Chapter 2: Act II: The Awakening of the Laws(Updated)
"Eons Passed, but Sparks of Consciousness Only Just Began to Ignite"
"I saw that the first law to awaken would be Infinity."
"I wondered why, and immediately I understood."
"It is infinite, and the first one I created."
"It is the foundation of the infinity that constitutes the Omniverse."
"It exists in the greatest quantity, and thus it would awaken first."
"The next to awaken would not be Dimension, but Void, due to the creation of a dimension corresponding to it."
"The third to awaken would be Dimension, and the fourth, Matter."
"The fifth would be Beginning and End, and the sixth, Destiny."
"The last to awaken would be Records, because with the birth of laws that would be recorded in history, it had to be the final one."
...Eons Passed Again, and Infinity Began to Awaken...
"But for today, I will say no more."
[Omniverse]
-Unknown Space-
'BOOM!'
'Tiin'
'Zzzzz'
Suddenly, in the infinite dimension, a rift appeared, and within it, a being awoke.
"Who am I?…" it thought and asked itself.
"What am I?…" it said aloud, expecting an answer.
"Where am I?…" it wondered.
"What is this place?" it said, not expecting a reply.
"And who am I? I feel as though I am everywhere and nowhere."
"I feel… Infinite?…"
"Yes, Infinite… but why? And what does Infinite mean?"
"Am I Infinite? Or is this place Infinite? What does it all mean?"
It began to ponder its existence, diving deeper into its thoughts. Days, months, or years might have passed.
Then, suddenly, a forgotten thought emerged.
"Perhaps, to understand, I must see what this place is?" it thought and asked itself.
"Yes, that might be the only solution," it concluded, and began to look around.
Suddenly, it took flight.
...................
"AAAAA! This place has no end! Why?!" it screamed, overwhelmed with its first taste of frustration.
"What is this place, and why?!" it shouted, searching for answers. Its face, newly formed, displayed raw emotions, the strongest being helplessness.
"But why do I feel the same way? Endless?" it wondered.
"Does this mean Infinite?" it questioned, unsure if it was the truth.
"And if so, why is it like this?" It sought answers but found none.
"Why?" It waited for a response, but none came.
"How much time has passed?" it asked, resigned, not knowing what to do.
"Centuries, years, days??" it questioned, still defeated and powerless.
"I have been everywhere and nowhere," it said, reflecting.
"..."
"This place is strange," it noted, realizing everything looked the same.
"I feel as though I've been here before… but I haven't?" it said, confused.
"Perhaps it's because there's almost nothing here," it concluded, sensing something faint.
Suddenly, the Omniverse vibrated.
'Bzzzzz'
"What are these vibrations?" it asked itself.
"They're coming from there," it said and quickly moved to the source.
"What is happening?" it asked, staring at a tear in infinite space.
"What is that?" After a moment, it saw something emerging from it.
"Is it something like me?" it said, uncertain of what was happening but hopeful it would not be alone.
-A Moment Later-
"Who am I…" it thought and asked itself.
"What am I…" it said aloud, expecting an answer.
"Where am I…"
"Emmm…"
"Hello!?" Infinity said, excited and slightly disoriented.
"What…?" Void replied, confused.
"Who are you? Who am I?" Void asked, searching for answers.
"I'm Infinity, but I don't know who you are," Infinity said.
"The only thing I know is that we're definitely alike!" Infinity added, slightly excited.
"How are we alike?" Void asked, confused.
"I don't know, but I feel we are," Infinity said, with a confidence it had never experienced before.
"But the most important thing is for you to discover who and what you are," Infinity said, continuing:
"I can tell you a bit about how I understood myself, though I'm still not sure of it," Infinity explained.
"I am Infinity, and I discovered this by sensing and traveling through this place," it said confidently.
"But not only that—try to feel yourself," Infinity suggested.
"Try to do the same," it said, full of conviction.
"...Okay," Void replied, lacking confidence but willing to try.
Void began to sense… to sense itself.
"I feel… something, or the lack of something?" Void said, uncertain.
"I feel an almost total absence of anything… and something inescapable?" it continued, still uncertain.
"No… I feel more like something is confined?" it said, seeking answers.
Then, turning to Infinity, Void asked:
"But why do I feel the same way?"
"Because it's you… and not you?" Infinity responded, unsure if it was correct.
"But how can that be?" Void asked, unconvinced.
"I don't know, but an almost complete absence and something confining might be connected to you?" Infinity speculated, still unsure.
After a moment of reflection, Void spoke again.
"But that's not all," Void said.
"I feel something else—another space, different from this one," it said, uncertain but intrigued.
"What other space? And how can you feel it when even I'm not sure if this place is what I've been in before?" Infinity replied, confused by Void's sudden discovery.
"I don't know, but I can feel it," Void said, now certain.
"I feel as though if I reach out, I can touch it," Void said, extending its hand and touching the unknown.
'Tiin'
'Bzzzzz'
'BOOOM'
Suddenly, the space shattered, revealing something new.
