Chapter 106: Dragon Mountain Ice Emperor, A-Level Mercenary Mission
"Why are we going to your house?"
"Of course, to prepare for entering the Forest of Death. Didn't you hear Lord Tianhui say just now, the special training candidates aren't fully decided yet, and we're all very concerned."
"By the way, I wanted to ask this evening, what's the connection between the Forest of Death and the special training?"
Su Chen ran a few steps forward, standing in line with Siger Meiruo.
Siger Meiruo deliberately glanced back at Ghost Howl, then quickly said to Su Chen, "The Forest of Death, of course, is the destination for the special training, hehe."
Su Chen had a sudden realization, "That's actually what I guessed too."
"Little brother is really smart."
Siger Meiruo called out like this, slightly tilting her head, the corner of her eye glancing at Ghost Howl, noticing he was indeed very cold, with no reaction at all.
"Then what are we going to prepare?"
Su Chen's curiosity was opened; he couldn't stop talking.
"Help sister defeat a really powerful guy, replace him for the spot to enter the Forest of Death!"
Siger Meiruo said mysteriously.
Su Chen was startled in his heart. He looked deeply at Siger Meiruo and said no more.
The Siger family at night, was as brightly lit as an Imperial Palace.
Standing in front of this expansive mansion, Su Chen seemed to be admiring a temple. The heartfelt sigh was fully expressed.
"It's even bigger than the Biluo Clan..."
"If little brother wants to come, once this special training is over, sister will have people build a tower for you, how about it?"
Siger Meiruo's beautiful eyes were smiling; her pretty face looked so beautiful under the night.
Su Chen shook his head, "No, I can't get used to living in such a big house; it would be troublesome if I got lost."
Siger Meiruo let out a peal of laughter, then under the astonished gazes of several guards, she led Ghost Howl and Su Chen into the mansion...
The vast Siger family.
Brightly lit, as if it were daytime on the open ground, surrounded by a group of well-dressed young men and women. They were encircling a circle, occasionally cheering or expressing regret. Ghost Howl was leaning against the main hall door a few meters away from the open ground, arms crossed, as if he hadn't heard the shocked and extremely dissatisfied shouts coming from inside the hall!
"Absolutely not! Letting an outsider represent our Siger Clan, if this gets out, won't it make others laugh their heads off?"
A deep and rough voice exploded like thunder.
"Third brother is right, Father, please reconsider this matter."
A tall, wide-framed man in a green military uniform said solemnly.
Following him was Siger Meiruo's insistent voice, "Dad, Grandfather has already considered it, there's absolutely no problem."
"Nonsense, when did you learn to fool around like this?"
The man frowned, looking righteous, "The Siger Clan's century-old reputation, if it were to be destroyed by an outsider, who would take responsibility? You?"
Siger Meiruo was stunned, "Dad, Su Chen is the little brother I just recognized, far stronger than many in the family; if you don't believe it, you can let them compete?"
Sigmund gazed sharply at Su Chen beside Siger Meiruo, clearly with a hint of disdain on his face, "You say he's stronger than many in the family, I don't believe it."
His shaking head hit the mark for Siger Meiruo.
"I said it, if you don't believe, you can let them compete."
She smiled confidently.
Siger Hughes, sitting in the center of the main hall, looked calm, even leisurely sipping tea.
"Very well! Since niece insists on letting him make a fool of himself, then I'll oblige you."
The thick, rough-voiced stout man, wearing a green military uniform, with thick eyebrows slanted into his temples and eyes gleaming, like two dazzling stars in the night sky. His face slightly darkened, he shouted in a low voice, "Ting'Er, come in!"
Upon hearing this, a youth still watching the family selection outside the hall rushed in like a flash of light! His whole body crackled with sizzling white light, a fierce look, especially a slanted scar on his left cheek, adding a hint of ferocity.
Su Chen's eyes narrowed; he suddenly saw that the youth was grasping a ball of crackling thunder in his right hand, the fierce wind blowing his short brown hair, making it flutter continuously.
"Father!"
The youth looked at the stout man, seeming to have eyes only for him.
"Go defeat that young man for me."
The stout man said coldly.
Upon hearing this, the beast-like Sigtin fiercely crushed the crackling thunder in his hand, causing electric light to splash in the hall.
"Yes, father."
He said in a deep voice, his eyes showing a fierce light as he looked at Su Chen, as if seeing a dead man.
Being looked down upon like this, Su Chen's heart had already surged with a sense of battle. He glanced at Siger Meiruo, and after receiving an approving nod, he stepped towards Sigtin.
Immediately, all the important members of the Siger family in the hall looked at the two confronting youths in the center.
One was the most outstanding youth of the Siger family's younger generation, and the other was an Eastern youth said to be able to defeat the elites of the Siger family; what kind of fierce battle would this be, everyone watched with anticipation. Of course, as members of the Siger family, the majority still hoped that Sigtin, known as the "War God", would win.
Sigtin clenched his giant fist, a very dazzling electric light crackled out, enveloping his whole body! Su Chen was startled, but heard Siger Meiruo exclaim, "Su Chen brother, he's going to transform!"
"Transform?"
Before Su Chen could react, Sigtin, encased in electric light, shot out fiercely, his hair was standing on end, like quills on a porcupine. The upper part of his clothes was also burned tattered by the current. But his predatory eyes showed an intense white, becoming more fierce and violent.
