Chapter 20: First Raid
Bob came out of the green zone and looked at the man who had a beaming smile.
"Hi, Bob. I'm Condor, the leader here. Nice to meet you." Condor introduced himself
"Leader?"
When Condor heard that, he put on a satisfied expression, "I'm glad you're asking; yes, I'm the new leader. I came to this station about 3 hours ago. I'm level 8, and when people heard I was level 8, they were quick to trust me, so we agreed, decided to start a faction, and together we decided that I would be the leader."
"But there is still one more position open: general, and when I heard about your level 10 and your famous hard training I felt that this position is just for you," Condor added.
Bob was silent for a moment and just looked at Condor, "And what do I gain by this?" He finally said.
"Well, you can command people in my faction, about 60% of the people in this station have decided to join me, everyone but me has to obey your orders on your word, since our faction formed a while ago we don't have many advantages but we will gain some more in the future," Condor replied.
"What will be my duties as a general?" Bob asked
"Well, you'll be in command of the troops, planning strategies," Condor replied.
"I don't accept, now my goal is to get stronger and stronger and this would only hold me back." Said Bob coldly.
When Conder heard this his smile widened even more.
"I've created a special role for someone like you—Elite."
"Elite?
"An elite is the most powerful warrior in the faction, has the same rights as a general, and best of all your only duty is to fight." Said Conder confidently.
'What do you think Remo?' Bob decided that he would always ask Remo about such decisions and this time was no exception.
'I don't see any red flags or any advantages, it's up to you,' Remo concluded.
Bob took a moment to think, so he stared, looking at Conder; Conder was starting to get a little nervous about Bob; after all, who wouldn't be?
"I'll accept," Bob said after a moment.
[34 watchers is pleased with your decision]
[32 Watchets is not happy with your decision]
When Conder heard this he smiled gratefully and said. "Welcome to the Night Sun, Elite. Otherwise, I'm a mage."
"A mage is pretty much the same as a warrior, I just naturally get 2 points in intelligence but after every 2 levels of agility, vitality after every 5 levels and nothing in strength, we have different training where you not only get XP but it was said that if you train long you get a free point in intelligence."
"I haven't trained that long yet," Condor explained.
Condor then took out some muffins and mineral water from his inventory.
"You want one?"
"Where did you get that?" Bob asked.
"You don't know about this? There's a vending machine near the second-floor escalator where you can buy random food for 10 coins and drinks for 5 coins."
"I don't want to; I have a mutation that makes me not need food or drink." Replied
Then Condor turned his hand over, and 3 long grey blades were remaining on his triceps.
"I have it on both hands, and it produces poison, but it's hard to hit an enemy with, and it's useless to me as a mage," Condor said
Then Bob went to the entrance of the tunnel to wait for the raid monster and Condor entertained him and went somewhere else.
Of course, people saw this conversation and had even more respect for Condor, and Bob's morale went up a bit since he joined the Night Sun.
More and more people gathered outside the tunnel, and even some Night Sun members bowed to Bob.

[Raid of the first day begins]
Bob was pleased to see it was finally here, he he didn't enjoy the wait.
There was a noise coming from both directions of the tunnel and various monsters that were quite small began to come out of them.
Bob ran into the horde of monsters, and gradually, more and more people joined him.
Bob sprinted into the horde, his sword gleaming in the dim light of the tunnel. The first monsters lunged at him—small, insectoid creatures with razor-sharp mandibles. Bob sidestepped one, it with ease and brought his sword down, cleaving it in two.
The next wave of creatures followed closely. They were slightly larger, their chitinous bodies glinting ominously. Bob swung his sword in a wide arc, cutting through three of them in one fluid motion.
Behind him, more survivors joined the fray. Some were inexperienced, their attacks clumsy, but others demonstrated surprising skill. Bob noticed one man wielding twin daggers, darting between monsters with agility, while another woman blasted fireballs from her hands, incinerating clusters of enemies.
Meanwhile, Condor stood at a distance, orchestrating the battle. His voice rang out, issuing commands: "Group C, hold the left flank! Mages provide ranged support!
Bob glanced back briefly, noting Condor's authoritative presence. Despite his earlier doubts, Condor seemed competent, his strategies keeping the group organized and minimizing casualties.
A sudden shriek pierced the air, louder and more menacing than the previous monsters. Bob turned his attention to the tunnel's far end, where a massive figure emerged. It was at least three times the size of the smaller creatures, with thick, armoured plates covering its body and glowing blue eyes that exuded malice.
[First Raid Boss: Tunnel Devourer]
Bob hadn't expected the first raid to feature a boss.
The Tunnel Devourer roared and shook the ground as it raced towards the survivors. Bob lunged forward and met the monster head-on. His sword clashed against its armoured skin, breaking it easily; Bob plunged his sword into it and began slashing the Boss; after a moment, it fell to the ground dead.
Bob didn't even expect anything else. It was the Boss of the first raid, and it was clear he was going to kill him easily.
[Congratulations, you killed the Boss: Tunnel Devourer]
[+2 bonus points]
[Congratulations you survived the raid on the first day]
[+3550 XP]
[+15,510 coins]
A lot of system windows popped up at Bob; Bob was happy with the rewards. After all, he didn't spend even 1 HP.
The survivors erupted in cheers, their morale soaring. Bob stood atop the fallen Boss, his glowing red eyes surveying the crowd. Despite the victory, his expression remained cold and focused.
[45 watchers liked the show, they found your easy killing of monsters soothing]
Condor approached, a look of admiration on his face. "Incredible work, Bob. You've proven why you're our Elite."
Bob simply nodded and headed back to his green zone.
