7:00 AM – A School in Recife, Brazil

Two girls walk through the school corridors, but they are not just any girls. Their presence is overwhelming, their aura heavier than anything anyone has ever seen. Even now, they still question why they are in school at all.

Valentino (Excited): "Eighth grade is finally here! I'm so excited to see my friends from last year. Lately, there have been a lot of thunderstorms, lightning, and power outages across the city, and I just know this isn't normal."

Valentino arrives in the classroom and sees his friends, Thiago and Caio, after two months of vacation.

Valentino (Happy): "I'm so glad you guys are here! Usually, not many people come on the first day of school."

Thiago (Happy): "Yeah, Caio and I came in the same transport, so that ruined the excitement of seeing you together."

Caio (Laughing): "I think he's sad to see me."

Thiago: "Nah, nothing like that."

As they walk down the school hallway, chatting about their vacation, the school bell rings, and everyone heads to their classrooms. Valentino, Thiago, and Caio are the first to enter, except for the teacher, who is already there.

Teacher: "Since it's your first day and not many students have arrived yet, I'll let you talk freely until the rest get here."

No one was yet aware of the two mysterious new girls who were about to enter the school.

Meanwhile, in the school hallway:

Rafa (Concerned): "Where's our classroom? I don't know why the principal decided to mix the morning and afternoon eighth-grade classes."

Emilly (Bluntly): "I don't even know why we're here."

Rafa: "You were the one who wanted us to go to school! Now, come on!"

Inside the classroom:

Valentino (Bored): "It's so dull. I wish we had a Muay Thai lesson right now."

Thiago (Curious): "Since when do you want that?"

Valentino (Sarcastic): "Just thoughts, my noble friend."

Caio (Neutral): "Speaking of Muay Thai, did you guys hear about a mysterious person creating a new fighting style?"

Thiago: "At least say the name of the style, man."

(Valentino laughs.)

Caio: "Actually, there are two: one called 'Deushumano' or 'GodHuman,' and the other is 'Arte Sanguínea' or 'Sanguine Art'—something like that."

Valentino: "God? Like, a divine fighting style?"

Thiago: "I don't think any angel would waste their time creating a fighting style unless it was truly divine, with powers and other crazy stuff."

Caio: "I doubt angels and gods even exis—"

Valentino: "ATHEIST!"

Caio: "Calm down! I didn't even fini—"

(The door suddenly swings open.)

Rafa: "Good morning! Is this Room 8C?"

Teacher: "It says so on the door."

Rafa: "Oh, thanks!"

(Emilly enters without saying a word.)

Valentino (Thinking): These two give off a different atmosphere…

Rafa (To Valentino): "Hey! Can I sit next to you?"

Valentino (Looking around): "Hey, sure!"

Valentino (Thinking): Damn, I wanted the brunette, but okay.

Rafa: "Emilly! Sit here next to me."

Emilly: "But there's no chair."

Rafa: "Sit on the floor."

Caio: "There's a chair back here."

Emilly: "Oh, thanks."

On the way to the gym:

Teacher: "Alright, since it's the first day, we'll do a gym activity."

(Everyone heads to the gym.)

Valentino: "So… it's basically a PE class?"

Teacher: "Pretty much."

Caio: "Yeah, if it were theoretical, we'd be using paper."

Rafa: "What time do we get out of here?"

Emilly: "Whenever we want."

Rafa: "But there's nothing to do at home."

Emilly: "We don't even have a home."

The class spends hours having free physical education activities. Since the school ranges from sixth to ninth grade, each class has a designated PE day throughout the week. After an entire day of PE, all students head home—except for Rafa and Emilly.

Valentino (To his friends): "Did you guys see those new girls?"

Thiago and Caio: "Yeah!"

Valentino: "I think I'll go check something real quick. Be right back!"

Thiago (To Caio): "How much do you bet he won't come back?"

(Valentino spots Rafa.)

Valentino (Shouting): "Rafa!"

(Rafa turns around.)

Rafa: "Oh, hey! It's you."

Valentino: "Well, I wanted to talk to you about someth—"

Rafa: "Sorry, I'm in a huge rush. I kind of have a job, you know?"

Valentino: "Oh, alright! Where's your friend?"

Rafa: "She's at her house."

Valentino: "Got it… well, see you another day!"

Rafa: "Yeah!"

(Rafa meets up with Emilly.)

Rafa (To Emilly): "So, it's 6:20 PM already. We can do whatever we want for now."

Emilly (Looking at the sky): "This world is really boring, huh?"

Rafa: "Emilly?"

Emilly: "Oh, hey."

Rafa (Laughing): "What were you doing?"

Emilly: "Just reflecting."

Rafa: "I'll be up in the clouds, but you know—if you need me, just yell."

Emilly: "Alright, Rafa."

(As Emilly walks away, she mutters to herself.)

Emilly: "What does she mean by 'up in the clouds'? Was she talking about dreaming or something?"

Later, in a park…

As Emilly walks through the park, she sees a classmate—Caio.

Caio: "Emilly?!"

Emilly: "Hi?"

Caio: "So cool seeing you here! What are you doing?"

Emilly: "Just here to feel the warmth of the sun."

Caio: "But it's nighttime."

Emilly: "I meant the streetlight."

Caio (Confused): "Oh… got it."

Emilly: "And you? What are you doing here?"

Caio: "I was coming back from my Taekwondo class."

Emilly: "Nice. I'm a black belt in that. Actually, I have black belts in every martial art."

Caio: "Wow! How old are you?"

Emilly (Calmly): "I'm 13."

Caio: "Me too! But… have you been training since you were born??"

Emilly: "I can learn anything just by watching."

Caio: "Huh? What do you mean?"

Emilly: "Never mind, you wouldn't understand."

Caio: "Oh, alright. Hey! Since you know all fighting styles, have you heard of GodHuman or Sanguine Art?"

Emilly: "Oh yeah, I know them. But I don't practice GodHuman. If you want to know about that, talk to Rafa—she knows a few things."

Caio: "She practices GodHuman?"

Emilly: "I don't know."

Caio: "But you practice Sanguine Art?"

Emilly: "No. Anyway, it's late—I should go home. Ask me more about it tomorrow."

Caio: "Alright! See you at school."

Later, Emilly meets up with Rafa.

Emilly (Shouting): "Rafa! I need to tell you something!"

(Silence.)

Emilly: "Huh? Didn't she say she was in the clou—"

Rafa (Jumping out to scare her): "Hi!"

Emilly: "You know Caio from our class? He was asking about GodHuman and Sanguine Art."

Rafa (Serious): "And you said…?"

Emilly: "I told him you knew more about GodHuman and that I practiced Sanguine Art. But I just said it was late and left."

Rafa (Yelling): "YOU IDIOT! YOU SHOULD'VE SAID YOU DIDN'T KNOW OR DIDN'T PRACTICE! MORON!"

Rafa: "You didn't mention my name, did you?"

Emilly: "Well…"

Rafa: "Oh my God. But did you come here just to tell me that?"

Emilly: "Yeah, but let's focus on our work tomorrow…"
