Crownless Reincarnation: New World? Nah I'd win

Chapter 238: Sephrina and Inara [1]

[Vyavan Dukedom, Krivos Kingdom.]

Zia moved through the corridors of the palace while humming gently.

Her shoulder length hair fell behind her back as she looked eternal in the maid suit.

Despite her being less involved in the matters of the main house, she was in fact the head maid of the place.

She was the one who was keeping everything in check while Akamir was not around.

It wasn't made known to Akamir as she usually asked others to not inform him.

'He has grown into a really fine man.'

Zia thought as her lips curled up in a soft smile.

She was with him since he was a young bratty child.

It was safe to say she has seen him grow all his life.

The soft hum of Zia's tune followed her down the quiet marble hall.

Zia paused near a corner window, letting her gaze travel across the courtyard below.

Servants were hanging around but quickly scrambled when they saw her.

Though she wasn't even thinking about those guys.

A soft warmth touched her chest.

'He used to run through that courtyard with a wooden sword…'

She remembered the boy with stubborn eyes who had refused to stay indoors.

The same boy who now commanded soldiers as if he were born to rule.

Her smile deepened, both proud and wistful.

"He's grown into a fine man," she murmured to herself.

She let out a sigh, forcing her out of her nostalgic thoughts.

Looking at the time, her face turned serious once again as she moved towards the end of the palace.

Before she knew it she was in a room far away from any disturbance.

Zia moved inside the room before locking it from the inside.

Taking in a deep breath, she moved her hand on her index ring.

A light shone from it before a disc like object appeared on her hand.

Zia placed it on the ground before she moved back.

It beeped for a few seconds before it unfolded and turned into a receiver.

A faint blue glow spread across the room as the receiver finished unfolding.

Lines of runes pulsed to life on its surface, casting soft light over the stone walls.

Zia knelt before it and pressed her ringed finger to the center rune.

The disc gave a low hum, then a voice flickered through the magic field—distant, blurred, yet clear enough to understand.

"Zia?" A feminine voice said. "Is that you?"

"Yes, Lady Elyana, are you alright?" Zia replied, her voice filled with emotions. "You haven't been picking my call for so long."

"Things are not going great." The voice mumbled with a sigh. "How are things going there?"

"Everything is going alright." Zia replied, nodding her head. "And things have only gotten better since last time."

Elyana remained silent for a few seconds before she asked. "….How are things with my son?"

Zia immediately thought about Akamir, his smile and maturity.

"He is doing great." Zia replied after a second. "You would be proud when you see him again."

A soft breath of relief drifted through the receiver.

"…That's good," Elyana said quietly. "It eases my heart to hear it."

Zia's eyes softened. "He is still stubborn though."

A faint chuckle warmed Elyana's voice. "Stubbornness runs in the family."

Then her tone dimmed. "Not that it is a good thing."

Zia lowered her gaze.

"Always protecting him," Elyana murmured. "Just as you promised."

Silence fell for a heartbeat, broken only by the gentle pulse of the runes.

Finally Zia spoke, her words hesitant. "Lady Elyana… when will you come to see him?"

A quiet sigh came through the magic. "Soon, if fate allows. I will see him soon."

Zia let out a sigh. "He will be happy to see you."

'Well, I hope so.'

Zia wasn't really sure how Akamir would react to meeting his mother.

"Good. And Zia…" The voice softened to a mother's warmth. "Thank you. For every silent thing you do."

Before Zia could answer, the receiver gave a gentle chime.

The runes dimmed, and the disc folded itself back into the small ring that always rested on her finger.

She let out a sigh, picking it up before she returned back to her work.

'Hm?'

But when he moved in, the place was completely empty.

'Where did she—.'

Before Akamir could think it through, a hand on his shoulder made him turn.

A gentle soft lips collided with his own before he could even move.

Akamir lost himself in the kiss only for a second before he moved back.

His gaze then landed on the empress who had a mischievous smile on her face.

Akamir let out a sigh. "You really are—."

"Good to see you as well." Sephrina replied, moving towards the bed. "Your kingdom is better than I thought."

"Are you here alone?" Akamir asked, frowning. "Are you nuts—?"

"I have been in my room for almost all my life." Sephrina cut him off with a small smile. "Can't I travel alone just for a while?"

"You would be in danger if you move alone." Akamir replied, rubbing his temples. "Just don't go around without protection."

"Aye, aye, husband." She replied, gently moving back. "Not like anyone in this continent can harm me—except you of course."

Akamir didn't reply as he quietly looked at the empress.

Golden hair framed her face like sunlight caught in silk.

The emerald cloak over her shoulders contrasted sharply with the quiet eyes.

Her body had much more volume than her previous skinny self.

Akamir could not help but think. 'Why is her body made exactly like my type.'

He couldn't understand why it would happen to her.

Why would her body change just to meet his standards.

Akamir sighed as Sephrina smiled.

"Done checking me?" She asked. "I look good, right?"

Akamir let the breath he was holding slip out, slow and steady.

"You know you sound full of yourself," he said dryly.

Sephrina laughed, the sound bright and unguarded. "That wasn't a denial."

He dragged a chair from the corner and sat, leaning one elbow on the armrest.

"You've changed," he said at last. "Not just… appearance. The curse is truly gone."

Her smile softened. "It is. For the first time in years, I wake without a shadow pressing on my heart."

She stretched her arms, the motion graceful and strong. "Freedom tastes strange. Sweet, but strange."

Akamir watched her in silence, reading the quiet strength in her movements. "And you used that freedom to sneak into Krivos. Alone."

Sephrina tilted her head, eyes gleaming with teasing challenge. "Would you rather I sent an army ahead to announce me?"

He pinched the bridge of his nose. "…Elves are in no position to have another war."

She smiled as she moved. "Yeah, I know." She said. "But the same can't be said about you guys."

Akamir looked at her. "Yeah, we are at war." He groaned. "Are you going to take advantage?"

"Of course, I will." She said with a smile. "I talked with your queen before, she looks easy to deceive."

Akamir opened his mouth to refute but on more thought she wasn't wrong.

'Inara has been idolizing this woman, it's easy for her to get deceived.'

Akamir leaned back in the chair, folding his arms. "You're quick to judge," he said, voice even. "Inara isn't as simple as she looks."

Sephrina's smile turned playful. "Maybe. But admiration clouds reason. If I wished, I could twist that admiration."

A low breath slipped through his nose. "Try it, and I'll know."

Golden light flickered faintly in her eyes, not from magic but amusement. "So serious. I was teasing, husband."

Her voice softened, losing the sharp edge. "I don't want to harm her. I want to understand her. She's… interesting."

Akamir studied her, measuring every word. "You came all this way for more than curiosity."

Sephrina smiled as she slowly walked closer.

She gently straddled over him, making sure they were fully in contact.

She smiled playfully. "What do you think?"

Akamir let out another sigh, rubbing his temples. "Why are you doing this?"

"Don't you want to have sex?" Sephrina asked. "When I changed my gender I kept that thought in mind."

Akamir tilted his head in response. "…What?"

"We elves can make our body the best for our partners." She explained, kissing his cheeks. "I made my body the way you could enjoy."

Akamir was grateful for her thoughtfulness and annoyed by her behaviour.

He let out a sigh, moving his hand to feel a good squeeze of her body.

"Can you stop this for now?" He asked her with a smile. "I really don't want Inara to know more about us."

Sephrina flinched visibly before she continued to kiss him.

This time she did it even more furiously.

Akamir sighed. "Sephrina—."

"Shut up and enjoy." She mumbled in his ears. "Don't think about her right now."

Before Akamir could even say anything else she moved down before getting on her knees.

Her hands moved swiftly before she lowered his pants.

His half erect dick moved closer to her face.

Before Akamir could say anything she licked it gently, making him stop.

But...

At that moment when his guard was down—.

The door of his room quickly swung open.
