Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 521: Not Human. Not Mortal. Not Defiable.

The red light ended.

The symbols, the ritual was no more.

But the Crucible was rumbling.

Malvador was in the air. The Elven army was in front of Pablo's and his army. They were outnumbered from millions.

The soldiers of Forza were facing difficulties to stay on their feet under the rumbling Crucible.

Pablo, like the Commander he was, gave the soldiers enough strength and will to fight for a little more and the soldiers listened as well. They had already suffered enough, they won't make it meaningless by dying. They shall make their suffering count.

After a few more minutes, they didn't have to hold their ground anymore, because the Crucible finally stopped rumbling.

But what replaced it happened to be something more eerie—Silence.

Malvador landed back on the ground and he, along with all the Elves joined their palms and moved their lips.

Even Pablo's ears couldn't pick any sound from their mouths and what remained was silence. Pin drop, head drop, tear drop silence.

Silence never screamed so loud for Pablo and the man was forced to say something.

But before he could say it…

BURST!

The Crucible Bursted.

The Crucible found a hole in the middle of its chest and ashes flew around.

It created a smoke screen and Pablo's Colt broke all the bounds of vibrations.

The smoke screen from the ashes didn't matter as what made the Crucible burst happened to be hovering in the sky.

All heads went there and when they saw, Pablo figured Colt wasn't vibrating for all this time. It was shivering.

Each and every one present on the Crucible felt chills and the people watching from their screens couldn't believe what was in front of their eyes.

The Elves and Malvador had unjoined their palms and all of them turned around to face the being that hovered in the air behind them.

Cupid forgot she had a tongue and Andrezj had come in front of Sera.

Harlia had forgotten about her revenge with Malvador at the moment as she too knew what was important right now.

Meanwhile, Pablo. He figured what Andrezj meant when he told Pablo that he had done it once, he had to do it again.

What happened was, in front of them, in the air, looking down on everyone was none other than, for sure…

A Demon.

Pablo had seen a Demon before, heck he had killed one as well. But, he had never seen anything like the one he was seeing right now.

He had never seen anyone divided with equal senses. Meaning, the demon in the sky, his right side of the body was covered solely with eyes and his left side was covered solely with ears.

Each eye was moving in all directions as if watching over the whole world and beyond.

Each ear pricked over the smallest of the sounds.

Two black huge wings danced behind Demon's back as if they were his flags.

Two horns adorned on his head like a crown made only for a ruthless king.

A tail slithered in the air, swaying like the lightest of the whips.

The Demon had no skin, the only skin he had was on his tail and his face.

And his face might be the most normal part of his whole self.

It had two golden eyes and a black third vertical eye in the center of his forehead, his lips were thick and black, for his nose—he only had two tiny holes and that was it. That was the most normal thing in his whole fucking body.

And Pablo would have stopped judging him if not for the Demon licking his lips. While he did that, Pablo got to see the Demon's red tongue and it looked akin to a lizard's. Thin from the front, in pointed shape, and thick from the end.

Seeing all that, Pablo and everyone else figured out one thing.

This creature was not an ordinary demon.

So the ritual was a ritual to summon a Demon. When did he make the preparations for this? Was this his plan from the start? And this is really a surprise. I thought the dragon king would come but something else came entirely. The corpses, the hearts, all of that was a sacrifice. I get it. You played well, Malvador.

Pablo turned serious, he was serious since the ground had started rumbling but now he was more serious than ever. Now he needed all the wits he could muster. One mistake and he would lose his life.

The Demon hovered with his arms crossed in front of his chest and roamed his eyes around the Crucible.

His gaze stopped at Andrezj and Cupid for a second and he spared them only that much time.

Cupid was frozen on her spot, she wasn't even writing in her diary anymore.

Andrezj only kept his eyes on the Demon while hiding Sera completely from the Demon's eyes—which was useless because with all those eyes, the Demon could see a man hiding behind a mountain.

No one spoke anything and the Demon looked at the Elves standing below him.

His eyes went to Malvador and the Vampire King didn't dare to look in the Demon's eyes. He only stared at the Demon's chest.

Seeing that, Pablo remembered his first encounter with the Demon as he also wasn't able to stare in the Demon's eyes.

The Demon gawked at Malvador for a few seconds and soon, his lips parted.

"Who summoned me?"

Chains rattled as the wind flew from nowhere. That was the effect of the Demon's voice. His voice was enough to kill people.

Malvador didn't dare to make the Demon wait as he answered right away.

"It was me, sire." He said.

"Do you know whom you summoned?" The Demon asked, his voice acting like a boot on everyone's throats.

Malvador bowed. "Yes. I know, sire."

"State who you summoned, Vampire." The Demon commanded.

Malvador gulped and along with him everyone else did the same.

All of them also wanted to know who was summoned as in one first glance, they could tell that the Demon hovering in the air wasn't just another Demon.

And when Malvador answered the Being, everyone's thoughts came true.

"You are the King of the Demons, sire."
