Rebuilding

Alex calmed down directly after his attack landed and then he realized what his actions may have done. 'i may have over reacted a little.' he thought sheepishly. ' oh well should probably go check on astera' he thought with a shrug before vanishing as a bolt of lightning. moments later he appeared over the area astera used to be , yes used to be. now however there was merely debris everywhere and some of them heavier or aerodynamic things were still there though shifted. this included the smithy , gathering hub and a ship now firmly imbedded in the spot that once had a small waterfall.

'To be honest i can't say i was expecting much to be left but this is certainly not that bad to rebuild.' alex thought before heading to the battered but still standing giant tree where the people of astera likely holed up. this was proven true when he got up to that height with his wings and his enhanced eyes could see the buzz of activity in and around his nest. 'at least i didn't kill off everyone accidentally.' alex thought with a mental sigh of relief. his approach was noticed by the admiral who was moving crates outside and waved him over.

There were cheers of joy when the people of astera saw alex coming back as they assumed he was here to help. the admiral left behind the crate he was carrying and approached alex who had just landed. "good to see you made it sid , we only barely had a warning about this disaster ourselves. you have any idea what could have done this?" the man said seriously and alex nodded and made "gather the others" signs. five minutes later alex was lying through his teeth and blaming the disaster on the shara he killed.

Alex basically said that the shara was draining the earth veins which destabilized them but when alex killed it it self destructed causing this situation. "yeah the time with kulve made it clear that underground locations mess with your foresight so you can't be blamed." the admiral said after listening to alex explanation. "while this situation is less than ideal it's clear that without your intervention it may have been far worse so you have our gratitude for that." the fleet commander said seriously. " for now though we need to focus our attention on rebuilding , can we count on you?" the man asked alex who nodded.

The society of this world may be primitive but if anyone said they weren't quick builders alex might throttle them to death. a month had passed since the "disaster" and in this time astera had been rebuilt larger and even stronger thanks to alex using his magma powers to make the ash for roman cement. alex had introduced the method of creating the stuff to the people of astera and they fell in love with the cheap and durable material. the entire town had been rebuilt with this cement as a result since they were right next to a huge natural limestone quarry.

Alex had made a few architectural changes however to the town design from the wild "place it where ever" manner that they usually built to a more neat and ordered one. the changes made the efficiency shoot up since people tended to carry things by hand everywhere. alex wasn't ashamed to admit he may have stolen the roman buildings design for the places in the rebuilt town. the port was much wider and alex had even been helping craft a large ship to send overseas to help the other parts of the world.

This ship was far different than the normal clipper style that was made as it was closer to a modern battleship with metal reinforcements and a monster powered paddle wheel system as well as two sails. the monster powered paddle wheel was a well received idea from alex as it gave the people of astera a cheap source of labor and power. the monsters used for this were a pack of jagras who had been attacking the shipments between alex's nest and the new astera that were captured and forced to work for their food.
