CRIMSON GUARD

The kind of state the environment was in said everything about the intensity of the battle that was going on at the moment. There were craters all over the place and within these craters laid the bodies of beasts of all kind, shapes and sizes.

These craters weren't the only things that signaled something bad was going on at the moment. Large chunks of trees were everywhere within the battlefield since most of the beasts who felt that they needed to hide decided to do so behind these tall trees.

Though the trees had no idea of what was going on, they had been forced into this kind of situation. Their stems had been used as spears by these behemoths while their roots were also used as whips to deal damage.

Some of the plants still had their roots moving even though their stems had been uprooted from them. Such a scene spoke volumes about how this place could not be related to planet earth.

Screech!

The sound once again tore through the night sky as the two shadowy figures clashed against each other at an unimaginable speed.

Klang!

Klang!

Metal clashed against metal and a set of noisy sounds were released into the environment. This situation continued for a while with the two figures trying desperately to push each other back.

Harry gulped instinctively while holding on to Mina who was still lost in her mixed emotions. "Hey can you stop grabbing me by the bottom", she finally spouted out with a reddish glow all over her cheeks.

Harry hadn't noticed it at first but after coming to a halt in front of this mess had made him felt a little bit awkward. He knew that Mina's body was soft to touch but this kind of softness wasn't something he had ever experienced before.

His thoughts had been suddenly interrupted by the sound of two metals hitting each other at an incredible speed. The excitement he had in his heart before reaching this place was now on a whole new level as he stood still while observing everything from a distance away.

'Sorry', he had said while trying his best to take his hands away from the area he was holding. Though it was done out of goodwill, Harry had forgotten that since he had left her body her whole weight was now going to drag him down to the ground.

Arrkk!

The sound escaped his throat when Mina's grip around his neck had tightened all of a sudden. This had caused him to fall to the ground while holding his neck and trying his best to catch his breath.

Without his notice though he had also committed another unforgivable crime. His head had sunk deep into the two mountains on Mina's chest due to the scuffle.

"Huh, what is wrong with you!", she screamed out loud while trying her best to push Harry's head away. Harry had noticed this red flag right away and was trying his best to also leave her grip. Her hand was tightly holding on to his hair to the extent that the color of Harry's face was slowly starting to change due to the kind of pain he was going through at the moment.

He had wanted to speak out and tell her that his head was hurting as a result of how hard she was pulling his hair. Without knowing what to do he had yanked Mina away from his body immediately in an attempt to save his hair.

Thud!

The sound went out a bit far away before slowly diminishing into nothing. Mina Rodriguez had landed right on her bottom. At this time though, the other members of the group had immediately caught up to them and had experienced the final moments of the situation.

The shady looking guy rushed towards Mina Rodriguez after noticing that she was in pain due to both the impact of her both the falls she had experienced today. He quickly placed her head in his chest while slowly cuddling her body to help calm the pain shooting out through her body.

Harry who had also moved back a couple of inches away from the place had immediately sighed in relief while holding his hair to check if there were any sign of blood on them.

Bang!

Before he could realize what was going on though, a powerful punch had went right through his blind spot, hitting him in the stomach and sending him tumbling over the corpses of the beasts.

Arghhhh!

Harry screamed in pain while holding his stomach and grunting in pain. He rocked his body from side to side as the pain traveled all over his body.

"That's what you get for attacking the squad leader! I thought you loved her for real but no, you only needed her to satisfy your ungodly pleasures. You are a monster and you don't deserve to live!", Frank shouted while picking up a sword from the ground and hurling it towards Harry who was still whining in pain.

Chuck!

Argggh!

The sound came out from inside the crater where Harry had fallen. The sword had done what it had been intended for and had immediately pierced through Harry's skin, causing him to flinch as blood oozed out of both the fresh wound created by the sword and his mouth.

Fwoosh!

Harry's cry had echoed from within the crater and had reverberated throughout the place. A sound was heard after Harry's cry and all the others had turned their heads to the side to check who it was that was making such a sound.

Their instincts told them to run immediately after they eyes had locked on to those of the approaching danger. "Is that an ant?", Stellar asked with a frightened expression on her face.

"Frank picked up another sword from the ground and readied himself to fight the approaching monster. The ant had immediately identified the threat and was ready to eliminate it with all of its might.

"I must eliminate them all!", a deep but ominous tone was what the ant-like monster had spoken with. It unsheathed a sword around its waist and started to fly on in circles. The sheer level of speed it was flexing had caused a small tornado to appear around its body.

Frank raised up his sword to block the incoming attack from the ant but to his surprise the sword in his hand had broken due to the sheer power behind the ant's attack. He closed his eyes to finally think about how he had ended up in such an unimaginable situation.

Thud!

Before he could think about anything though, his head had fallen to the ground with blood gushing out of the fresh cut and adding a new color to the battlefield.

Stellar who was far away from his brother hadn't been able to see what had happened because of how weak she was. All she could now see was the bloodied body of his brother which was losing a head at moment.

Chop!

Chop!

Turning to the side, she had noticed the golden ant munching away on her brother's head. Seeing this had aroused an emotion of hatred towards Harry. She thought Harry was the one who had called this monster to kill his brother.

Instead of going after Harry though, she had quickly moved towards Mina who was still been cuddled by the shady guy.

Bang!

The sound came out when her fist had landed at the back of Mina's head. The strength behind the attack had left Mina unconscious at the moment.

The shady looking guy had noticed what had happened and was ready to go on with his evil plan. He laughed uncontrollably while getting up and moving towards Stellar who was searching for a weapon to kill Mina with.

She had mixed emotions running through her head and wasn't even sure of what she was doing at the moment. Her face blossomed with a smile when her eyes had found an axe from a dead ant's body within the battlefield.

She slowly moved towards Mina Rodriguez's unconscious body with her head facing the ground. Upon reaching the body, she lifted her hand into the air with her grip tightening around the war axe.

However, before the axe could assume the height she had wanted away from the ground, she could feel two hands grabbing her breasts from the back. "Do you know how many days it has been since my wife left me?", the shady guy shouted out loud with a diabolical grin on his face.
