Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World!

Chapter 6: Placing First Mark!

"Guess it's time to make a deal... with a demon."

The demon's red eyes shot open, blazing with rage. In a heartbeat, it leapt up with a feral snarl, claws flashing as it lunged straight at him.

But this time, Creed wasn't the same helpless prey he'd been before.

Since awakening his life core, his body had undergone its first stage of strengthening and his muscles had hardened like steel springs.

He was faster now—faster than this weakened demon.

The demon's claw whizzed past his face as he sidestepped, letting it stumble just enough for him to strike.

With a swift flick of his wrist, his sword flashed in the air and came slicing down, landing his first blow across the demon's forearm.

A burst of dark blood spattered the ground, and the demon staggered back, hissing in pain.

The fiend spun, regaining its footing, its eyes narrowing in pure rage. Creed's gaze was steady, his body low, poised to strike again.

Bam!

Before the demon could react, he lunged forward for the second move, launching a powerful thrust aimed straight at its shoulder.

The blade pierced through with a sickening crunch, pinning the demon back momentarily as it let out a strangled roar, trying to wrest itself free.

But Creed didn't give it a chance.

Drawing the sword back in a single smooth motion, he executed his final move—a devastating downward slash that cut across the demon's side.

The fiend staggered, collapsing to its knees, its furious gaze weakening as it slumped, defeated, breathing in ragged gasps.

Creed towered over the fallen demon, breathing hard but steady. His eyes were cold and sharp as he stared at the demon.

He switched to the demon tongue, Drakkath, his voice hard as stone. "Listen to me, demon. I'm giving you a choice. Accept my offer, and you get to live."

The demon looked up at him, blood dripping from its mouth, still growling with fury. But the anger in its eyes was mingled with fear.

"I'm offering you a deal," Creed continued, his voice calm and unwavering. "You're weak, barely holding on. The corrosion inside this wraith's stomach is eating away at you. If you don't get out of here soon, you'll die."

He watched as the demon's expression faltered, its pride battling with the realization of its situation. "If you want to survive, you need my help."

The fiend narrowed its eyes, but the flicker of hesitation was unmistakable. "You think I need help from the likes of you?" it sneered, though its tone lacked its former venom. "I need no help from a human!"

"You can pretend all you want, but you're not fooling me," Creed shot back. "Here's the deal. I'll give you a few drops of my blood essence, just enough to stabilize you and heal some of your injuries. In return, you'll let me place a Dominion mark on your soul. That way, I can trust you not to try anything once I'm weakened from donating my blood essence."

"What's a Dominion Mark?! Some forbidden human ritual?!" It spat, it's red eyeballs fixing Creed a disgusted stare.

"No, it's not some forbidden ritual. It's just... it's like a contract between the two of us that binds you to me as my companion."

The demon's lips curled in disgust, it's pride flaring. "A Dominion mark? You would bind me? I am not some weakling to control. I would rather rot!"

Creed's expression hardened. "If you don't accept, you will rot. The corrosion will finish you off soon enough, and trust me, it won't be a quick death."

He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "So what's it going to be? A shot at freedom and strength... or an agonizing death inside this creature's stomach? You don't have time to waste."

The demon's jaw clenched, its defiance fading as the harsh reality settled in. It was no fool, it could also see that it's condition was dire.

There was no way for it to recover from it's wounds in time without absorbing human blood essence, and since he couldn't take it by force, there really was no other solution.

And, it still had a very important mission to complete. It couldn't afford to die here.

Finally, with a reluctant nod, it growled, "Fine. I will accept."

A smile tugged at Creed's lips. He reached out a hand, ready to initiate the binding, and asked the System, "System, how do I place a Dominion mark?"

[To place a Dominion mark, simply place your hand on the target's head. The System will perform the marking and binding process.]

Creed pressed his palm against the demon's forehead, and instantly, a strange energy surged from his hand.

Ancient, swirling symbols began to form beneath his fingers, glowing with a fiery light as they spiraled across the demon's skin.

The air around them crackled, and a deep hum echoed, filling the small, pulsing space inside the wraith's stomach.

The symbols coiled, burning themselves into the demon's essence, becoming one with its soul.

A flickering pulse of light traveled through their connection, and for a brief moment, Creed glimpsed flashes of the demon's memories—pain, anger, and the raw, untamed fury that drove it.

The binding completed with a final, resounding pulse, and the symbols faded, leaving behind a faint, ethereal mark on the demon's forehead.

Creed and the demon both gasped as the binding settled. He could feel it—a connection, like a thread binding them together.

He could sense the demon's presence within him, a dark shadow that he could call upon, understand, even trust... to an extent.

[Congratulations! You have successfully marked your first demon. Bestowing welcome gift...]

A strange red wisp of smoke appeared before Creed, locked within a small transparent vial. He stared at it curiously for some time before pocketing it quickly, saving it for later.

Turning back to the demon, Creed noticed something different in its expression. The fierceness was still there, but now there was a flicker of respect, even grudging acceptance.

"What's your name?" Creed asked.

The demon hesitated, then grumbled, "Dagga."

Creed grinned, the tension breaking as he straightened, feeling a newfound excitement. "Alright, Dagga. Let's get out of here."
