Cursed to level 1 with an Ego weapon

Although I am feeling better, my body is still stiff and from time to time I feel a muscle scream at me 'please, return to the bed Amber. I can only take too much'.

Outside it is night already, as I already knew. The moon is big over us, gazing into the land of the Nothingness like a guardian to the Gates. Its light is the only thing that allows us to see the land well. In the distance, something big howls after hunting prey, reminding of the dangers of our surroundings..

I swear that is how they sound.

I manage to make my way out where Aurelia grunts the moment she sees me.

"I said I just need some air." She says. "Tch… don't get annoying."

"We still need to talk." I say.

"Ugh… don't get annoying… I already accepted your apology."

"I was about to tell you something!" I complain. "Y-you just stood up and walked away!"

"Just take that I accepted your apology." She grunts when she answers, not looking at me.

Normally, I would shake it as she being her normal self. But the way she is acting seems much mor… different. She is not looking at me, today she acted weird when we talked about her title… and then just went in and alerted the whole jail.

"What is happening?" I ask her, moving closer.

"Nothing."

"She is not good at lying…" Karina says.

"Are you going to leave me alone?" Aurelia says. "You're annoying today."

"Why did you rush into the room today? Did something happen?" I insist on asking.

Maybe I should not continue, but I know she is trying to hold something and I still need to speak with her.

"... you are insisting too much today! Seriously, go to sleep, it is nothing complicated."

"Then it is something." I step closer. "Aurelia, you are acting strange today… and I worry."

"Holy fuck… why are you this emotionally approachable when you are half naked?" Aurelia turns and her expression is threatening.

Her comment made me look down at my undone kimono, and I try to cover myself better with it.

"Why cannot you just leave it at that? It was not our day! We survived! What else does it matter?!"

"Sigh… maybe you are right." I decide to concede. "We are alive… that is what matters."

I go ahead and sit beside her. Aurelia clicks her tongue, but doesn't try to push me away or take distance.

We sit there for a few moments. Not talking, just staring at the peaks of the mountains that surround us. I am tired but I don't want to sleep.

"We are going to go hunting this place when we become strong enough. You hear me?" She suddenly says. "I want to hunt the strongest beast that is in this place."

"That would be a Dream Snatcher Warg or a Dark Crawler of the Depths. They are not the biggest things here, but they tend to be harder to evade than the rest of things."

"How the fuck do you know all this shit?"

"I could tell her you are a nerd." Karina says.

"Shut up." I answer.

"You have to start saying the shit that spirit says, Amber. If she likes to talk shit, then she should know what happens when I can hear her."

"Well, Aurelia, I am not telling you what she just said."

"That is because you are a big ass nerd!" Karina continues.

"You know, we were getting emotional here, Karina!"

"Hey, is she really flat?"

"H-hey!" Karina blurts out.

"Like a board."

"Hmph!" Karina pouts with her arms crossed. "It is not my fault I cannot grow them. Didn't you say that every size is fine?"

"And you said that made it worse. But yes! All sizes are good!" I give her a thumbs up.

"Yeah, that is why you keep staring at Lisa more than anyone else!" Aurelia shakes my hair.

"Shut the fuck up!"

"And you…" Aurelia gives me a smug smile… and then grabs me and wraps her arms around me.

"Ah! Let go!" I scream the moment I feel both her hands on my chest! "S-stop!"

"You are not bad! Too bad you don't show off that much by wearing this big tunic!" She says while groping me.

I already knew by this point, but they are way too sensitive and is not making me comfortable getting groped like this by surprise. I try to move away but she is much more physically stronger than me!

And I am still getting used to this stupid body.

"S-stop! They are sensible!" I say, trying to convince her to let me go.

"I know! I caught you some nights ago testing that out!"

I fucking paralyze.

Oh the fuck no.

My face is burning red. Those are the words no one wants to hear!

"W-what did you s-say?" I ask.

"I woke up one night while we were with the Movers and I saw you moving a bit too much…" She answers.

"Shit!" I curse. "Forget what you saw! Erase that from your memory this instant or I will find a spell to do it!"

"Haha! You get flustered with so much ease! Is okay, is natural."

"That is not the problem!"

Shit, I hope no one else saw…

Then my gaze goes to Karina.

She avoids eye contact, looking in another direction.

"Y-you…"

"You keep forgetting I don't sleep! Is it not my fault you cannot keep it in your pants… tunic!"

"Can we change topics?!" I ask.

"Huh? She can barely take anything herself." Aurelia smirks.

"It is just embarrassing, okay?!"

I sit away from her for a few moments, completely embarrassed about the whole situation. I still cannot believe I was caught in the act and I didn't notice! Heck! How the fuck did I forget that Karina was around?! I don't think that well when horny and thought that I was capable of doing it inadvertently.

When I calm down, I decide to ask Aurelia.

"Hey… Aurelia." I say, and she pays attention. "Do you want to go home when we are done here?"

I can see her expression shift from the fun she was having to a melancholic expression and fear. Her face was showing more sour emotion, the smile in her face falters.

"No… I don't want to." She admits. "I am not ready to say why… but I don't want to."

I pause for a few moments.

"I see… okay, you tell me when you are ready."

"Fine." She stares at the ground for a few moments, then she clicks her tongue like something was making her feel tense. Then she looks back at me. "I am not good at this shit… but if you want to talk about how you are feeling about what happened to Kathrina or anything else… you can just speak with me."

I look at her in surprise. I nod and smile

"Sorry I… made you worry today." She says at the end.
