Chapter 23: Fourth And Fifth Raids
Bob, as usual, began his training. In his new Green Zone, his practice sessions were significantly more effective.
The people around him quickly grew accustomed to his presence since nearly everyone had already seen him train.
After his workout, just before the fourth raid, Bob earned his usual 540 XP.

Night Sun experienced a significant surge in station. Its members began to look down on those who hadn't joined, resorting to bullying and harassment. As a result, 99% of the station's population joined Night Sun, bringing their numbers to 670 members, 45% of whom were level 5 or higher.
During the day, Condor planned to assemble a scouting team to explore both sides of the tunnel. However, just as the team set out for the left side, Addak appeared. He announced that this was another scenario and that a new section would only open once the current one was completed. He then barricaded that side of the tunnel.
Two hours later, the scouting team returned with strange findings. First, their former stations were nowhere to be found. Condor theorized that each group had initially been in different locations. When they had entered the tunnel leading to the main room, Addak had teleported them to this tunnel instead.
The team also discovered another station, which Condor believed was the original one. It was filled with rotting human corpses. What was even stranger was that it was designated as a Safe Zone, meaning no monsters should have been able to breach it. No one could explain how such a massacre occurred.
This led to rumors that monsters could spawn inside Safe Zones. A new theory emerged—that Bob himself was a monster. However, this theory was highly unpopular since most people viewed Bob as their idol. Anyone who mentioned it was immediately shut down by others.

As usual, Bob made his way to the tunnel entrance, where he was greeted by Condor, Rod, and the three commanders.
Condor updated Bob on recent developments, but he was especially serious when discussing the discovery of the corpses. Finally, with a smile, he give Bob the promised coins.
[+165,000 coins]
[32 watchers are surprised at this magnificent sum and congratulate you for deciding to join Night Sun]
When Bob saw the amount, he didn't know what to think. He had just received an enormous sum for doing almost nothing. Even with all his rigorous training and monster slaying, he had never earned this much in total. Feeling extremely fortunate for accepting Condor's offer, Bob was overjoyed.
However, the discovery of his station worried him. It raised the possibility that they might uncover more about him—something that couldn't happen as there was little evidence. If they ever turned on him, warriors could corner him while mages and archers bombarded him with attacks. He doubted he could dodge every projectile and would likely die. His only hope in such a scenario would be to use Shadow Cloak to escape back to his original station.
He shook off these dark thoughts, drew his sword from his inventory, and prepared for the fourth raid.
The fourth raid was slightly tougher, requiring Bob to think a bit more strategically. However, it still wasn't a real challenge for him, and as usual, he killed every monster with a single strike.

Within an hour, the raid was over, and Bob contentedly returned to his new Green Zone.
He checked his stats and realized he had over 15,000 XP, meaning he could afford to reach level 12 after the fifth raid.
Bob began his usual training, earning his standard 540 XP upon completion.
Afterwards, he made his way to the tunnel entrance.
-- --
Not much had changed within Night Sun. After the fifth raid, the percentage of members with level 5 or higher rose by 10%, bringing it to 55%.
Condor sent another scouting team to thoroughly explore the original station. The team returned after two hours, reporting no useful materials. However, they did find an exit from the metro. Unfortunately, the outside was heavily irradiated, and monsters far stronger than those from the raids roamed the area.
Condor speculated that even if the outside were safe, Addak would likely intervene to prevent them from leaving.
Despite the faction's growing strength, tensions simmered beneath the surface. Some members, emboldened by their new powers, began to flaunt their status, provoking those still struggling to climb the ranks. Heated arguments occasionally broke out in the common areas, quickly quelled by commanders.

As usual, people cleared the way for Bob, allowing him to join the familiar group.
The six exchanged greetings. Rod proudly announced that he had reached level 8, while Condor admitted he didn't have much time for training or fighting but was only 1,000 XP away from level 9.
Condor updated Bob on the latest developments, though there wasn't much news. They chatted for a while about random topics until the sound of stomping monsters interrupted them.
All six drew their weapons from their inventories, and Condor, Rod, and the three commanders moved to lead the troops.
The fifth raid was significantly harder than the previous four.
The first wave consisted of small, brown monsters that Bob easily dispatched with one strike each. The second wave featured winged, grey monsters with large eyes. They were somewhat cunning, but Bob still managed to kill most of them effortlessly with single blows.
The third wave introduced bear-like monsters crossed with some strange octopus. They were quite strong and had tough fur but were extremely slow. This allowed Bob to swiftly decapitate them, taking them down in a single strike as well.

Bob casually waved at Condor, who seemed to be in a foul mood and then made his way back to his Green Zone.
