Chapter 377: When Gods Hesitate, Pablo Demands
Nike left the room and Pablo picked up the red box the slave had created.
It was a simple type of container but it wasn't empty.
Pablo removed the lid from the rectangular box and checked the items inside it.
He used them right away and seeing them working, he put them back inside the box.
After that, he stored the box inside his bracelet and looked at Cupid.
Cupid caught his stare and she hid her… chest?
Pablo rolled his eyes.
"Sera and Hena both have bigger breasts than you. So you don't need to worry about me doing something to you."
"I see. That's fine- What? How dare you make fun of me like that? And I wasn't hiding my chest, I was hiding my diary!"
"Oh. My bad. But you know, you are better than Hena and Sera in one way."
"I am?" Cupid's voice perked up. "How?"
Pablo tilted his head, looking behind the Angel.
"You have a bigger ass."
"... You pervert!"
Cupid now hid her back with her hands.
Pablo found a chuckle but instantly straightened his face.
"Enough bullshit. I want to talk with the Gods."
"What? And how can you become serious after talking about my butt?"
"Just do your damn job. I would like to show the Gods some results before leaving for the Hollow kingdom."
"Oh. For that? Sure. Tell me what you want to say, it will be written in the diary and the Gods will read it when I tell them to read."
Cupid's diary floated in the air in front of Pablo as the magical pen waited for him to speak.
Taking a deep breath, Pablo didn't make the pen wait for too long.
"Send me the details of all the ten Gods. What is their name? What were they responsible for? How did they look? Why did people stop praying to them? And if no one believes in Gods anymore in this world, then how are you five still alive? Answer my questions then I'll do something for you all."
The pen finished writing everything Pablo said and then the page glowed in bright golden light.
Cupid, however, frowned.
"I can understand the other questions but why did you ask the last question? The one asking why the remaining five Gods are still alive. I mean, don't you already know why they are still alive?"
"I know. But since we were on that topic, I thought to ask it as well. Now shut up. Only speak when you have their Answer."
Cupid sighed. Pablo treated her like a child, if she forgot the fact that he praised her ass, and even if she complained, she would be ignored. So she shut her mouth.
The diary remained floating in front of Pablo as the page with his questions had disappeared a long time ago.
Cupid floated beside Pablo as well and since Cupid was keeping an eye out on the diary, Pablo lied on the bed.
The Angel didn't say anything about it but she sure wondered just how much Pablo liked to lay around.
Silence reigned in the room, Cupid became restless as it's been fifteen minutes since the page went to the Gods, they should have replied by now.
'They must be thinking whether to answer his questions or not. Of course they suspect him. It's their fault though, they should have chosen someone else for the job, what were they even expecting from Pablo, of course he would only listen to himself. They are so dum—'
'That's some bold thoughts you are having, dear Angel.'
Cupid's face went pale.
'Goddess Alfida? I was.. I was just wondering like a normal Angel. Nothing more. You know how I am, right? I could never think bad about you and the other Gods. You are my mother. I am just a child. Forgive me if yo—'
'Don't worry, dear. It's my fault for suddenly hearing your thoughts too. I should have given you your privacy. Everyone can think whatever they want.'
Cupid heaved a sigh of relief.
Goddess Alfida can hear the thoughts of her Angels whenever she wanted, Cupid knew that too but since Alfida never intruded in her mind like that, she didn't expect the Goddess to do that.
Nevertheless, Alfida forgave her.
'Do you want to tell me something, mother? You never come to my mind like this.'
'Yes. The questions he asked, what does he intend to do with that? The Gods here are fighting with each other verbally. Some are against answering him and some are ready to answer him. So I thought, if we get to know his plans it would be easier to answer his questions.
As you know, Pablo Castillo is a whimsical man. If he got to know about all the Gods, he might plan to do something against us in future and we don't want that. Of course, he won't be able to deal that much damage to us since he is just a Human but we would still like to have one less nuisance in future.'
'Oh. That's… kind of impossible.'
'What? What's impossible?' Alfida asked.
Cupid looked at Pablo.
'He never shares his intentions with anyone. No one knows what he wants to do. But he never does anything without a plan. But if you can take my word, I would like to suggest something.'
'Go ahead.' Alfida permitted Cupid and the Angel wasted no time.
'He asked you all those questions and in the end he said he would do something for all the Gods, and what I know for sure after staying with Pablo for months, is this…'
Cupid paused, exhaled and finished saying..
'He is a Man of his word.'
Alfida remained silent after hearing that and Cupid waited patiently for her Goddess mother to reply.
Eventually, Alfida spoke:
'Alright. I will believe you. We are giving him answers in five minutes. Take care.'
Cupid beamed.
Alfida stopped talking and Cupid was just happy that Alfida agreed with her. No one took her seriously back in the Gods and Angels realm, but now Alfida accepted her suggestion.
That's a big deal for her.
She stared at Pablo and deep in her heart, she sneakily believed…
Pablo made her better.
