Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 523: When Kings Refuse Crowns

Malvador had summoned a Demon.

And not just any Demon.

He summoned the Demon King.

Everyone was tense like they should.

The Demon King had asked why Malvador summoned him and Malvador told him that he wanted victory in the War.

The Demon King then asked what he would get in return.

Usually, no demons ask this. They just get summoned and do the work their summoner told them to.

But since it was the Demon King, Malvador believed that such conditions won't apply to him.

So Malvador promised the Being all the kingdoms of Seraphim but to the Vampire King's surprise, the Demon King didn't accept that.

The Demon King, Dravakos, could take all the kingdoms himself without any need of promise from Malvador. He needed something else to agree to do the bidding of the Vampire.

Pablo knew this would happen as Malvador raced his mind to think of something that could entice Dravakos.

During that time, Pablo was using his own mind and he had decided something as well.

But before using what he decided, he had to take care of some things.

First, he spoke through his mind and Andrezj heard him.

He told Andrezj to make Sera go inside Draxus' shadow.

Andrezj relayed that to her dearest and since Pablo had said it, Sera agreed and went inside Draxus' shadow. Pablo needed her luck. She can't die yet.

After Sera, he asked Andrezj to relay the same message to Hena, the elf girl as well.

Pablo could only talk with Cupid and Andrezj through his mind but since Andrezj was an Angel, he could talk with anyone through his mind.

So Andrezj did just that and Hena went inside Draxus' shadow as well. She had an useful Ego and Pablo figured it would come in help during the upcoming fight.

Then, Pablo told Andrezj that Draxus should also go inside his shadow and move his shadow to Jaun Elia, the writer.

Jaun Elia shouldn't die as if he died, there would be no one left to write about the War. Now that the Demon King had come into play, Jaun Elia's writing was needed. It should tell clearly what happened in the war.

Andrezj relayed the message to Draxus and Draxus obliged.

Of course, the Demon saw everything happening.

His one side of the body was solely eyes after all.

But for some reason, Dravakos ignored it and let Draxus do whatever he wanted.

Also, Hena and Draxus didn't question when an unknown voice of Andrezj, whom they had never heard suddenly spoke inside their minds. They believed it was something special that Pablo had and even if not, then this was not the time to ask about it.

Draxus' shadow moved towards Jaun Elia and it sucked the writer inside it.

Jaun Elia had been ruled over by goosebumps seeing the Demon king and he found himself the luckiest man alive as he saw things he never could have believed he would see in his whole life. His story was becoming more and more epic by every passing second.

Fortunately, everything could be seen from inside Draxus' shadow so Sera and Hena didn't face any kind of problem watching the ongoing war. Also, Jaun Elia had a screen with him so even if nothing was visible from Draxus' shadow, the writer would have managed.

After doing all that, Draxus came out of his shadow and stood at Pablo's right side.

And all of this was happening while Pablo and his soldiers took slow back steps. They were walking towards the end of the Crucible, their intention was to stick to the border of the battlefield.

He didn't let the eight Egoless go inside Draxus' shadow as Pablo couldn't care anymore. The eight slaves were on their own now. He would not abandon them but he would also not jump in to save them if the Demon King went on to kill them. He won't save anyone. He would only focus on himself. Even if he stayed the only man alive from Forza.

There were only some hundred tired soldiers left, that included Nike and Draxus as well.

The eight Egoless slaves won't be of any use as no wits would help them defeat the Demon King.

It was only Harlia and Pablo who could do something. Also, Andrezj also looked like he would fight.

There was also the army of the Elves, if they and the Demon king attacked at the same time, it would be too much pain and nearly impossible to win the War. In addition to that, Malvador had yet to fight seriously. The Vampire hadn't gone all out yet. He hadn't even used his Ego since the start of the War. He only killed the soldiers of Forza.

All in all, no matter how Pablo sees it, he was at a disadvantage.

The Demon King, Malvador, the millions Elves, Pablo and his handful of soldiers had to face such odds and if the Forza kingdom managed to win the war from here, then this feat would be written with golden and capital letters.

Nevertheless, Pablo had something in mind and he would use it as soon as everyone reached the border of the Crucible.

They constantly took back steps and they had increased their speed of moving as Pablo noticed that the Demon king was taking in the surroundings of the Crucible. He saw Pablo and the soldiers moving back but he did nothing.

He thinks we are insects. He can squash us whenever he wants. So it makes no difference to him whether we move back or forward.

Pablo understood the thought process of the Demon King and he hated it but he was right. The Demon King could surely squash them like insects.

So, Pablo decided to increase his speed of moving backwards and it worked as the Demon King showed no problem with that.

Therefore, like that, Pablo and all of his soldiers reached the very end of the Crucible while Malvador only thought about what to give to the Demon King.

However, before Malvador, Pablo had decided what to give to Dravakos. And not only to Dravakos, he would also give that to the whole Elven army.

So, without wasting any time…

Pablo gave it.
