Cultivation: I Can Reincarnate Into Various Worlds

Chapter 305: 192, Flying Immortal Purple Mansion

As she spoke, her face filled with intense wariness. It seemed that if Xu Xing's reply was even slightly amiss, she would immediately engage in a fierce battle.

Qiming Sect? Upon hearing these words, Xu Xing felt a stir in his heart. The Black Mountain Sect of his past life was a power under the Qiming Divine Mansion. His teacher, Shi Yuyan, was also an emissary of the Qiming Divine Mansion. This Qiming Sect might very well have some connection with the Qiming Divine Mansion.

"I am a Freelance Cultivator from the Li Dynasty who accidentally intruded upon your esteemed land. Please forgive me," he explained after a brief contemplation.

A strange Cultivator had suddenly appeared in the Sect Residence. His Cultivation was clearly not weak, enough to alarm anyone.

From what he could tell, this female cultivator's Cultivation was likely around the Five Tribulations Ghost Immortal realm, only slightly stronger than the Yellow-clothed Old Daoist.

"A Freelance Cultivator from the Li Dynasty?"

The female cultivator was taken aback. Freelance Cultivators, lacking resources and Spirit Lands, usually only reached the Three or Four Tribulations Ghost Immortal realm. Although she couldn't penetrate Xu Xing's Cultivation, she roughly estimated him to be at least a Seven Tribulations Ghost Immortal. Such a powerful Freelance Cultivator couldn't possibly be unknown in the Li Dynasty.

"As a child, I chanced upon a Ghost Immortal inheritance…" Xu Xing began to lie effortlessly. "After one hundred and twenty years of Cultivation, I reached the Seven Tribulations Ghost Immortal realm. Regrettably, the path ended there. Having found no Fellow Daoists in the Li Dynasty, I came to the Wu Yi Mountain Range alone, searching for any trace of Immortals..."

However, this time, the alias he used was not Chang Kun, but the name of the King of Sorrow Yao Dang. He had used the name Chang Kun previously at the Black Mountain Sect. If the Qiming Sect was indeed related to the Qiming Divine Mansion, using the alias Chang Kun would undoubtedly expose his true identity.

Reincarnation, living a second life… This was a secret of paramount importance, one that would make all the powerful individuals in the Emperor Jin World covet it intensely.

"Brother Yao speaks the truth. There are hardly any cultivators left in the Li Dynasty…" the female cultivator nodded slightly in agreement.

However, though she said so, she didn't truly believe Xu Xing's "tall tales." She secretly sent a message to a House Elder within the sect.

He isn't from another sect. There are no traces of other sects' Dao techniques…

Presently, an aged voice reached Hua Shu's ears.

"Bring him in. We can accept him into the sect," the aged voice spoke again.

...

"Since the ancient heavenly disaster, the Li Dynasty became a land devoid of Spiritual Energy. Although small Spiritual Veins still emerged, they couldn't sustain a sect's needs," Hua Shu explained. "Therefore, the sects formerly in the Li Dynasty all relocated to this Wu Yi Mountain Range, establishing new Sect Residences here."

Having received instructions from the House Elder, Hua Shu finally relaxed, her intense vigilance towards Xu Xing lessening.

Then, she and Xu Xing formally introduced themselves, and she guided him into the Qiming Sect.

"Although the Li Dynasty is a land devoid of Spiritual Energy, its vast territories often give birth to geniuses blessed with great Luck. These individuals then venture deep into the mountain range to join various sects." As Hua Shu led the way, she provided Xu Xing with some common knowledge. "However, Ghost Immortals with a Cultivation as high as Brother Yao's are exceedingly rare."

In her view, although Xu Xing possessed a high Cultivation, his heritage as a Freelance Cultivator was limited. Thus, his understanding of "this world" was likely quite scarce.

"Senior Sister Hua, what place lies beyond this Wu Yi Mountain Range?" Xu Xing voiced his doubt. The Wu Yi Mountain Range seemed boundless. He had traveled more than ten thousand li yet still couldn't see its end.

"I don't know..." Hua Shu shook her head. "During our Cultivation, we once asked an elder about this. The elder said that ancestors of the Qiming Sect had attempted to venture beyond the Wu Yi Mountain Range. After traveling a hundred thousand li, however, they only found a Heavenly Abyss. The further one ventures, the sparser the Spiritual Energy becomes, eventually resembling the Li Dynasty—a land devoid of Spiritual Energy."

She paused, then added, "However, there's a rumor within the sect: if one can find the bronze cauldron left by the Immortals back then, it's possible to leave the Wu Yi Mountain Range..."

The Immortals' bronze cauldron? Xu Xing recalled the half-finished Cave Mural. He had guessed at the time that the missing half of the Cave Mural likely depicted the Immortal abandoning the cauldron. That mural must have hidden the bronze cauldron's location. Perhaps sects like the Qiming Sect had erased parts of the Cave Murals. After all, if he could discover them, there was no reason the Qiming Sect and others couldn't. As for why the Qiming Sect hadn't obliterated all the murals, that was beyond his comprehension. Perhaps deeper secrets were involved.

The interior of the sect was like a world unto itself—a true Cave. Ethereal immortal mountains floated amidst mist, adorned with pavilions, towers, and Palaces. Waterfalls cascaded down, and rare flowers, exotic grasses, and unique birds and beasts were visible everywhere.

Hua Shu led Xu Xing to a Palace at the foot of a Short Mountain, where they met several of the Qiming Sect's House Elders. Each of these House Elders possessed a high level of Cultivation. Though not as powerful as Xu Xing, most were at the Eight Tribulations Ghost Immortal or Elixir Mark Realm.

The process was similar to joining other sects: his name, origin, and background were questioned, then duly recorded.

"Yao Dang… Seven Tribulations Ghost Immortal, one hundred thirty-seven years old…"

An old man with white hair and a white beard entered from outside the hall. He glanced at Xu Xing a few times and nodded slightly. "From now on, you are my Disciple."

Seeing Xu Xing's puzzled expression, he introduced himself, "This Old Man's surname is Cai. I am the Supreme Elder of the Qiming Sect, the former Sect Leader. Within the Qiming Sect, my Cultivation is the highest, at the Approaching Yang Realm—a realm above the Nine Tribulations Ghost Immortal!"

Approaching Yang Realm? He hadn't expected the Qiming Sect's Supreme Elder to be at the same Cultivation realm as him. In fact, the elder's Cultivation was even slightly inferior to his own.
