Chapter 111: The Androids and Cell
The battlefield was a desolate wasteland, with the Z Fighters spread out as they faced off against Androids 17 and 18. Dust swirled in the air, kicked up by the violent clashes of energy. Despite their best efforts, the group quickly realized the androids were no ordinary opponents. With their infinite energy reserves and mechanical precision, they wore down even the strongest fighters.
Piccolo lunged at Android 17, launching a flurry of punches and kicks that the android blocked effortlessly. "You're tough," Piccolo admitted through gritted teeth, his forehead glistening with sweat.
"And you're running out of steam," Android 17 replied smugly, landing a powerful blow that sent Piccolo crashing into the ground.
Vegeta, now a Super Saiyan, squared off against Android 18. "You may be stronger than the others," Vegeta snarled, his golden aura flaring, "but I'm the Prince of Saiyans! I won't lose to a machine!"
Android 18 smirked. "We'll see about that."
Their battle was fierce, with Vegeta's Big Bang Attack nearly taking her by surprise. But her resilience and infinite energy proved too much, and Vegeta found himself faltering.
"I'm not done yet!" Vegeta roared, but Android 18's counterattack sent him sprawling.
Goku and Chi-Chi, however, held their ground. Goku's mastery of Super Saiyan allowed him to exchange powerful blows with Android 17, while Chi-Chi's martial arts training and newfound strength proved surprisingly effective. The duo worked in tandem, using precision and strategy to keep the androids at bay.
"Goku!" Chi-Chi shouted, dodging a blast. "Don't let up!"
"I wasn't planning to!" Goku replied, his aura intensifying as he sent a Kamehameha wave hurtling toward Android 17.
While the others struggled, Bell stood confidently beside Bulma, who held their child, Linger, securely in her arms. "Stay back," Bell told her.
"Like I'm going to let you do all the work," Bulma shot back, her eyes fierce. She stepped forward, her hands glowing with energy as she prepared a defensive barrier.
Bell smirked. "Alright then. Let's show them what we've got."
Facing Android 17, Bell moved with calculated precision, his Destroyer energy radiating around him in a deep purple aura. Unlike the others, he didn't tire, matching Android 17's seemingly endless stamina.
"Interesting," Android 17 said, dodging an energy blast. "You're not like the others."
"No," Bell replied, his voice calm yet commanding. "I'm much worse."
With a combination of Forced Spirit Fission and strategic strikes, Bell began to sap Android 17's energy, weakening him over time. Each blow he landed separated bits of the android's fused essence, making him stagger.
Bulma, meanwhile, used her own energy constructs to shield them from Android 17's attacks, ensuring their child was safe. Together, they overwhelmed the android, Bell landing the final blow that sent 17 crashing into the ground, incapacitated.
After the battle, the Z Fighters regrouped. "We need to get stronger," Piccolo said grimly.
"Agreed," Goku added. "The Hyperbolic Time Chamber should help us all reach new heights."
One by one, the fighters took turns in the chamber.
Gohan's Transformation: Gohan emerged from the chamber with his golden hair shining—he had finally achieved the Super Saiyan transformation, his strength and confidence greatly increased.
Goku's Mastery: Goku pushed himself further, mastering not only Super Saiyan but also progressing toward Super Saiyan 2 and mastering that too, his power reached new heights.
Vegeta's Resolve: Vegeta, fueled by his pride, honed his Super Saiyan form to its peak, determined to surpass both Goku and the androids.
Bell's Bottleneck: Bell, however, found himself at a crossroads. He sensed a barrier within his soul, a limit imposed by his unique existence. After deep meditation, he discovered the key to breaking this bottleneck: removing the constraints of mortality and embracing limitless growth. With this revelation, his power surged, surpassing even the gods.
While the Z Fighters trained, Cell continued his grim mission, absorbing humans to increase his power. Eventually, he encountered Androids 17 and 18.
Cell's power skyrocketed as he absorbed Android 17, transforming into his Semi-Perfect Form.
Despite the Z Fighters' efforts to stop him, Cell managed to absorb Android 18, achieving his Perfect Form. His new body radiated with power, and his confidence was unshakable.
The Z Fighters confronted Perfect Cell, each taking their turn to fight. Goku engaged him first, showcasing his incredible strength and techniques, but ultimately stepped back, believing Gohan had the potential to defeat Cell.
Bell, standing beside Gohan, placed a hand on his shoulder. "Do you want to fight him?" he asked gently.
Gohan hesitated. "I… I don't think I can."
Bell nodded. "Then let me handle this."
Stepping forward, Bell faced Cell. He didn't unleash his full power immediately, instead studying Cell's movements. This confused the bio-android.
"What's wrong?" Cell sneered. "Afraid of my perfection?"
"Not at all," Bell replied, his voice calm. "I just wanted to see how perfect you really are."
Using Forced Spirit Fission, Bell began to sap Cell's energy, undoing the fusion of the androids within him. With each strike, Cell's confidence faltered, his power waning.
"Impossible!" Cell roared, his aura flickering.
Bell smirked, his energy shifting into a fusion of Destroyer energy and Ultra Instinct. "Perfection is just another word for arrogance," he said, unleashing a devastating Hakai blast.
Cell's body disintegrated, erased from existence. The battlefield fell silent.
With Cell defeated, the Z Fighters regrouped. Gohan looked at Bell with admiration. "You're amazing," he said.
Bell ruffled Gohan's hair. "So are you, kid. Don't forget that."
As they returned to their lives, Bell held Linger in his arms, Bulma by his side. Peace had returned to the world—for now. But in the back of everyone's mind, they knew new challenges awaited.
For now, though, they could rest.
