Primordial giants manipulate and control their forces of power to form constructs of power. While not as deadly as their weapons upgrade they still bear dangerous effects.
[PERSONAL PERK - Starheart]
A heart forged directly from the Creator's being. Once able to absorb the Primordial energies in surges now only capable of drawing as much as physically and abstractly possible due to limitations set by The Will.
Looking at my little boy's panel I couldn't help but sigh at his title which confirmed my thoughts while I patted him to sleep attempting to stifle his wails. T wasn't for quite some time that he did stop wailing.
'I think you guys overdid it with the lightning'. I grumbled looking down at the now quiet and suckling lad. A thought rose in my head as I pondered if I would have to breastfeed him. The horror of the thought almost made me drop the boy. But it was quickly repressed by another feeling.
I think I know now how Mum felt on that day. Dad too. But this was simply a game that meant whatever they felt was even more than whatever I was feeling for Haero now. It made me sad to think about it. Sadder to think that I would be logging out too.
The sudden thought of logging off made me realize that I couldn't leave Haero alone.
'I just had to make a baby ehh" I chuckled.
Looking around I began having various thoughts. Ideas roamed in my head and I decided what I wanted to do. My eyes shut as I imagined what I needed and the system replied.
'Yeah, definitely reading our minds or something.' Going over at the prompt I observed how very basic it was.
[Erecting Palace]
[LOCAL TEMPLATE]
[FOREIGN TEMPLATE]
[CUSTOM TEMPLATE]
I didn't even bother as I went straight for the custom template. Then designed a palace. It was all the things that I did with the god only some differences.
[LUNAR PALACE]
Of Ice and metal. Forged of milthril. To safeguard a loved one, keeping her heart away from the tenebrous wolves of the Void.
[Defense - 200/200]
[Tier - 0]
[Core - N/A]
[Cost - 20 MVC]
[Confirm Construction]
[Y/N]
Unlike any other thing, the palace was made of materials that I knew were condensed by the Multiverse Will. So in a way, I had to pay for it Begrudgingly I clicked the yes and watched.
From nothing a colossal palace of ice and metal appeared. The walls were lined with black iron at their corners while tbe other parts were a mix of ice and golden metal. It was plain yet domineering. That was as far as I could inspect as I walked in half my mind focused on a slumbering Haero. I couldn't help but be amazed at how I walked yet didn't as I neared the palace.
Only within the palace did I relax and smile. Setting my little boy into a cradle formed from my will I then headed out. Made sure the door was locked behind me as I stepped off into the nothing. The fact I was already referring to the baby as my boy wasn't lost to me. Still, it made sense after all in here, he was made from me. Literally. In every word I could think to use, I was his Mother and him my son.
As I floated or stood in the nothingness, how it worked I didn't know, I thought I should get on with it and do what everyone was surely doing. A smile grew on my face as I looked around a bit first.
'Alright. Let's will it first before saying the worst'. Shutting my eyes I thought hard. How did one visualize a sun being birthed? Realizing I didn't know I decided to just try saying the words and willing it without imagination and go from there.
"Let there be light!". Looking around searching for any phenomena I slowly got disappointed. 'Maybe it needs ...'
[Abstract Calculated ]
[Abstract Sufficient]
I didn't know where the light should have come from but I didn't expect it to be from within me. A bright ball of magma, rock, and fire grew out of my body casting just a bit of light onto my Ethereal unseen form before it shot away and hung itself like a red disco of red and yellow right in the centre of the dark environment.
[Sol Forged]
There were no rewards and it grated on my nerves. Why were there no rewards? Confused and annoyed at such an event being downplayed I turned to head back to the castle when a howl echoed through the void. My head swivelled about as I sought the source.
'Wolves. How's a wolf here?'. This was the birth of creation. Which meant there should have been no creation anywhere. Exempting the just newly made Sol.
I soon found the source just as the system spoke, its voice thundering in my head, the anticipation and excitement in each word clear.
[Primordial Incursion]
The Void howls and rages. Seeking to return what was once its own back into its hold. The Void Wolf is here to claim what shouldn't be.
The words of the system were lost to me as a shrill cry joined the already dissipating howl of the Void Wolf. 'Lunat Palace. Haero'. Fear, a friend I was quite familiar with surged up in me. Shock followed. I had no time to even reckon why I felt fear in a goddamn game but before I could register myself I was already at the broken doors of the Palace.
[Defense - 0/200]
The doors had barely lasted against the void-wolf raising alarm in me. What level could it be to have gotten through the defence so abruptly? Running into the room I found a sight that made me almost despair.
The Void-wolf was a black macabre creature that stood at a massive eight feet tall with its four legs. Fangs that made me shiver and claws like sharp little daggers. Its black fur looked more like the spikes of a porcupine and its blazing ashen eyes regarded me with contempt. The glaring red of the letters Level 5 mocked me from above its head.
Yet as awed and terrified as I was of the thing before me my eyes were locked on Haero. The baby was wide awake, getting dangled by his feet from the maws of the bastardy creature. An amused gaggle left his lips as he swayed.
I looked back up. At the end of the day, this was a game. What the Void Wolf wouldn't expect was that any fear I could ever possess wouldn't be for mobs in this game. Which meant that at the moment I was feeling more awe at the wolf than fear. And even the awe was fast receding and replaced with anger.
Watching my little boy dangling from the jaws of the creature I realized one thing. Parental affection was underrated. I was thinking this while fully aware this was a game. I couldn't imagine how it would feel in reality.
My unseen form which from the creature's gaze was quite obviously visible to it pounced like a rabid beast. Weaponless and without preparation.
'I'm not Batman'.
*****
In a cosy-looking office plastered with different posters of games sat a man in a leather swivelling chair. His hair gelled to perfection and his face chiselled pristinely.
Amber eyes glared with curiosity and tiredness at a large screen while his palms kneaded a ball to relieve his stress.
Jameson had been running up and down listening to reports and fixing bugs while also guiding the other staff in carefully monitoring the hundred Creator players that had logged in about thirty or so minutes ago.
Yet in just that time frame he'd seen monsters and various experts annoying the brains out of him. Jameson had ignored all this while following all the player's activities until one of the staff came to him with panic In their eyes or was it awe and shock? Anyways his eyes were bulged out and his hands shaky.
Only when he had the man display his screen on the larger screen did he get it. Some players had evolved with their Origin ability and converted Primordial chaos into their very body.
While still taking that in he found another that forged themselves into their very sun making him wonder what the frack was wrong with this hundred players. Then the one that had him unnerved. The very reason for the ball getting squeezed in his hands and who he had been watching. Creator 79.
The goddamn player whose gender he wasn't sure of due to confidentiality policies and the fact that he wasn't that high up to know. The A.I wouldn't release it too unless there was a violation of some conduct against players.
Said player had made their very own administrator and their race template. If the template's racial type wasn't OP enough the added personal perk the Creator had given the administrator had him ordering the staff managing the player to give a warning. And the warning ignored or was it accepted?
He didn't get it. The administrator was born as a baby which was in a way good. As a baby, it had more time to build its foundations. Something the players didn't know. Plus it could practice and hone its abilities and skills from a tender age.
Adolescent gods were merely a fast path to power but technically weaker than infant-grown gods. Now the said infant god had a race with powerful but standard godly abilities. The problem was the heart that could absorb Primordial Chaos.
So he waited, taking charge of the player from the staff. Then the moment it was named he nerfed it. Call him brutal he didn't care. While the player had done nothing wrong but simply found a loophole unknowingly to exploit he couldn't let the god grow while feeding on Primordial Chaos without strain or setbacks
That was giving an administrator the power to potentially rival a Creator god. Creator 79 would thank him soon. Even though the nerfing would weaken and soon be broken when the player reached sufficient strength it was better than unleashing something this powerful early on in the game.
Which was why he wrote the requests for the Multiverse AI to send in a Void Wolf. While the AI could choose to listen or not it had decided to make one attempt. If the Creator player survived then they deserved their prize and reward.
If the Creator failed, well, it was a game. Just one without a do-over.
