Chapter 54: 2 Against 1
Uche had been very determined in the martial arts weekly duel, although he had somehow gotten among the top five students who will be on the special quests with the year 2 students, he isn't satisfied.
Not that Uche is planning on winning the final and being the top student in the martial arts class, but he at least wants to show his capabilities to the class so no one will ever make him a victim again.
And because of that, Uche had been training so hard. The martial arts studies that Mira sent him are what helped him the most, and because of that, he could confidently challenge both Elion and Damon to a 2 vs 1 duel. Uche didn't know if he could defeat the two of them, but it doesn't matter much, because he would at least be able to show them what he's got.
Also, Uche had another plan, if he couldn't defeat them, then he'd just have to survive till the time limit, and then all three of them would be automatically disqualified.
"Come on, make this more interesting."
Uche shouted, avoiding a roundhouse kick before throwing a punch toward the boy's chest, but he did well to avoid it.
Elion was already upon him at that moment, throwing a rain of fists at him. Uche avoided them all by moving back, then he did a backflip and threw a kick with it at Elion, sending him back to Damon.
The other students in the crowd couldn't help but gasp as they watched the match unfold.
"He's definitely going up against the two of them."
"And it doesn't seem like he's going to lose."
"Can't believe I've been calling him trash all this while when he's actually this strong."
"No wonder Eric had become his follower, maybe he'd already taught him a lesson."
The students couldn't hide their surprise, both Elion and Damon are among the best students in the martial arts class, and for them to make it to this stage of the tournament says a lot. But Uche is going against both of them, and it doesn't look like they're going to defeat him, at least not so easily.
None of them have even laid a hand on him yet, while he had dropped a few punches on Elion.
"You weaklings, show me all you've got."
Uche said, seeing both Elion and Damon stand against him, thinking of their best move.
"You bastard, you dare to call me a weakling."
Elion shouted, charging at him again.
"It's been five minutes now, and I can't believe none of them have been able to hurt him."
Marcus muttered under his breath, watching with absolute disbelief on his face.
"That just shows how weak they both are,"
Anna responded with an unimpressed expression on her face.
What they didn't know is that most sessions of Uche's training had been to protect himself from getting hurt, to keep his enemies' hands off him while hurting the enemy himself. That's most of the studies Mira had sent him, and Uche had made good use of it.
"You think this is funny, huh? You're just getting lucky."
Elion said, still charging toward Uche with a sharp knee aimed at Uche's ribs. Damon followed from the right, swinging a heavy hook.
Uche ducked low, blocking the knee with his forearm and using his other hand to push Elion's leg sideways, breaking his balance. Then he twisted his waist sharply, slamming his elbow into Damon's abdomen before spinning and landing a clean roundhouse kick to Elion's jaw. Both boys stumbled backward almost simultaneously.
The crowd erupted.
"Did he just do that?"
"He's literally controlling both of them at once."
"This boy, what is he?"
Even Marcus couldn't hold his smirk anymore.
"He's good."
Uche smiled. Now everyone's starting to see what he's capable of, he won't have to live in fear or be someone's victim and the trash of the school. He would be able to live as he likes, nobody will challenge him. He just needs to survive the next five minutes.
Elion and Damon exchanged glances, both breathing hard. They're not tired, only frustrated and angry. How can this trash make them feel useless like this? It's getting on both their nerves.
But then they realized their mistake, they're not working together to take him out. They're attacking recklessly, and that's what's affecting them.
Elion threw a quick glance at Damon and said,
"Let's work together to finish him up. We need to attack him at once with a good plan."
"Well, well, you've finally dropped your alter ego and come to your senses,"
Damon replied. He had been trying to do exactly what Elion just said, trying to charge with Elion and attack him together, but Elion always messed it up and got in his way, and that's what's killing them.
"Well then, let's finish him together,"
Damon whispered.
Both charged at him again, but this time, their movements were faster, more coordinated. Uche's eyes widened as they came from opposite directions, their fists and legs like a storm closing in on him.
He blocked one strike but took a hit from the other; his shoulder screamed in pain as Elion's kick landed squarely on him, knocking him slightly off balance. The crowd gasped. Damon followed immediately with a spinning heel kick, but Uche twisted his body and let it slide past, countering with a sudden sweep that dropped Damon hard to the floor.
Before Elion could react, Uche launched himself forward, grabbing Elion's wrist mid-strike and flipping him over his back with a clean shoulder throw. Both opponents hit the ground almost at the same time.
Silence filled the room for a few seconds, broken only by the echo of their fall.
Uche straightened up slowly, chest heaving.
"I think I should finish you guys up now,"
he said quietly, his voice low but sharp.
Damon was already getting on his feet, but in the next moment, Uche was right in front of him. He threw a punch right to his face, but the boy avoided it immediately by moving his head to the side, then he threw a punch of his own to Uche's ribcage.
Uche caught his hand, twisted it roughly as he turned around, then threw a punch with his left hand to the boy's face, his nose breaking in the process.
Elion was already on his feet at that moment, and he's coming at him with full force. Seeing this, Uche raised Damon up with both hands and threw him straight at Elion. The boy avoided it by sidestepping to the side, but then Uche was right in front of them.
He threw a punch to his face, his nose breaking right away before sending him flying back with a crescent kick to his chest.
Both of them were down for the moment, and neither stood up immediately.
Damon groaned and tried to push himself up, but his arm trembled and gave in. Uche had twisted it in a strange way that had possibly broken his bone in the process, so he needs some time to heal. Elion, on the other hand, just lay there, panting heavily — his pride more bruised than his body.
"Three minutes left."
Mr. Richard's voice echoed through the training room, and as Uche looked at the digital wall clock, he realized they'd already spent about seven minutes in the ring.
"Let's get this done right away. Now, who should I start with?"
Uche muttered, his gaze moving between Elion and Damon. He had already found a way to end the match without getting eliminated with them, so he wondered who he should start with.
His gaze lingered on Elion for a couple of seconds before smiling and moving toward him.
"Right."
He muttered, getting in front of the helpless boy within a second.
"Now, shall we start?"
Uche said, throwing a heavy punch at his face once again, then threw another one to his eyes, cold blood covering the boy's face. He then held his arm and twisted it again; a cracking sound could be heard as Elion screamed in pain.
He repeated what he did to Eric the other night, breaking all his fingers. He couldn't wait for it to heal and break it again as time was running out, and also Damon was already getting up behind him, so he broke all his fingers, his arm, and stepped on his knees, also breaking his kneecap.
"It'll be better if you just give up now,"
he muttered as he stood up, turning around to meet Damon.
"This shouldn't be allowed, it's too much."
"How can he be this cruel?"
"This guy is a monster."
"He's gone too far."
The crowd couldn't keep quiet as they watched Uche break every bone in Elion's body.
"Let him feel the pain too,"
Eric muttered from where he was sitting at the back.
Seeing what Uche had done to Elion, Damon was visibly shaking as Uche walked up to him, cold sweat rolling down his face as the boy slowly approached.
"Ah, I thought you were a tough guy. So you're no more than this,"
Uche said, seeing the boy visibly shaking.
"I give up! I give up!"
Damon shouted, raising his hand as cold sweat rolled down his face.
"Now that's more like it,"
Uche muttered, then he turned back around to Elion.
"Now let's get back to you."
But Uche couldn't see Elion where he had left him again m, the boy had disappeared.
"I'm not giving up!!!"
A voice shouted from behind him, and when Uche turned to look who it was, Elion's fist hit him right in the face, sending him flying back to the edge of the ring, blood gushing out of his nose.
Then the boy moved closer to him, stretched out his torn fingers, and shouted,
"Multiple Blood Bullets."
Coming out from each of his fingers was what could only be described as bullets red in color, as they were clearly made of blood all, aimed at Uche.
