Chapter 252: Alicia's Dominance!
The sand has been flowing in the hourglass as 10 hours have passed since the start of the Dungeon Rush Exam. Alex's kidnapping and rescue didn't make any waves other than Sera's withdrawal.
When Lily notified Luis about the events, the only thing he felt was pity for Frank and Rover's escape. After all, he has yet to settle accounts with them for the Killing Formation. Even though it didn't hurt him. He was indeed angry.
'Forget it. I believe we will meet again. It won't be too late to deal with them at that time.'
Luis shook his head and looked at the vast desert with an annoyed expression. "Why haven't we encountered any monsters since we entered this zone?"
Cobert rubbed his chin. "Maybe they were all killed by another team?"
"I don't think there are other teams stronger than our team," Bonnie said with confidence.
Sufi nodded with a cold face as she glanced at Luis and Cobert. 'How can they be opponents of these two perverted monsters?' Thinking so, she shook her head. 'I need to work hard.'
At this time, Luis' perception noticed something. The sight of which made his steps pause.
"What's wrong?" Sufi asked.
Luis's lips twitched as he gazed in a direction and muttered under his breath.
"No wonder… It seems she launched a massacre here…"
"Huh?" Confused, Cobert followed his gaze to sense in that direction, and a moment later, he was stunned. His listlessness disappeared, and with a cheerful expression, he suggested. "Hey, Luis! How about we go there? This heat is unbearable!"
Luis looked at him speechlessly. Then waved his hand.
"Let's go! There's no point in staying here."
Sufi and Bonnie looked at them with confused expressions.
"What happened? What did you see?" Bonnie asked.
Cobert smiled and said with a teasing look. "If given enough time, someone's fiancée might bring an ice age to this raging desert."
Luis looked at him with a dark face, but didn't respond.
Cobert chuckled, seeing that they were still confused. He suggested. "These dunes are blocking our view. Why don't you go up there and see for yourself?"
Curious, the two followed his suggestion and climbed to the top of the dunes. Then, what followed was shock.
Sufi's breath caught in her throat as her eyes widened.
Bonnie trembled slightly, clutching her cloak tighter around herself despite the desert heat. "T-this… this is impossible…"
In their sight, an entire swath of the desert had been frozen solid. Sand had turned glassy white, glittering like shattered crystal under the sun.
Corpses of monsters littered the frost-bitten dunes.
Steaming Monkeys, creatures that normally thrived by radiating intense body heat, were now statues of ice, their fur locked in frosty spikes, their snarling fangs sealed beneath layers of frost.
Many Sand Hippos had collapsed mid-charge, their heads encased in translucent ice while the bodies were broken into chunks, blood and organs frozen into scarlet jewels embedded in snow-like powder.
The worst sight was the colony of Steel Jaw Ants, further ahead. They were scattered across the frozen battlefield, their metallic exoskeletons cracked and shattered, jaws torn apart by the sudden expansion of frost that had crept inside their armoured shells.
Blood gushing out of some of these monsters was captured in jagged icicles, frozen mid-spray, suspended in grotesque beauty.
As if they were frozen right after being cut.
Blood, once gushing and steaming in the furnace-like air, was now captured in jagged icicles, frozen mid-spray, suspended in grotesque beauty.
The smell of iron and death should have filled the air, but the cold suppressed even that, leaving only a sharp, sterile chill in this hot desert.
Sufi shivered, not from the cold, but from something deeper. Her usual calm expression faltered as she muttered, "This… this isn't a battle. This is execution."
Bonnie nodded numbly, her eyes glued to the frozen horror. "So many monsters… wiped out in one sweep… She did all this? Alone?"
Cobert smirked in amusement and commented. "Sister-in-law is domineering."
Right then, he felt a cold stare on his back. He turned to look at Luis' expressionless face and gave an awkward smile.
Sufi and Bonnie had strange expressions on their faces. Although Cobert said nothing wrong. Why did his tone give them a weird feeling?
Luis didn't care about their reactions and said, "If you have seen enough, let's move on. The other teams have already collected the rest of the golden slates and are gathering at the altar. We should be prepared for the boss fight."
Upon hearing this, Sufi and Bonnie's gazes became serious. Only Cobert returned to his listless look.
Before they left, Luis took one last glance at the frozen battlefield, feeling happy in his heart.
'You have become stronger, Alicia. Have you broken through D-Rank?'

At the Altar.
After receiving the news of the boss battle, several teams have already arrived. It's just that the number is far less compared to the original number of students.
600 students have been reduced to the current less than 50.
There might still be some teams fighting in the zone, but the number is not large.
Many eliminated students were seriously injured. Fortunately, there weren't any deaths thanks to the timely rescue by the capable rescue staff.
[The students in the infirmary might have different opinions, such as Alex: (눈‸눈)]
The focus of these students was on the teams standing close to the Altar, waiting for them to summon the Boss Monster. It was these teams holding a Golden Slate each.
Alicia's team: From Raging Desert Zone
Rura's Team: From Mech Tech Zone
Sandra's Team: From Winter Mist Zone
Seraphina's Team: From Evergreen Paradise
And the last one to arrive. Luis' team, which held the golden slate of the Poisonous Swamp Zone.
Some were arrogant. Some had envy. Some seemed worried. But most of all, they were all waiting for the final battle to begin.
Under their impatient eyes, the five teams connected the pieces back together and placed them in the circular pattern in front of the altar.
