Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 548: What is Dead, Pablo Buries Again

Pablo cut the tail of the dragon king.

The dragon king was using the same technique he used with the demon king.

He constantly vanished and appeared behind Pablo and Pablo returned the same thing.

They did this to the point where it became a loop.

When Pablo would raise Colt to hit the dragon, the dragon would disappear and appear behind Pablo.

Then the dragon would raise Widow to hit Pablo, but Pablo would then vanish and appear behind the dragon King.

This happened for a while and when Pablo vanished and appeared behind El'Dorado, the dragon king finally made his move.

He used his tail to do the same thing he did with Dravakos.

He was going to wrap Pablo with his tail and cut off his head.

Because for the dragon king, no one pays attention to his tail.

But Pablo wasn't no one.

Pablo Castillo was a man who recognised patterns. And how their fight was going on, Pablo saw the dragon's plan miles away.

So before El'Dorado could wrap his tail around Pablo, the man swung Colt and cut off the tail altogether.

The dragon king's eyes bulged as he jerked around.

If glares could kill, Pablo would be minced meat.

But Pablo wasn't afraid of the glare as after cutting the tail he was confident about defeating the dragon.

"Don't rejoice, Human. I will grow it again. This is only my tail, not my head." El'Dorado said.

Pablo smiled. "You sure about that?"

The dragon king frowned. He didn't understand if Pablo was being annoying just to anger him or was there some truth in his words.

He would only find it after doing it.

So the dragon king wasted no time and regenerated his tail.

He tried, at least.

Because nothing happened.

The tail didn't grow back.

The dragon king had nothing on his back anymore.

The tail Pablo had cut stayed lying on the Crucible and the dragon king couldn't regenerate a new one.

He gritted his teeth and tried again.

Nothing happened.

He tried again.

Nothing happened.

After more than twenty tries, the dragon king glared at Pablo with the rage of a thousand dragons.

"What did you do!? Why can't I grow it back?!" He roared.

The soldiers standing on the Crucible trembled with the anger of the Being but Pablo remained smiling.

He said nothing but he did showed Colt to the dragon king.

El'Dorado looked at the sword and he was about to demand a straight answer again when his brain clicked.

Colt was currently glowing white ever since Pablo became the God of the Angels and he had used this same Colt to cut off the dragon king's tail.

So could it be…

"Is it because of your sword? It stopped my magic?"

Pablo's smile turned wide. "Good work. You are smarter than you look."

"How is that possible!?"

"What do you mean? It is possible. Anyone can be smarter than they look. You are one of them too."

The dragon clenched his jaw. "I don't mean that! I mean how can you stop my magic?!"

Pablo sighed. "Your magic? Tell me this, dragon. Who do you think introduced magic in this world in the first place?"

El'Dorado quivered his brows. "Who? How the hell would I know that? My father taught me magic, and my grandfather taught magic to my father. It was the dragons who created the magic if I have to answer."

Pablo nodded a few times. "That might be right. But do you know who created the dragons? How did the first dragon come into this world?"

The dragon king thought for a while but in the end, he clutched his head. "I don't care. Just tell me what you're getting at!?"

Pablo's smile vanished.

"It was the Gods."

The dragon king clenched his fists. "There is no God! I am the only one!"

Pablo shook his head. "You asked me why your magic didn't work?"

The dragon king stayed silent and Pablo answered:

"Because the Gods were there when the magic was born."

The dragon king's brows shot up.

The soldiers standing on the Crucible didn't know what kind of face they should make as they had no idea what Pablo and El'Dorado were talking about.

Nevertheless, they kept watching them as they only wanted to see the death of the dragon king and if they saw that Pablo needed some help, they would jump in to help him. Pablo was their only hope against the dragon king after all.

The dragon king stayed silent after hearing Pablo's revelation and Pablo wasn't done yet.

"You ask why your magic didn't work after my attack? It's simply because, right now…"

Pablo jerked Colt as a streak of white light shot out of it.

"I am the creator of magic."

The dragon king flinched as he saw death and Gods in Pablo's eyes.

But the only Being in the sky was him. There was no God. He was God. Only he was the divine being in the whole world.

He can't accept it. He can't accept that the magic and the strength he had since his birth was because some Gods created his race and magic. He would kill them all. He would kill the Gods, Humans, Vampires and become the sole Being, the sole ruler of the whole world!

"I won't believe it, Human. I have already come from the dead. I can do anything now. If I can even cheat death, then I can cheat all those golden beings high in the sky."

Pablo let out a tired sigh.

"I know you will say something like this. Your pride will be the only reason for your downfall. You will die again, El'Dorado."

The dragon king spread his arms. "What is dead may never die."

Pablo shrugged and tilted his head, looking behind the dragon king.

The thousands of Angels were floating there and Pablo said some things to them through his mind and the angels nodded.

After that, Pablo focused on the dragon king again.

The dragon king also saw Pablo looking at the Angels so he looked over his shoulder to see what the angels were doing behind him.

But when he looked, he frowned.

The Angels weren't there anymore.

He looked around and after a few seconds, his frown deepened.

The thousands of Angels had vanished in thin air.
