Cultivating with Bragging System

Chapter 183: Opportunities Everywhere, Frantically Scavenging (6700 words)_3

The Saint Ancestor swept his gaze over them and huffed, "These Spirit Fruits are extremely precious, and I don't have many on hand. But there are plenty in the forest out there! If you want them, get on your feet and find them yourselves! If you're too late and some other brats snatch them all, then you'll have no one to blame but yourselves!"

The Holy Academy had its rules. Ultimately, its existence was to nurture talent for the major powers of the outside world. The heavenly materials and earthly treasures scattered throughout this mountain forest were almost all prepared for those prodigies. Even when they matured, they were left to continue growing and wouldn't be harvested lightly.

Only those born within the Holy Academy, who were of the appropriate age and had a chance to leave its self-contained world, were qualified to use those spiritual resources. Otherwise, it was simply a waste. Of course, even for those with an opportunity to leave, the resources they were allowed to use were limited. After all, consuming too many spiritual herbs and Spirit Fruits would eventually render them ineffective.

When the Holy Academy finally opened, every faction had to rely on its own abilities. Those who could get to their feet first and possessed greater skill would be able to obtain more resources. This was also considered a form of healthy competition. Theoretically, if someone could get up before everyone else and manage to gather all the resources, that was a display of their own skill and was permitted.

But that was only in theory. After all, even if one could get up early, collecting those resources still took time. The most outstanding prodigy could, at best, be only a day or two ahead of the others. So in reality, no one had ever managed to do such a thing.

As for the surplus spiritual herbs, including those with limited lifespans that would wither past their prime, they were all preserved using special methods. When the Holy Academy opened, they would be handed over to the prodigies from the outside world, who would take them back to bolster the foundations of their respective Sects, ensuring nothing went to waste.

Hearing the words of this Saint Manifestation-realm ancestor, the young disciples were instantly filled with motivation and began to cultivate with fiery zeal.

Just then, the ancestor suddenly sensed something and turned his head. He froze.

Seeing the ancestor's reaction, a few of the young disciples followed his gaze. They were instantly dumbfounded, completely rooted to the spot.

On a nearby hillside, a figure had appeared at some point, looking down at them.

The ancestor's brow furrowed tightly. He was certain that this young man, Wang Xiu, had not been born inside the Holy Academy. The prodigies from within and without were actually quite easy to distinguish. Aside from the difference in their auras, there was a more direct visual cue. In pursuit of grandeur and an imposing presence, prodigies from the outside world almost always wore the uniforms of their respective Sects upon entering. They were neat and uniform, a magnificent sight. Things were different inside the Holy Academy, however. There, almost everyone dressed casually.

Furthermore, this young man was so handsome he was on par with the ancestor in his youth. If such a person existed within the Holy Academy, he had no reason not to have any impression of him! After all, there weren't many people in the Holy Academy to begin with.

So that raised the question. The Holy Academy had only been open for three days. How could someone already be walking around so freely?

Such individuals weren't unheard of, but every single one of them was an unparalleled expert whose name was destined for the annals of history.

Looking at his clothes, he was a disciple of the Sanqing Immortal Sect!

Could it be that this generation of the Sanqing had produced another prodigy of such terrifying talent?

But… that can't be right. If memory serves, the Sanqing Immortal Sect's encampment is some distance from here! Even for a Cultivator, crossing that distance on foot would take a considerable amount of time!

The ancestor's mind was in turmoil. Saintly light flickered unstably around his body, and his head was full of questions.

The weather between heaven and earth shifted abruptly. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled. Countless gales swept across the surrounding green mountains, and the terrifying pressure directly pulverized several smaller hills, causing them to collapse into dust.

Wang Xiu couldn't help but feel a jolt of alarm. An expert at the Saint Manifestation realm can stir the heavens and the earth with a single thought. The reputation is truly well-deserved. Could this Saint Manifestation expert be angry just because I peeked at their training?

He quickly straightened his clothes and bowed to the figures below, offering an apology. "Junior Wang Xiu was just passing by. I was captivated by the sound of the elder's teachings and couldn't help but stop to listen. Please forgive my impertinence."

The Saint Manifestation ancestor didn't speak. He just stared at Wang Xiu, the saintly light around him pulsing as if trying to see right through him.

Wang Xiu thought for a moment, and with a flash of sword light beneath his feet, he descended into their midst.

The sight made everyone's jaws drop.

HOLY HELL!

He… he can fly!

It's only been a few days! Most of them struggled just to sit up, and those who could stand were already considered top-tier prodigies. Yet this guy could fly?

Are you a monster? Are you using some kind of cheat?

The Saint Manifestation ancestor was even more breathless. He pointed a trembling finger at Wang Xiu, unable to utter a single word for a long moment. The saintly light around him fluctuated wildly, as if his very avatar was on the verge of collapsing. The look in his eyes was one of pure shock, as if he were staring at a monster.

"You—!"

Wang Xiu quickly pulled out several fruits and stuffed them into the ancestor's hand, cutting him off. "Elder, don't be angry! Have some fruit to cool down!"

He then turned to the others, took out several dozen more fruits, and handed one to each of them with a warm smile on his face. "My sincerest apologies for interrupting your training. You've all worked hard. Here, have some fruit!"

"Please continue. I'll be on my way now…"

With that, Wang Xiu stepped onto his sword and flew away.

The crowd watched his departing back, their eyes practically glued to his figure.

"My goodness!"

"Everyone, look! The fruit he gave us is a Spirit Fruit!"

HISS. "It's real!"

This seems even better than the one the ancestor just gave us…
