Chapter 462: One Scratch, Endless Death
Only three hundred men were left on the battlefield.
Hundred Humans, hundred Elves and hundred Vampires.
And from the dragons' side, only fifty soldiers were left and their one king.
The dragon only had seventy five soldiers anyway. The three armies were able to kill only twenty five dragons.
Pablo didn't know if it was all the dragons in the world at that time because a total of just seventy five dragons in the whole world sounded less.
Anyway, these fifty dragon soldiers and three hundred men dashed towards each other for one final fight.
It had been thirteen hours since the war had started and the war was finally on its last breaths.
Therefore, both the men and dragons met at the center of the battlefield again and Cupid continued the story.
"The fight was fierce. The men were possessed with rage and pride. Their masculinity and Ego were on the top as they had stopped feeling pain. Their Egoes were all black ranked so they had the power to fight the dragons and they did.
The fifty dragon soldiers and three hundred men fought for ten hours straight. The dragons breathed fire on the men and the men were safe from the fire because they had an Ego that kept them safe from it. But apart from being safe from fire, they were drenched in blood from head to toe and after one more hour, the fight finally ended.
And I said their fight ended. Not the war. What I mean is, after eleven hours of fighting, all the fifty dragon soldiers were dead and out of three hundred men only fifteen remained. Five Humans, five Elves and five Vampires.
These fifteen men had wounds all over their bodies. Some were missing an eye, some lost their hands, but all fifteen of them had their legs and one target in front of them—El'Dorado, The Black Scaled Dragon King.
The Dragon King applauded these fifteen men and called them towards him to end the war. The fifteen men were too far gone to return so they only moved forward.
They ran towards the Dragon king and the king flew towards them. The king didn't spew fire on the men as he knew the fire does nothing to them. But even without fire, the dragon king was way stronger than those men.
But there was one thing that the men and the dragon king didn't know. The Gods were watching the war closely."
Pablo said nothing and Cupid, after a breath, continued.
"The Gods saw the destruction of two races—Orcs and Ogres—in front of their eyes but they couldn't stop it as they were not supposed to appear in front of their own creations. The world they created with so much love, one part of it was covered with nothing but corpses. Blood, cries, spirits, ghosts were squirming around the battlefield and yet, they couldn't do anything to stop it.
Nevertheless, they made a decision that if things go out of hand, they would jump in and stop everything. So they waited.
In the battlefield, the battle between the fifteen men and the Dragon king was at its peak and I haven't told you about the personality of El'Dorado yet.
The dragon king was a prideful being. He thought of himself as the one above everyone. He was the superior of all the dragons and he had killed his own parents because they compared him with a General of his army. He was a dangerous being and he embodied his pride with grace. He believed that he was letting everyone else live on the same planet as him because he was benevolent. Otherwise, for him, no one deserved to live in the same land as him.
That's why when his children were killed, he found the chance to wage war against everyone and this way he would wipe out everything and everyone other than himself. He would only leave some people alive because, well, if he killed everyone who would he rule over?
So such a being was fighting the fifteen men and he was killing them as well. He was winning. He wasn't flying in the sky while fighting them. He was on the ground and he wasn't even using his full power. He had yet to use his Black ranked Ego.
But the men surely used their Ego and when, out of fifteen, only six men were left, one Human managed to strike the dragon and he did something that no one ever managed to do to the Dragon king.
That human… He made the Dragon King bleed."
Pablo nodded and urged the Angel to keep speaking.
Cupid took ten seconds to relax and carried on the story.
"When the King saw his blood on his face, even if it was a scratch, he went berserk. That little scratch wasn't just on the face of the Dragon king, that scratch was on his pride. How dare a Human make him bleed? He can handle anything but not a blow to his soul. That's why, just after that scratch, the dragon forgot everything and saw only one thing… Destruction.
He broke all restraints and with no remorse, he finally used his Ego.
I don't know what his Ego was as only the Gods know about it but as soon as he used his Ego, all six men died the most gruesome death possible. How was their death gruesome? No one knows. But their death was definitely gruesome. Because not even a single strand of their hair was found.
After killing the men, the Dragon king still didn't feel better and he began spewing fire all around the battlefield. The sand turned to mirrors, the land became hell. The corpses burned and the insects and any living organism deep inside the ground died by the sheer amount of heat El'Dorado's fire generated.
The smoke and fire was so large that it reached the nearby forests and in just fifteen seconds, it spread to the kingdoms that were way far from the battlefield.
The Dragon King had become a rogue, a mad man just by a scratch made by a Human and to purge his anger, he flew towards the settlements where Humans resided. The scratch was made by a human and he decided…"
Cupid gulped.
"To eradicate all the Humans from existence itself."
