Chapter 412: It's Fun
"You are making them do this so that they don't become like you? Shouldn't they be like you now that a war is going to happen?" Cupid asked, using a hundred percent of her brain.
Pablo shook his head. 'Yes. They should become like me but not totally like me. I had hired people to help me to assassinate presidents and do other shit, and after my work was over, I killed those people too. They were all messed up in the head like me but I was worse. They had started taking me and the other group members as family, they were criminals like me but they had a heart. But they died in the end either way.'
"Why did you kill them?"
Pablo sighed. 'I was afraid they would betray me so I did it first. I killed them before they could kill me.'
"It was all in your head. People see others the way they are themselves. You were in the wrong and I am not afraid to say it."
Pablo scoffed. 'That's why I am making sure these soldiers get to know each other and don't think about killing one of their own. This training is only for that.'
"So you know that whatever you did with your team on Earth was wrong, that's why you are training these people to not do the same mistake as you. I get it."
'No. I don't think killing my team was wrong. They would have died one way or another. I mean, I died too, didn't I? I just got to live longer than them. I am just training these people to not become like me because the circumstances are different from Earth. If they don't have a good bonding with each other they would die in Hollow.'
"So you won't accept that killing your teammates was wrong?"
'Shut up.'
Cupid's time was up.
Pablo only allotted her five minutes.
The female angel sighed and stopped talking.
She remained floating beside Pablo, watching the soldiers going at it.
Mostly, she looked at the eight slaves and the girls as they were someone who were the most foreign to fighting like this.
Hena was with Bush and both slaves were trying their best to move their bodies.
Bush didn't have an Ego yet but he had a brain and he used it to take advantage of Hena's weaknesses, which were too many.
The elf girl knew nothing about combat and all she was doing was swinging her sword which, if Pablo remembered correctly, was called Gladius. It was sixty to eighty-five centimeters long and twenty-four to thirty-three inches wide.
She could use her Ego that can make anything happen but she faced problems using it while swinging Gladius and dodging Bush's attacks. Not to forget, using her Ego drains her stamina and energy.
Pablo let them two slaves be and focused on the noisiest soldier.
Flashy Rail.
That man had two swords on his hand, two symbiotic hands were extended from his chest and he was jumping constantly using his Ego.
His partner, Draxus, was laughing all the way as for some reason, the serious face of Flashy made the shadow boy laugh out loud.
And talking about shadow, Draxus remembered something.
"Say, your father's Ego is also related to shadows, right?" He asked.
"Yeah. What of it?" Flashy replied, coldly.
Draxus smiled. "Nothing. It's just I also have a shadow related Ego so you can call me dad too from now on."
Flashy's eyes widened. "You bastard!"
Pablo laughed and turned his eyes away from the two men who acted like boys.
His eyes caught one more girl who was lazily swinging around her short sword and yet, her partner wasn't able to land a single hit on her.
They were Sera and Gerald and Sera used Andre to the best of hers and his abilities. Gerald wasn't even able to go near the girl.
He had his shadows all over his body, he was using his extensible sword and yet, nothing worked. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get near her.
"How are you this strong, lady? You are not even trying to fight me and yet, you are holding me back by an invisible force. What kind of Ego do you have?"
"Don't talk to me, old man. I have a husband."
Gerald chuckled. "Sure."
The old man stopped talking and tried to hit the lady at least once.
Pablo watched both of them closely and he reached one conclusion.
That's why, he spoke up.
"Sera!"
"Yes, dea—Sir?" Sera answered right away, letting go of her short sword too.
She was also about to call Pablo as dear when she remembered that he had especially told him not to call him that around the soldiers.
Pablo appreciated that she obliged to her order and told her what he wanted to say.
"Fight Gerald one on one. Don't use anything else. It's for your own good. Try to hurt him. He can handle it."
Sera smiled and was just about to accept when a voice roared:
"What is the meaning of this?!"
Only Sera, Cupid and Pablo heard that. Mostly because it was the male Angel Andrezj who opposed.
Pablo sighed, he couldn't see Andrezj but answered the Angel anyway, through his mind. 'If you ever went away, or isn't there with her, she would die. She relies on you too much. She has to use her own power.'
"I am her power."
'That's cute. But the Gods can call you back anytime and you will have to obey them. You are only the strongest Angel, not the strongest God.'
Andrezj almost rebuked until Sera raised her hand.
"I accept. I will do what you said, sir." She said and like that the debate between a Human and an Angel ended.
Andrezj wanted to argue more but he was powerless against her dearest.
Pablo nodded and showed no happiness on his face because for him, he wasn't fighting with Andrezj at all. He was just doing what he felt right and he was sure Sera would accept anyway.
Like that, Sera and Gerlad again began their training and finally the girl got serious and faught the old man.
Pablo let them be and swept his gaze at every pair present and nodded.
The time for the war drew near and the good news? The participant of the war showed no fear.
Pablo couldn't help but smile as he could only look forward to the D-day now. War for him, well…
"It's fun."
