Cheat na Kaineko no Okage de Rakuraku Level Up

Chapter 52

When I woke up that day, there was an incredibly large dog in the living room.

“Whoa! What’s this!?”

“Master, it’s me, it’s me.”

“Oh, right, it’s Lena…”

I was startled because Lena rarely transforms into her beast form, unlike Misha.

“I thought I’d change into this form for a change. As a Lycanthrope, staying too far from my wolf form can make transforming difficult.”

“So, the Lycanthrope’s true form is more beast-like, huh?”

That’s the opposite of Misha, whose primary form is a cat.

Misha often turns into a cat at home, probably because being in her beastfolk form is tiring.

“I feel like walking around town in this form today.”

“No way. You’re not just a cute pet dog, you’re a wolf.”

Lena is, after all, a wolf. If she were to walk around town like this, it would scare people.

“I’ve heard about the plan.”

Suddenly, Verdonna appeared out of nowhere.

“Stop appearing without any warning! It startles me!”

“Apologies. It’s a habit from my assassin days to erase my presence.”

I wished she wouldn’t bring her assassin skills into everyday life.

“How about I walk the pet wolf? That wouldn’t scare people, would it?”

“That’s a good idea… but are you okay with that?”

“Okay with what?”

I wasn’t sure if Verdonna was playing dumb or genuinely didn’t understand.

“Well, you’re walking the daughter of the house you serve as a dog…”

I wondered if that was okay in terms of their master-servant relationship.

“I don’t mind. In Lycanthrope culture, when in beast form, we behave as beasts.”

“―That’s the case,” Verdonna confirmed.

Well, if they both agreed, it was fine.

Then Misha, in her cat form, joined us.

“I’m in charge of lunch today. I was planning to go shopping, but why don’t we walk the dog together?”

So, we all went for a walk together, albeit a rather unusual one.

Verdonna held Lena, in her wolf form, on a leash, and Misha, as a black cat, rode on Lena’s back.

I followed them from behind.

Right after we started walking,

“Wow, what a big dog!”

“A cat is riding on it! Cute!”

People were intrigued.

Indeed, a cat on a dog was quite a sight.

We then went to the market to buy vegetables, sausages, and ham for lunch.

Lena seemed to enjoy the walk, even though she couldn’t speak in her dog form.

“Enjoying yourself, Lena?”

She nodded enthusiastically.

She must be having fun.
