Chapter 91: The Roar of the Bone Dragon_2

"Little fellow, where are your eyes wandering to? Didn't you get enough when your mother nursed you as a child?"

Mo Yue noticed his gaze and reproached him playfully.

Su Chen lowered his head, not daring to say a word.

"Lift your head and look into my eyes."

Mo Yue suddenly leaned in, her tone eerie.

Su Chen's heart skipped a beat, yet he couldn't help but lift his head. As soon as he did, he felt as if he had been struck by lightning!

In Mo Yue's eyes, two beams of red light flared up again, piercing into the depths of Su Chen's soul, causing an excruciating headache that made him want to scream.

"Don't be nervous, look into my eyes, and you will feel an unprecedented joy."

Mo Yue's red lips parted slightly, her voice hypnotic and bewitching, as Su Chen's vision began to blur, and the defenses in his subconscious mind gradually loosened.

"You are my servant, do you hear? For all eternity, you will follow Mo Yue."

"For all eternity, follow Mo Yue..."

Su Chen murmured to himself, his consciousness beginning to fall completely.

But just as Mo Yue showed a knowing smile, a powerful force came rushing in again, breaking through the magic array she had painstakingly built in one go!

This time, however, Su Chen did not fully awaken, and he stared blankly at Mo Yue as the clarity in his eyes returned at an exceedingly slow pace. Mo Yue initially thought she had failed again but was overjoyed at the sight. "Thankfully, it was halfway successful, but that damn power..."

She bit her lip, a resigned look flashed in her eyes. "Fine, this works too; it won't let the Carefree Sect discover any flaws too early. However, the plan will need some adjustments."

Su Chen slowly fell asleep in her arms, and in his dreams, it was the silhouette of Qi Ling running while looking back.

"Su Chen, hurry and catch up, quick..."...

"Qi Ling!"

Su Chen stared blankly at the empty room, his forehead covered in cold sweat.

He felt as if he had had a long and painful nightmare, leaving him physically and mentally exhausted, unable to muster any strength. He glanced around but didn't see Mo Yue's figure. Could she have left already?

At that moment, the door to the room was pushed open, and a chilly shadow entered.

"You're awake."

The voice was indescribably cold, like a walking corpse. Su Chen frowned, "It's you?"

The newcomer was none other than Ghost Howl, expressionless, looking at Su Chen with a puzzled gaze as if staring at a corpse. Su Chen was disgusted by such an emotionless stare and slightly turned his head away.

"The Sect Leader wants me to take you out."

He stood at the door without moving, his tone still as cold as ice.

"I'm not going out."

Su Chen refused.

Ghost Howl's eyes narrowed, and a slight killing intent soon emanated from him. "Think through the consequences."

"At worst, you kill me. I won't be in cahoots with you lot."

Facing Ghost Howl, Su Chen's strong pride found a place to show itself.

"Fine. Since you said it, don't blame me."

Ghost Howl sneered, transforming instantly into an afterimage, appearing in front of Su Chen!

"What are you doing?"

Su Chen was startled and was about to resist!

But Ghost Howl simply twisted his arms behind his back, rendering him immobile. Amid Su Chen's furious shouts, Ghost Howl dragged him out of the room.

"Let me go, bastard. If you have the guts, release me and fight me fair and square!"

Su Chen was still being stubborn.

But Ghost Howl ignored him, forcefully dragging him to a spacious and secluded place.

Exhausted from struggling, Su Chen quieted down, carefully observing the unfamiliar cave-like location.

The cave was about fifty square meters, its lighting dim and eerie. The walls were carved with obscure and difficult patterns, which occasionally revealed partial clarity under the flickering beast oil lamps. Su Chen looked on, a bit dazed.

"Isn't this..."

A bright light suddenly flashed in his memory.

Ghost Howl stood tall, looking at him coldly, his breath gloomy as he spoke, "What is this?"

"These are the patterns etched on the Yue Peak!"

Su Chen couldn't help but voice out his shock.

Ghost Howl raised a brow, a cold smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "Looks like your memory isn't bad. You've managed to recall this."

Listening to his harsh words, Su Chen couldn't help but retort, "Really? I don't need your praise."

Ghost Howl snorted, gazing at the dim walls, his pupils momentarily lost under the lamplight. "This is the swordsmanship left behind by Master Wushen, though I didn't expect your Carefree Sect would also have a copy."

"Master?"

Su Chen's face changed, his heart pounding in fear, "Is the sword manual engraved on Yue Peak from your master?"

Ghost Howl nodded indifferently, "He was also the former Sect Leader of our Blood Sect, but because he was ambushed by experts from your Carefree Sect, he perished atop Yue Peak on Three Pure Ones Mountain. To think of how arrogant and self-assured a hero he was back then, yet he met such a base fate. Those so-called righteous people, in my eyes, are nothing more than sinister schemers with only trickery at their disposal."

Su Chen, agitated, looked at Ghost Howl, longing to jump at him with all his might, but he knew he wasn't nearly capable of that. Being upright and unyielding was certainly admirable, but if it was beyond one's means, that was pitiful.

Ghost Howl glanced at Su Chen's reaction, then his tone returned to being cold, "I brought you here not to complain to you. From now on, obediently follow me and learn the 'God-Slaying Swordsmanship' on these walls!"

Su Chen trembled all over, looking at Ghost Howl with disbelief as he shook his head, "No way, I won't learn this heretical swordsmanship, not even if it kills me!"

"Is that so? Well, then, let's see how long you can endure the torment of the 'Bone-Devouring Heart-Eating Ant.'"
