Chapter 8: Slime Kingdom
Taki sat near the bonfire. The flame roared, with many animals on sticks roasting slowly.
He poked at the fire, his mind somewhere else. The fire consumed the logs quickly and thoroughly, leaving no ash or traces left behind. The only ash that remained in the bottom of the fire came from the leaves, the ash taking on a faint blue tone.
Bluesy slid into the room, eying the meats. "King, poyo?"
"Yes...?"
"Throne room now clean, poyo." Bluesy said, with a small slime. Several pieces of debris could be seen inside him, alongside different-shaped skulls that slowly corroded.
"Finally! I was getting tired of waiting!" Taki threw the stick on the side and picked up his smartphone.
They walked to the throne room. What was a ruined mess, with dead corpses and the smell of death, now is a proper throne room for a poor king. It was completely empty, except for the throne and pedestal. The floors still had cracks, there were pieces of the ceiling and walls missing, and the columns didn't have their upper halves.
Taki approached and sat on the bone throne. The Slimes, most of which were sticking to the walls and ceiling for cleaning, rushed to the center of the room.
Bluesy accompanied them, and they all bowed to Taki. 11 Green Slimes and 1 Blue Slime, all at Taki's command.
Taki grinned, standing up and opening his arms. "My dear Slimes. Today marks the day of our new beginning. Serving under me, we shall become the biggest kingdom in this world, and come to create a world where all can live under peace in one reunited banner. Today, the Kingdom of Azurea is born!"
The Slimes all 'clapped' together, using their pseudopods to hammer onto the ground, rumbling the ground slightly.
"Poyo!"
"Po yo yo!"
"Hail the King!" Bluesy shouted, bowing incessantly.
Taki clapped his hands once, causing the room to go quiet again.
"I shall assign you squads and names. If we are to become a proper kingdom, we should start organizing." "Divide yourselves into groups of three, and I'll give you roles and names."
The Slimes quickly made a circle and bickered among themselves. They then formed four groups of three and lined themselves.
The first group was Bluesy, and two green Slimes that looked bigger than the others. They bowed to Taki.
"You shall be known as King's Guard. From now on, you shall accompany me and assist in managing the Kingdom of Azurea. Bluesy, you are my personal secretary, understand?"
"Poyo!" They nodded and stood at the side of the throne. Bluesy stood in front of Taki, on the ground.
Taki lifted Bluesy up, and put him on the armrests of the throne.
Taki didn't see it, but a tear came out of Bluesy's eyes.
"Next."
A group of three slimes with scars on their shells approached. Their shells had a darker color than usual, and they had a tough look to them.
"You shall be known as Bruiser squad, your duty is hunting and bringing back food to the Kingdom, while we still can't do agriculture."
The three slimes grunted heavy "Poyo"s, nodding. They lightly bowed and slid out of the room.
Another group of three slimes approached. they looked... normal.
"You shall be known as the Maid squad, your duty is the cleaning and maintaining of our kingdom. Can you dig?"
The Slimes nodded at him.
"Your first task is to finish cleaning the other rooms in this cave, and cleaning the rocks. If possible, repair the cracks on the ceilings, walls, and floors of this dungeon."
The Slimes nodded again, bowed, and slid out of the room.
The last squad approached Taki. One of the Slimes was much bigger than the other two. the same size that Bluesy was before changing colors.
"You shall be known as the Resource squad. Your duty is the collection of resources for the expansion of the kingdom. For now, you shall collect as much wood as possible. Store the wood in one of the empty rooms near the entrance."
The Slimes nodded, bowed, and slid out of the room.
With this, most of the Slimes had roles. Taki turned on the dungeonphone, and crouched near the pedestal.
'1231024982' he thought to himself as he inputted the code into his phone.
[Access Code accepted.]

[Would you like to receive ownership?]
[Yes] [No]
Taki hammered the yes button, satisfied with the results of a day for once.
