Chapter 7: The Return Of Snowflake
Waking up the next morning, Uche couldn't keep his worry off his mind, he had thought having a good sleep will make him forget everything that had happened, but it didn't work at all, in fact, it's almost as if he slept in the depth of his worries, only waking up to depression.
Uche didn't know what to do.
He was trying his best to stay away from the world as possible, hide himself while living a peaceful live, but now, the organ trafficking gangs are on his back, and sooner or later, he would be revealed to the world. Not only that, but a serial killer also has one of his eyes, making him share sight with the psycho.
That's just too.... incredible.
Uche would've love leaving the city as soon as possible, but sharing his sight with a gruesome killer is not something he wants to live with. If he couldn't get his eye back, he at least wished for the bastard to get caught or worse, be killed, so he could flee peacefully.
With his worry haunting him down, Uche decided to find more information about the corpse art case, searching for any cue that could lead him to the killer.
He hopped on to his computer, and began typing away, in search of any updates on the corpse art, but going through the internet with his eyes staring at the computer screen, focused till his eyes started watering, Uche found nothing. There's no new updates on the corpse art apart from the woman's statue, and several comments that were delivered on the post.
Still not willing to give up even after his eyes started getting hurt due to staring at the screen too much, he decided to go through each of the comments that were laid under the post. And finally, after several hours of reading the critics comments, and several admiration of the artwork, Uche finally found something.
He spotted something that people did not pay much attention to, and perhaps if the public gaze was directed at it, the world will be in chaos, and a protest might arise.
Uche took his time to go through this particular comment that people seemed to overlooked, there wasn't much engagement under the comment. Even he was surprised after seeing the comment.
Someone had deliberately brought out the symbol that was seen on the woman's statue online, the person made sure to zoom it clearly and post as a comment under the corpse Art article. The symbol of a one sided hammer crossing over a spanner, and just beside it were several similar images, almost the same but the only difference is that there seemed to be a strange human skull design, atop the hammer and spanner.
And just below it, the person wrote; *This symbols, didn't they look similar?*
That's what the person caption the images.
Uche didn't know if people had knowingly ignore this post or they just didn't see it as there's little to no engagement under this comment. Although, to some people, it might just look like several images that looks similar to the one on the woman's statue, but Uche knew better, and a few other people did as well.
"But the government claimed he was caught and killed."
Uche mumbled.
The symbol of a one sided hammer crossing over a spanner with a human skull on it, was a symbol that belongs to a notorious serial killer several years ago.
A serial killer that wields death as a weapon, a very dangerous killer that people only see the after effect of his work, nobody ever get to see what he looks like, he was invisible and invincible.
He had no special pattern in his act, almost as if he kill for fun, several influential people, several unknown people, countless men and women, including children fell to him. No pattern in his act, he's unpredictable. The only thing that made people recognize his appearance is that strange symbol he left on his victim after killing them.
The cops chase him for several years but was never caught, not even his identity was revealed.
And he had been given several names back then, but was popularly known as Snowflake due to his unique trait and his unpredictable moves. Wherever those symbols had been left, means Snowflake had once been there.
Until he disappeared couples years ago, nobody saw his symbol again and no several death was recorded anymore. The government had claimed he had been executed a year after his disappearance, only to appeared now.
The world haven't learned about that fact yet, but Uche knew sooner or later, Uche knew everyone will eventually learned that Snowflake had returned, just like they would know about him someday.
"Damn, why must it be this bastard."
Suddenly, Uche felt the familiar unwelcomed feeling in his empty eye socket again, he immediately knew what it means and did his best to endured the fleeting pain which turned into a vision a couple seconds later.
