Ego Feats? That is new for me. Maybe I got it when I reached level 20? That would make sense. There is stuff that I still don't have a clue on how they work.

Feats normally unlock special features and skills and need to be unlocked with special conditions.

I mostly only have the Silent Casting Feat on me, and not much other than that. The rest are just racial and class feats that allow me to resist cold and

With HP and MP fully restored and a body that can work, we step through back to the city. Aurelia starts to stretch the moment we appeared.

"I am ready for shit to get down." She explains. "Every time we come, something goes down!"

"I wish that wasn't the case…" I comment.

[Reach my altar. There is a gift waiting for you]

Huh? The System is speaking.

Something in my chest starts to feel warm.

[You have caused quite a stir and my sister and brother are also taking interest. Come, bring your weapon and the dragonkin]

I notice what it is. The amulet, the one that was given by the prophet of Demisaus. The one I 'borrowed' from Lisa's temple.

Maybe I will if I can access it when we are in town.

We teleport into town and the situation is not what we expected. The moment we went in, we found ourselves with more guards around town.

"Did we accidentally a civil war?" Aurelia asks when she notices the group of soldiers that are around us.

Normally, there were only a few guards in the streets on a corner… Now there are more soldiers roaming around the place, and they seem to be more vigilant.

Some soldiers close to our position are holding a group of young people and interrogating them. One of them is a catgirl, and everyone seems pissed off that they are in that situation.

"I don't know if this is Russell's doing or Oswald's…" I answer while looking around and the group of soldiers questioning.

But then, one of them notices us and approaches, making me worry we are in trouble. I hold Bloodless in an angle in case we need to fight.

"You three!" He says. "You seem suspicious!" The one that approaches us yells. "What are you doing in town?!"

"Huh? Did all we did these past two days here go unnoticed?" Aurelia asks while dropping her arms to the side. "Shouldn't we be famous by now?"

"Maybe Amber has a bad luck curse!" Lisa comments.

"I don't need another curse, even when invented…" I comment.

"Hey! I gave you an order! I demand to know who you are and what are you doing in town?!" The soldier asks again and steps closer.

"Watch it, asshole! We are in no mood to be ordered around!" Aurelia takes a step forward.

The soldier takes a step back and now looks nervous, placing his arms in the middle between them even when they are still a few steps of distance.

"Aurelia, don't." I say.

"Boring!" She answers, but takes a step back.

"We are working for Russell." I say while still holding the sword, and making sure he knows it by shaking it so it sounds in its scabbard.

"Stop that." Karina comments. "It's annoying."

Don't start now.

"So, we are going to meet him and ask him what is going on." I will continue.

The soldiers looked at us, up and down. And when I think he is going to back down, he pulls out his sword and starts yelling orders.

"I don't believe the Mayor is going to have a suspicious bunch like you three working for him!" He then starts to wave his arm. "Guards! I request support!"

Some other guards and soldiers take notice and start to approach us. What a fucking waste of time! They are coming here.

Either they work for Oswald or this asshole has such a big ego that he cannot take a no for an answer, even when I told him what we are doing.

"What is going on?" One of the approaching soldiers asks.

"They failed to identify on my order and are claiming to work for Russell! They are suspicious!" He says.

The soldiers look at each other for a moment and a few steps closer.

"Okay, everyone. Drop your weapons. We need to sort this out." One says.

"What?! T-they must be working for Oswald!" Lisa says.

"Oh, that asshhole is trying to take this whole town by force?!" Aurelia smirks."That idiot is only giving me reasons to go wild!"

She summons her scythe and holds it against her shoulder.

"Sigh…" I only want to be done with this town at this point. "I demand to see Russell."

"Stupid Vulpin, I am the one giving the orders here!" The first guard says. "Put that sword down or I will…!"

Then someone puts his hand on his shoulder. He turns his face to the person only to get met with a punch in his face that made him drop to the ground that instant.

"I always wanted to do that!" A boyish voice said. "What a tool this guy has been, nyah!"

"B-big bro! You shouldn't be attacking people like that!" Another voice, female this time, says. "T-they are guards also!"

"W-who the fuck do you think you are?!" The guard who is still shaken in the ground says. He has a line of blood coming from his mouth. "Y-you just assaulted…"

He stops talking when he sees who attacked him.

Two felynes, one male dressed like a buttler and a female as a maid, were standing right between the group of soldiers. The one that punched him is shaking his hand, probably from the pain of delivering a punch to his face.

They both have white fur and a long tail. Their eyes are monochromatic. The male felyne has a left blue eye and a yellow eye. While the girl has it the other way around: blue right eye and yellow left eye. And they look very similar.

"General, these are the people Mayor Russell asked us to escort to townhall." The male one says.

"I don't appreciate you punching my men…" says a soldier that is with jim, that is dressed the same way Oswald was, more decorated.

"S-sorry…" The girl says.

The general takes a good look at both of us, then at his soldier that is still on the floor. Then he takes a look at everyone else.

"What are all of you doing here? Get back to work!" He orders and the soldiers slowly go away. Then he kicks the fallen soldier as he is standing up. "This incident is going to your review next month, rookie!"

"Heh… I like this guy." Aurelia says.

"Sorry for this mess. You understand we are paranoid with all that is happening… this does not mean we should treat allies and citizens like this." The general says and then leaves with his now limping soldier.
