Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 487: The Sword That Drinks Blood

Pablo killed three Vampires of Malvador.

Malvador clapped at Pablo for that.

But then Malvador asked Pablo to see what he could do.

Just like Pablo had killed three Vampires by throwing his sword, Malvador decided to do the same.

He raised his red thick sword and in return for the three Vampire soldiers, Malvador chose a High Duke as his target.

The High Duke was confident in himself so he didn't back down even after Pablo warned him.

Malvador liked the confidence of the man and threw his sword at him.

The High Duke didn't dodge like a coward but instead, before the sword could injure him, the man stopped the sword with his right bare hand.

But Pablo knew that won't be it. There must be something more to come. It couldn't be this easy. The man who threw the sword wasn't just anyone. He had killed the King of the Vampires and had the guts to challenge Pablo. His attack couldn't be stopped like that.

And as if Pablo's words were heard by the Gods, something indeed happened.

The red sword held by the High Duke glowed crimson and in front of everyone's eyes…

The High Duke became a husk.

In an instant, the High Duke fell on the ground, his burly body became like a twig and the red sword went back to Malvador.

Pablo kept his eyes on the vampire king and saw that the crimson glow of the sword went inside Malvador's mouth.

He then jerked his head at the barely alive High Duke.

"You… you.. were right, Commander. I should have dodged."

After saying that, the High Duke died. Those were his last words.

Everyone who saw that had their mouths agape and Pablo couldn't have that. The soldiers shouldn't be scared.

"His sword sucks blood, everyone. It sucks blood down to the last drop and transfers it to him, making him stronger or healthier. It's better if none of you engage with him. If you want to be a Hero, then try to kill as many soldiers as you can. Just don't engage with him. Got that?"

"Yes. He is yours. I don't want to die like that. In return of your three vampire soldier kills, he killed one High Duke. And he didn't even kill him. Only his sword did the work. I can't even imagine what he himself could do. Just finish him before he does more damage, czar." Draxus replied and he made sure to state it clearly that Malvador wasn't someone anyone could fight.

But of course, there were less people like Draxus.

"I don't give a fuck, Pablo. After I am done with the Cannibal King, I am going at him." Harlia was one such example.

"As you wish." Pablo could only say this to her. He couldn't change her mind. Malvador had hurt her pride. She would either die but not let the vampire king go.

But apart from her, other soldiers had understood so they ignored Malvador and only focused on enemy soldiers.

Also, Pablo had told Draxus to keep an eye on Fozier, the first Marshal and it seemed the man was doing something because Draxus' voice fell on Pablo's left ear.

Pablo and Draxus were the only people in the Crucible who were wearing two earpieces. One in each ear.

With the one in their right ear, they could talk with each and every soldier of Forza Kingdom and the one in their left ear, allowed them to talk with each other only.

Draxus turned off the earpiece of his right ear so that others couldn't hear his next words.

"Czar, Fozier is going towards Malvador. And I don't like his intentions. He is going to fight him. What do you want me to do?"

Pablo let out a tired sigh. He was still walking towards Malvador and the latter was doing the same.

Just like Draxus, Pablo also turned off the earpiece on his right ear and replied, "You can't do anything. You will be called a traitor if you try to stop him. And he might be stronger than you. There is only one thing you can do right now."

"What?" Draxus asked.

Pablo replied right away. "Nothing."

"Then why did you ask me to keep an eye on him?"

"I had a hunch that Fozier will try to prove himself that he is not weak. That he deserves to be the Commander. Not me. He thinks he will kill Malvador, the admiral will then praise him and then he can reach new heights. I asked you to keep an eye on him because I wanted to know if my hunch was right or not. And turns out, it was right."

"So you just wanted to know if your hunch was right or not? You just wanted to know if your brain worked right or not? You are something else, Czar."

"Don't complain. I take some pride in my brain. I constantly seek results of my guesses and when they come true, my confidence rises. You won't get it."

Draxus sighed. "Anyway, so you don't want me to stop him? What if he dies? Someone like Fozier can kill many soldiers easily. He shouldn't just go for the king and die. That would be too bad of a loss."

"There is nothing we can do. Even if I stop him from attacking Malvador, the man won't listen. It's no use. And we can't talk like this for too long. My right ear piece is off and if some important information comes, I will miss it and that would really be too bad of a loss. If Fozier wins then it'd be better anyway. And if he dies… I don't need someone who can't follow orders under me."

"Alright. Good luck, czar. I want to see what happens when you let loose."

Pablo smiled. "Stay alive till then. If you are lucky and unlucky at the same time, you might see it."

"Haha. I hope so."

Draxus stopped talking and turned on his right ear piece.

Pablo did the same.

They both didn't turn off their left earpiece as that wasn't that much important to do.

But as soon as Pablo turned on the right earpiece, he heard what Draxus already told him. But this time, he also saw it.

One man jumped in front of Malvador and at the same time, everyone heard…

"I am Fozier, the first Marshal. But right now, I am the death of Malvador Nocturne."
