Crimson Monarch: The Rise of Muzan Kibutsuji

Chapter 2: Eyes of Revelation

After concluding his contemplation, Ethan Brook began recalling Muzan's memories.Having recently experienced them, they were still vivid in his mind.

As he delved deeper, Ethan methodically categorized Muzan's abilities:

"Since Muzan never named his powers, I'll take the honor myself. Let's hope I don't end up sounding like an edgy emo boy."

Blood Demon Art:Biokinesis

1.Body Control: Ethan can rapidly regenerate and reshape his cellular structure, allowing him to shift forms (e.g., animal or human) and adapt his body for various combat purposes..

2.Demon Creation:Ethan can create and shape demons by injecting his blood into humans, influencing their powers based on the dose.

3.Bloodline Connection:Ethan can feel the thought, emotions and senses of any demon that he has created.

(Although for him to sense somebody's thoughts and emotions he will have to be in close proximity to him).

4.Blood Hex:Ethan can create specific curses that can facilitate his control over his creations.

5.Demonic Physique:Ethan possesses immense physical and spiritual strength, enabling limitless use of all abilities with rapid stamina and spirit regeneration.

"Muzan's arsenal is quite impressive," Ethan thought. "But his Bloodline Connection and Blood Hex stand out. These grant him unparalleled control over his creations. They'll be invaluable when I begin turning people into demons."

As such Ethan decided to test the Bloodline Connection Ability.Closing his eyes, he concentrated, shutting off all his external senses. After several failed attempts, he succeeded and found himself in a dark, formless void. His physical body was absent, instead he appeared as a giant floating orb of blood, with thin, glowing bloody tendrils extending into the distance.

Curious, he followed one of the tendrils. At its end was a smaller, floating blood orb connected to the line. "This must either represent a demon's soul or act as a beacon within this dimension," he speculated.

When Ethan reached out to touch it, his consciousness merged with the demon's. He suddenly experienced the demon's senses—it was in a forest, hunting a human. Not needing to see the outcome, Ethan willed himself back, disconnecting from the scene.

After doing a lot of testing Ethan reflected on his experience:

1. He could perceive the senses of his creations but couldn't directly control their bodies.

2. The dimension could be used to track demons created by Muzan, though it would require time and effort to use the bloody tendrils as some kind of gps that shows the direction that the demon exist in the real world.

3. Moving his physical body while in this state was possible, enabling him to travel at maximum speed to the demon's location but it still carried the high risk of incineration if he is exposed to sunlight during the day so for now he will only travel at night.

Additionally Ethan discovered that Muzan's death had deactivated all active killswitches embedded in the demons. However, passive curses, such as the inability to say Muzan's name and his very amateur attempt at mind control remained intact. Ethan also realized he could reactivate the killswitch by injecting even a single drop of his blood into a demon.

Although it saddened him that all the killswitches in the demons were turned off but he was still a little bit satisfied of his exploration of his new demonic abilities and unlike the original Muzan he will use his new abilities to their full potential.

After finishing his reflection, Ethan began contemplating whether meeting the nearby demon was a wise decision.

Ethan's Thoughts:

"It's nighttime right now, which makes it an ideal time to visit the demon. Still, I can't shake the fear of making a mistake while talking to him

something that could escalate into a fight. But I can't afford to be a coward. Aside from Yoriichi, no one has ever been able to kill Muzan, so there shouldn't be any real threat to my survival.

This might also be the perfect opportunity to test how I should behave in front of other demons. Using this encounter as a practice run makes sense. Besides, I need to start spreading my influence and unifying all demons under my rule. If I'm going to establish myself as the true Demon King, I can't waste any more time hesitating."

(Three hours later)

Ethan arrived at the demon's location. He sensed its thoughts and emotions—it had just finished a meal. Making his presence known, he approached slowly.

The demon loomed tall, its ash-gray skin etched with crimson tattoos that pulsed with an eerie light. Its three eyes commanded attention: two sharp and piercing on either side of its face, while the third, closed and brooding on its forehead, radiated an ominous energy.

His hair is long, jet-black, and flows wildly, with streaks of red symbolizing the demonic blood coursing through his veins. The demon wears a tattered, kimono-like garment that resembles shifting shadows, always in motion.

Suddenly the demon turned to his durection blood stil flowing from his mouth."Who are you?" it asked.

Ethan regarded the demon with a cold, condescending gaze.

"I am your king, Muzan Kibutsuji. How dare you question me?"

His expressionless face betrayed no emotion, perfected through years of practice in his former life.

The demon's towering form faltered.

It trembled, falling to its knees.

"Forgive me, my lord," it stammered. "I… I did not recognize you, please spare me!"

A wicked sense of satisfaction washed over Ethan as he replied, "I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let this slide. But don't make the same mistake again. Understood?"

Grabbing the demon's face, he squeezed until the creature's expression contorted in pain.

"Yes, my lord! I won't make this mistake again!" it pleaded, its words slurred.

"Good. Since you understand your place, you shall be rewarded," Ethan said, his tone cold and commanding.

With deliberate precision, he elongated his finger, piercing the demon's head. A few drops of his blood flowed into the creature's body. Ethan closed his eyes, focusing intently as he experimented with the process.

After a few moments of trial and error, he succeeded in reactivating the killswitch that the original Muzan had placed. Drawing on the vivid memories he had inherited, Ethan mimicked Muzan's methods with unnerving accuracy, a smirk forming as the demon's body quivered under his control.

As Ethan was reactivating the killswitch within the demon, a fleeting thought passed through his mind: This power... is intoxicating. Muzan let it define him, but I will wield it differently. He smirked, suppressing a pang of doubt. No one could challenge him now—except, perhaps, himself."

Suddenly the demon's agonized face twisted into one of ecstasy as the blood took effect.

Reflecting on himself Ethan stood over the demon, considering his plans. The amateur curses Muzan had left in place, though flawed, could still serve as tools for control. Reclaiming and reorganizing Muzan's fragmented army would take time, but Ethan was confident. After all, he was no longer just Ethan Brook—he was the new Muzan Kibutsuji.

Ethan Brook:"Since you are subservient to me, I will allow you to follow me. Our mission is to track down our fellow demons and gather their strength. I am orchestrating something... magnificent."

Three-Eyed Demon:"Thank you, my lord, for this opportunity. I vow to be your most loyal servant."

Ethan Brook:"Have you mastered a Blood Demon Art, servant?"

Three-Eyed Demon:"Yes, my lord".

Ethan Brook:Good explain it to me servant".

Three-Eyed Demon: "My lord, my Blood Demon Art is called Eye of Revelation or Keiji no Me.

1. Enhanced Vision: When my third eye opens, I gain the ability to see through any object within my field of vision, including walls and even inside bodies. This allows me to sense a target's life force, intentions, and even the smallest changes in their breathing.

2.Aura Mapping: I can create an *aura map* that provides a detailed overview of the battlefield, making it nearly impossible for enemies to surprise us.

In addition to these main abilities, I also possess several others albeit minor powers:

3.Piercing Gaze:I can fire concentrated beams of demonic energy from my third eye. While these beams are powerful enough to slice through almost anything, they are relatively slow.

4.Hypnotic Sight:Prolonged eye contact with my third eye can paralyze or disorient opponents, trapping them in an endless, nightmarish vision of their own demise.

5. Enhanced Combat Skills:I am an accomplished fighter, my foresight allowing me to anticipate enemy movements and combine it with rapid, calculated strikes.

The demon paused, waiting for his master's reaction, his third eye faintly glowing as if eager to demonstrate its power.

Ethan Brook:"Interesting your abilities remind me of something what's your name demon?"

Three-Eyed Demon:"I am called Kyogan, my lord It means Mad Eye."

Ethan:

"Ah… I remember now," I say as flashes of memories flood my mind.

Kyogan was once a gifted human physician during the early Heian period, revered for his unparalleled mastery of anatomy and surgery. His fascination with the workings of the human body drove him to great lengths. He began by dissecting cadavers to deepen his understanding, but his curiosity soon took a sinister turn. Consumed by an insatiable desire to unlock the secrets of life and death, Kyogan began experimenting on living subjects.

His horrifying acts eventually caught the attention of the original Muzan Kibutsuji. Seeing immense potential in Kyogan's knowledge, Muzan offered him eternal life in exchange for his servitude. Kyogan accepted without hesitation, believing that becoming a demon would allow him to transcend human limitations and reach true perfection.

Upon his transformation after living with Muzan for a while Kyogan awakened his Blood Demon Art: *Eye of Revelation*. This unique power enabled him to "see" the inner workings of living beings—muscles, bones, and even spiritual energy. The third eye on his forehead gave him access to a demonic version of the *Transparent World*, allowing him to predict movements, uncover hidden enemies, and identify weaknesses with terrifying precision.

However, Kyogan's ambition to master life and death became his undoing. Muzan, seeing Kyogan's hunger for power as a potential threat, struck him down mercilessly. Beaten within an inch of his life, Kyogan was cast aside like trash, left to languish in the shadows.

Since then, Kyogan has hidden away in the forests, his once-grand ambitions tempered by the trauma of his near-death at Muzan's hands. While he continues to dream of mastering his abilities, fear of his former master has left him a shadow of his former self.

Ethan's Thoughts:

His situation is very interesting his ambitions, his abilities, his fear of me he will be a perfect scientist for me but first i will have to plant an extreme amount of blood hexes on him i don't want another situation like Tamayo to happen also this can be a good opportunity to get some experience with using my blood hex ability.

Ethan Brook talked to Kyogan with a menacing gaze, his tone cold and commanding.

"I am granting you a second chance at redemption, but only if you serve me with unwavering loyalty and devotion. Your past thoughts and transgressions will be forgiven, but make no mistake—I am the master in this relationship, and you are the servant. Do I make myself clear?"

Kyogan:"Yes my lord your word will be my creed."

Ethan Brook:"Good. Now rise, Kyogan. Your redemption begins today. Your task is to aid me in building an Empire for me.Together, we will forge a demon empire—one where failure is not an option."

Ethan's crimson eyes glowed with an ominous light as he extended his hand. Kyogan hesitated for a moment, his third eye trembling as if it could sense the overwhelming power and ambition radiating from Ethan. Slowly, he reached out, clasping Ethan's hand.

Kyogan:"I swear, my lord. My knowledge, my abilities, my very existence—I dedicate them all to you."

Ethan smirked. "Good. Your loyalty will not go unrewarded. Now, let us begin. There is much to do, and many demons to bring under my rule."

As the night deepened, the pair vanished into the shadows of the forest. Ethan's mind swirled with plans—new blood hexes, experiments, and strategies to surpass Muzan's legacy.

With Kyogan as his first servant and countless demons yet to kneel, Ethan's vision of an empire began to take shape. The dawn of a new demon king had arrived—one far more ruthless and ambitious than Muzan ever was."
