Sol's hand, as if afraid he might slip away at any moment.

"Eina, dear, are we having guests?" called a gentle voice from inside the house, as Aina opened the door between the house and garden.

Aina stood quietly on the steps. Upon seeing Sol, her face lit up with a smile, especially as she noticed him holding Eina. Her smile grew even brighter.

With a graceful bow, she approached, her expression still reminiscent of the day she first joined the family.

"Honestly, Aina," Sol said with a chuckle, "why keep things so formal?"

At this, Aina blushed, lowering her gaze to her feet in shy modesty.

She was no longer a young girl, but her shyness remained, even with their child already so grown.

"Oh… Thank you for coming," she said softly.

"How have you been? I heard you hadn't been feeling well," Sol ask, his tone warm.

"Thank you for your concern, Sol-sama. I'm fine," she assured him, though her pale face betrayed her words.

Seeing this, Sol rested a reassuring arm on her shoulder and guided her inside, leading Eina by the hand.

Alfia followed without needing further instruction. Quiet and attentive, she was ready to do whatever Sol needed.

As they settled in the living room, Alfia placed her hands on Aina's shoulders and poured pure life energy into her frail body. Like water reviving a parched flower, the vitality quickly restored color to Aina's face.

The treatment was brief, but the recovery rune's life-giving force was potent.

Watching her mother's health return, Eina bounced over to Alfia, eagerly thanking her. Seeing the adorable girl—the daughter of her Lord God—Alfia's usual cold expression softened, and she returned Eina's enthusiasm with a smile, even exchanging a few kind words with her.

This level of warmth was rare, even for Riveria.
