Custom monster system

Elemental world limit

'Anyone else feel like i over trained for this?' alex joked mentally while looking around the now ice covered cavern. 'yeah i definitely over trained for this , pretty sure i've at least reached fatalis's level.' he thought before radiating heat to thaw the cavern and corpse for the group on its way. everyone in the group was confused as to why the rest of the cave system was bone dry but the part alex was in was literally dripping with water. it was fairly clear from the large intact corpse near alex that he definitely had something to do with this.

"Come on sid couldn't you let us have our turn first at least once?" the admiral joked seeing the corpse nearby. "first come first served." alex gestured with a smirk. the man laughed at that "can't really argue with that." the admiral said with a grin. "how'd you kill the big girl anyways? the signs nearby are kinda hard to discern in that regards." the man asked while pointing around the cavern filled with wet walls and puddles. alex sent out a few sparks between his claws and poked a puddle causing it to freeze.

"Hit her with thunder then switched to ice huh?" the man said out loud before falling into thought. "i can see how that might work if her gold conducts electricity before lowering her temperature to directly kill her , it would also explain all this water." the man muttered. the admiral looked up at alex who was waiting patiently. "same arrangement as usual i take?" he asked while pointing at the corpse and alex nodded. "alright i'll see to it you get your meat when the eggheads are done , go ahead and head back if you like we'll be here for a day or so." the admiral said before waving alex away.

Alex didn't need any more encouragement as he arced back out of the cave and into the sky as a bolt of lightning. resting on a cloud alex wondered what he should do now to pass the time until the iceborn dlc started. 'after stockpiling for this whole time i've reached about half the cost of the flying island but that's more of an end goal than anything else. should i spend the chunk of points to get my last three logia's? do i even NEED to get those anymore?' his thoughts were troubled by the ideas for the future.

In the end alex decided to get the remaining three logia's for balance before just lazing around until the start of the dlc events. the three he chose were the hie hie no mi , the mizu mizu no mi and finally the magu magu no mi. the price of all of these was two hundred and forty million points which was most of alex's saved points thanks to the massive price jump each logia had. after eating all three of those fruits all of his controllable elements seemed to harmonize and peak the peak of their power.

Unfortunately this was accompanied by the instinctual knowledge that he had hit the limit on his elemental powers. it was a suffocating feeling that came with this knowledge from all around alex that made him fearful. from his instinctual knowledge he could tell that this was the suppression of the world itself that existed so that no single individual monster or otherwise could truly wield the power destroy it. be unrivaled on the entire planet sure but once a certain point was reached you either stopped growing or left because the world itself would begin rejecting you.

If alex had know this was a possibility earlier he wouldn't have been so eager to take the elemental path but now he was stuck in between a rock and a hard place. on one hand he could just be satisfied with his current elemental prowess and look to improve elsewhere or he could stubbornly improve his elements further and eventually get expelled from the planet. alex no longer saw any point in waiting for the dlc since he was obviously stronger than everything that would show up as a result. it was a terribly hard subject to think about that may take him a huge amount of thinking to decide.
