Cultivating in Honkai!

For well over a year, Su watched over Shi Tian. He gradually learned the full extent of immortal cultivation.

Unlike honkai, it relies on external resources and accumulation of time. Pursuing pure immortal cultivation for ten years will not grant the power to contend against the honkai.

A great example of it is the Project Soldier developed during his time. So long as the physical body can adapt to the honkai, they will be given strength comparable to Qi Refining at minimum.

What could be done, however, is to combine honkai and immortal cultivation together. Only then would the practice speed become extremely fast.

'This feeling… It's very similar to a Herrscher's.'

Su observed the phenomenon caused by Shi Tian.

Purple Mansion Realm dabbles on world laws (dao rhymes). Herrschers possess authority over world laws.

In a sense, a Herrscher's authority is akin to the Supernatural Powers held by high-ranking cultivators.

'A power belonging to their own… If humanity is given a hundred, no, a thousand years…'

It is unimaginable what level they could reach.

Out of billions of humans, a fraction of them can possess Spirit Roots. A smaller fraction within that fraction possesses insane talents. It would not be difficult to reach the Golden Core Realm in a thousand years.

By then, humanity will become a considerable force.

Su could only sigh at this possibility.

The Honkai will never let this possibility come true. There is less than five years remaining before the Herrscher of the End descends. That came from the rate at which the honkai energy concentration increases.

The moment Earth reaches the peak of the Previous Era, that would be the time for the final confrontation.

'Master… A being who cannot intervene…'

The disturbances nearby did not affect him. He is still at the peak of Qi Refining. Su can break through the Foundation Establishment Realm at any time.

Only, Shi Tian asked him to wait until he returned. Things are different with Su's MANTIS body, heavily skewed mental power, and his severe injuries.

Fortunately, the Jing dantian is fighting for its life—or rather, for Su's life. It managed to extend his physical body's lifespan to an entire year.

It took an entire week for Shi Tian to wake up. The turbulent spiritual qi calmed down.

All sorts of lights flashed in his eyes. It briefly revealed the Dao he understood from ten Supernatural Seeds.

Shi Tian's feet stepped into the ground. He saw he was still wearing the same set of clothes from a year ago. This is what he asked Welt Yang to create. He almost experienced a generational aura debt when he got naked after a tribulation.

'Commanding honkai energy to create an outfit…'

Shi Tian received that feedback.

Aside from the surging spiritual qi in his body, there is also the dormant Herrscher Core right at his chest.

With a mentality of trying, he created an outfit inside his mind.

Honkai energy came out of nowhere. His eyes possessed a glint of white light, showing the [True Form] in effect. Controlling the honkai energy with it is as easy as child's play.

Soon, he watched as his casual outfit changed into an elegant black and blue themed hanfu. It has an inner wear akin to a white robe. The same went to the lower wear.

A white feathered robe is attached on its shoulders.

Coupled with his overgrown black hair, it turned him into a proper immortal cultivator.

'...Nope. I am not used to long hair.'

Shi Tian arranged his current looks while greeting Su.

"I'm sorry. It took a while, didn't it?"

"One week, to be precise." Su replied.

That made Shi Tian pause.

"One week… It will only be longer later, huh…"

A few seconds later, his envisioned hairstyle was finished. The hair he cut off burned before turning into nothingness.

Shi Tian's high cultivation affected both his appearance and physical age alike. Everybody would think of him as an eighteen-year-old. His appearance is enhanced to the heavens, pushing it towards the 'most optimal' state.

He walked beside Su. Shi Tian followed his gaze and saw an image of a white-haired man.

"My Master cannot intervene with Earth's predicament. I have the knowledge to take down the honkai, however."

"Isn't it about time to explain it?"

Su did not look at Shi Tian like a twelve-year-old. The latter did not play out his hidden sect roleplay. At best, he left some things unexplained. Su has too many experiences to be able to see through lies and half-truths.

Moreover, to this Myrmydon who can sacrifice his life for the future of humanity, Shi Tian respected him highly. He is more than ready to give this world a helping hand. He will stick to his choices until the very end.

"The Cocoon of Finality is looking for a companion. An equal. It is the reason for going through various civilizations. As long as this era will bring someone who can fit into the Cocoon's criteria, Earth… Humanity will be saved from the honkai."

"..."

Su fell silent.

During the past two hundred or so days, they worked on studying the complementary effects of honkai energy and spiritual qi. They cooked up a lot of theories, with some being put into practice. They tacitly agreed not to ask more personal things.

"Herrscher of Origin. Have you heard about it?"

"You know a lot of things."

Hearing Su's affirmation, Shi Tian continued to explain.

"Herrschers have a human ego, which your Previous Era did not have. This opens up another possibility. One that posits a human embracing the Cocoon. That will be humanity's way out."

Su looked at him. Never had he felt so incredulous to Shi Tian than now. The two worked together for a long period. He saw through Shi Tian's personality gradually. Su thought he learned enough about him.

Turns out…

He is just as unfathomable as their first meeting.
