Chapter 103: Princess Siger Meiruo, I really wish she were my sister_3
There was an elderly man in a wide robe with a bushy beard, also with a full head of white hair, but his eyes were as bright as stars, and a big smile hung on his face as he walked steadily. Behind him followed several young men and women, all elegantly dressed and attractive. Walking beside him was a middle-aged man in a black suit with a graceful appearance, and beside him was a handsome young man with an equally elegant demeanor. The young man seemed to spot Su Chen at once, with a flash of light in his eyes.
Su Chen was surprised to see that among those following the elderly man was Miss Siger Meiruo, whom he encountered at the Jin Shili Grand Inn.
"Is it her?"
Su Chen said curiously.
Ghost Howl snorted softly, slightly turning his head.
A smile appeared on Bi Luo Xiong Lie's face as he repeatedly apologized, "Haha, I'm really sorry, Hughes, I thought you were all busy at this time, so I didn't send out the invitations..."
"Xiong Lie, since you know your mistake, hurry and prepare a grand reception for us?"
The smile on the elder in the wide robe's face grew wider, "Today we shall have a few good drinks, and not leave until we're drunk!"
"Alright, alright, Xiong Feng, Xiong Fan, hurry up and prepare the food and drinks. Today I won't leave until I'm drunk with Sith."
The two men responded and then glanced at Ghost Howl standing there before quickly retreating.
"Haha, good that you recognize the situation... Ah, who are these two friends?"
Siger Hughes, the elderly man in the wide robe, finally noticed Ghost Howl and Su Chen beside him, and asked with curiosity.
Bi Luo Xiong Lie introduced, "These two are esteemed guests from afar, Hughes."
"Grandpa, I've met them before."
Siger Meiruo suddenly spoke up, and instantly everyone turned to look at Ghost Howl and Su Chen.
Su Chen's mouth twitched, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
"Oh? You've met them before?"
Siger Hughes frowned, "Where did you meet them?"
"At Jin Shili Inn, while queuing with me for registration."
Siger Meiruo glanced at Su Chen with a smile and said in a cheerful voice.
Siger Hughes nodded, "Xiong Lie, let's chat in the pavilion upstairs, it's too crowded here."
Bi Luo Xiong Lie laughed, "Alright, Dawson nephew, would you join us?"
"Hmm."
The middle-aged man in the black suit nodded.
"Dad, I want to play downstairs."
The handsome young man said.
"Alright, don't wander around, I'll take you home later."
The man said gently, then followed Bi Luo Xiong Lie and Siger Hughes, effortlessly leaping onto the ten-meter-high terrace!
Su Chen was secretly startled inside, thinking how these seemingly gentle old men and others possess such mysterious strength?
"Little sir, we've met again~" Siger Meiruo's heavenly voice suddenly rang out, making Su Chen's face stiffen, "Heh, could you not call me little sir?"
Siger Meiruo laughed lightly, "So, what should I call you then?"
Su Chen glanced at Ghost Howl, thought for a moment, and then said, "Just call me Su Chen."
"Su Chen?"
Siger Meiruo pondered for a moment and then revealed a friendly smile, "How old are you this year?"
"Twelve."
Su Chen answered truthfully, while Ghost Howl cast a cold glance at him.
"Since you're younger, how about I call you Su Chen little brother?"
Siger Meiruo suddenly looked at Su Chen with a triumphant expression and smiled brightly.
Su Chen opened his mouth but couldn't utter a word, which made Siger Meiruo chuckle, "What's wrong, do you think I'm too old for 'sister' to suit me?"
"It's not that."
Su Chen shook his head repeatedly.
"Then why?"
"Because we're not that familiar yet."
Su Chen lowered his head.
Siger Meiruo, however, smiled lightly, disregarding Ghost Howl's murderous gaze, and approached Su Chen with a kind expression, "We're not familiar yet, but as we spend more time together, we naturally will be; not good at socializing while traveling is really not good."
Su Chen blushed and muttered, "Oh..."
"That's right, summon the courage you showed last time in Jin Shili, and I believe you'll do better."
Siger Meiruo placed her hand on Su Chen's shoulder like an older sister, then glanced at Ghost Howl with meaning, and walked towards the circle formed by the crowd accompanied by Sith and several youths from the Siger Clan.
Su Chen stared at her back for a long time, feeling as if his spirit was drawn by some force, unable to move his focus away from Siger Meiruo. This confident and beautiful noblewoman seemed to have entered his heart all at once.
"What, lost after just a few words?"
Ghost Howl said indifferently.
Su Chen shook his head, retracting his gaze from Siger Meiruo, and whispered, "I just think she's very kind. If she were really my sister, that would be great..."
