I instinctively looked up to see a bird in the sky, as big as an airplane. It was unmistakably a Roc Bird. I certainly didn’t want to encounter more of these creatures.
“Kaahhh!” the Roc Bird screeched, clearly angered by our proximity to its nest.
The party experienced in outdoor combat seemed more familiar with such situations. “Everyone, move to an open area and keep your distance!” they commanded, knowing the danger of staying clustered together.
However, the bird was much faster, diving down rapidly.
One of our companions was blown away by the bird’s dive.
Its wings flapped powerfully, making it difficult to approach.
“This is tough. I can find nests, but I can’t beat a Roc Bird…” Richard admitted his limitations. Indeed, defeating such a creature would require taming a dragon.
“Master! Retreat for now! We’re at a disadvantage here!” Misha’s advice made sense – charging in with a sword seemed futile against a bird’s attack.

Focused on chasing Lena, the bird paid little attention to Misha. “Come over here!” Misha exclaimed, but the bird remained fixated on Lena.
