I’m fully capable as an adventurer. There’s absolutely no shame in this status.
However, as an A-rank adventurer, there are some uncertainties. Among the currently registered A-rank adventurers, there are those at Lv 28. The lowest is at Lv 22. So, I’m barely making it into A-rank.
Of course, I didn’t fight with the aim of becoming an A-rank adventurer, but there’s still the desire to step up one more level.
So, Misha and I decided to dive deep into the dungeon, aiming for the 30th floor underground.
The deepest anyone has gone is the 30th floor. If I can get there and fight without issues, that would make me a top-tier adventurer. If I go deeper, it’d be uncharted territory.
However, as Misha says, “Even if you reach the 31st floor, it’s too dangerous.”
Indeed, diving into an unknown area is a risk you can’t hedge against.
The monsters on the 30th floor were formidable, to say the least.
I ended up fighting creatures that were more like demons, with wings and scythes. I struggled in a one-on-one battle. This is expected; you generally need to be around Lv 30 to handle this floor. I’m fine thanks to Misha’s healing support.
“Lesser Demon, huh? They are quite high-ranking, so stay alert.”
“I don’t have the luxury to let my guard down!”
With Misha’s support, I keep defeating the enemies.
It was tough, but the experience from the tournament seemed to help, allowing me to take down enemies effectively.
“I knew it,” Misha said cheerfully after the battle.
“Knew what?”
“Thanks to the tournament, you’ve learned how to fight seriously. This is huge.”
“I think so too.”
I’ve honed my skills on how to fight against equally matched opponents.
So, I don’t fall behind.
It’s not just about higher numbers. I can stand my ground as an A-rank adventurer.
By the way, the 30th floor isn’t a cave-like space. It appears to be the remains of some ceremonial area, perhaps related to an ancient civilization or demons. We also found the stairs to the 31st floor, but I’m not yet ready for that.
“You’ll definitely be able to go deeper, Master. For now, let’s be content here.”
“I get it. I’ll become strong enough to go down there alone.”
I continue to defeat enemies one by one. I almost got put to sleep by a giant turtle monster that exhaled a sleeping breath, but I was able to resist falling completely asleep.
The more focused you are, the less sleep affects you, it seems.
“Master! Are you alright?” Misha starts to rush over to help.
I wave my hand slightly to signal that I’m fine.
I got hit by its tail but quickly got up. My body has really gotten used to combat.
And then I thrust my sword between its shell and flesh.
The turtle monster lets out a cry and stretches its neck.
I sever the neck completely.
“Master, you’ve really become strong.”
“Yeah, I can feel it too.”
Thanks to several days of fighting on this 30th floor, my level also increased.

“Any way you look at it, you’re a top-tier adventurer,” Misha hugs me as if rewarding me. We’re still on the 30th floor, though.
“This is all thanks to you, Misha.”
“It’s the result of your efforts, Master.”
“A little more effort, and I might become the strongest adventurer in this country. Well, the real strongest would be Misha, of course.”
“That’s a good goal.”
When we returned to the mansion, Lena’s eyes widened.
“Master, you’ve become so much more formidable.”
“My Master is something to brag about,” Misha said proudly.
Well, the A-rank promotion exam is just two days away.
