"I dont really have a plan as seeing that we have more allies my original plan is useless" says Mathew

"Which is ?" Derrick says confused

"We planned on first finding Benjamin and Aurora, then we would camp somewhere in the night before continuing the search for the village" says Mathew

"Well its still the same plan minus us being added to the equation" says Heliop

"True but our large numbers might make us a target for the grassland drake, and I don't think any of us would like to face that risk" says Mathew

"Speaking of targeted, the Foralter twins are our biggest enemies now seeing as we escaped them" says Derrick worried

"You encountered them ?" Says Mathew in shock

"How did you even escape" says Mathew

"Aurora made a quick plan that worked out" says Benjamin

"Congrats !" says Mathew

"We should get some sleep my mana is running low, healing magic takes quite the toll" Lelovia says as she yawns

"Yeah i'll keep watch for now" says Aurora

"How are you not sleepy" Benjamin says confused

"No mother stop it" Mathew mumbles in his sleep too quiet for anyone else to hear

She throws Kara to the ground as she pulls a fire poker for the fire place and strikes her with it

"I gave you a chance you complete disgrace of a daughter" the woman says as Kara screams in pain

"If it were you and your father here alone you'd be dead already so maybe you should expend some thanks instead of shrieking you whore" the woman says still striking Kara with the fire poker scarring her, but only in places easily disguised

"If I was you real mother I would have hanged myself the day you were born" the woman says smirking maniacally

Kara clenches her fist and strikes at the woman but pauses just before hitting her

"Oh, have you remembered what happened to you the first time you hit me" the woman says pointing to a scar on her cheek

"Your father almost killed you that night" the woman says while smiling

"How does it feel to have such potential only to be beaten by someone completely out of your league, then on top of that being slowly surpased by your little brother" the woman says laughing

Kara looks down in shame tears slowly dripping from her eyes

"Are you crying" the woman says in a calm tone

"I'm sorry I didnt mean to hurt you" the woman says reasuringly

Kara looks up and sees the disgusted eyes of her mother

"But being your mother makes me ill to my soul" the woman says before striking Kara with even more ferocity

Even since the death of Mathew and Kara's mother this was how it has always been for Kara, the same pain and suffering that made her want to snap everyday the constant scolding, beating and shame was a heavy load for a child

"Mother stop it !" Mathew shouts as he graps onto the womans clothes

Mathew always coming to save her from injury always queled her anger even though it was temporary

"Stop hitting my sister" Mathew says as he pushes the woman away

"You damn brat" the woman goes to strike Mathew but is stopped by his father

"What do you think you are doing" there father says in a rough tone

"I'm sorry sir" the woman says quivering

There father looks at Kara as he scoffs at her

"Get out" there father says as the woman rushes out of the room

"And you go to sleep now" says there father, a insignificant yet noticeable expression of sorrow on his face

"Yes father" Kara says as she gets up and heads to her room

"Come now Mathew you should be sleeping now" there father says as he picks up Mathew carrying him to his room

Mathew looks at Kara smiling and waving her bye, Kara waves back with a soft smile

"Hey Mathew" Benjamin says before gently shaking Mathew

"A few more minutes" Mathew says lazily

"Believe me I would give you the time but we aren't exactly in the environment to give the benefit of the doubt" Benjamin says before fully standing up from his crouched posture

"And besides, I wouldn't want you to go back to that nightmare" Benjamin says tauntingly

"Get up, we don't have the time for this" Aurora says sternly

"Ah" Mathew grunts while getting up

"You know the ground isn't really all that comfortable, coming from first hand experience" Mathew says before grabbing his dagger

"I can attest" Benjamin says while running his neck

"We don't have the time for such trivial conversations" heliop says annoyed

"Overnight when me and Aurora where on gaurd I sensed the creation of an rune" lelovia says after walking up to Benjamin

"The reason I could sense it was most likely because it was created by my master, miseria" lelovia says

"The reason why this is important is because it's a transmutation rune, making it unlikely to be a barrier made from Improvision of the trail bounds" says Aurora

"Which fits with my theory, that the way we exchange points is from an alter of sorts" says Aurora

"It's the location of the village, but why would the alter be created so late" Mathew asks

"I believe it's a clue, seeing as no group has found the village so far" Derrick says

"So it was purposefully not made right away to serve as a possible clue if we didn't find it by now ?" Benjamin asks

"But that would only create a unfair disadvantage to the duos without a mage" Benjamin says
