Chapter 11: Encounter With a Goddess

"Be careful, kid. The world is far more dangerous than you think," the innkeeper warned, his face unusually serious.

"I'll keep that in mind," John replied calmly.

The innkeeper let out a hearty laugh, bidding John goodbye. John waved in return, disappearing amidst the bustling crowd.

East Gate

John strode toward the city's eastern gate, passing through without a backward glance.

On the highest balcony of the castle, a girl sat cross-legged on a luxurious chair, sipping tea. Her gothic dress, though modest, accentuated her flawless, well-endowed figure. A delicate veil concealed her face, but even hidden, her beauty radiated. Her long white hair flowed like silk, cascading to her knees, and her crimson eyes, hidden beneath the veil, shimmered with an otherworldly allure.

Those piercing eyes focused on the eastern gate, where a lone figure walked. Her lips curved into a gentle, captivating smile as she whispered, "Welcome back, husband."

John walked through the vast grasslands, heading east toward where he had left Grek. The cold breeze rustled the tall grass, tugging gently at his hair and clothes. Behind him, the town of Cot grew smaller and smaller in the distance.

Humming a tune softly, John enjoyed the serene atmosphere—until a piercing scream shattered the tranquility.

"Help! Help me!"

John's eyes shot upward toward the sky. There, a massive white eagle soared, its talons gripping a struggling girl. Squinting, he focused on the scene and sighed.

"I just arrived in this world, and fate is already playing matchmaker."

John vanished from his spot, reappearing mid-air above the eagle. In one swift motion, the girl was in his arms, carried like a princess.

The eagle screeched, realizing its prey had vanished. Its sharp gaze fixed on John, who now floated in the air with the girl.

With a furious cry, the eagle lunged at John, its talons poised to tear him apart. But John vanished again, reappearing on the ground far below.

Placing the girl down gently, he smiled reassuringly. "Wait here, miss. I'll handle this."

Before she could respond, John disappeared once more, reappearing high above the eagle. With a single, devastating punch, he sent the massive bird hurtling toward the ground.

BOOM!

The eagle's body slammed into the earth, creating a crater and sending dust and debris into the air. As the dust settled, the lifeless form of the creature lay at the center of the impact.

John reappeared near the girl.

"Impressive, mortal," a melodious voice rang out.

John turned to see a breathtaking figure approaching, her hand resting confidently on her hip.

Not bad, John thought, appreciating her striking appearance. Though he recognized her instantly, he decided to feign ignorance to avoid complications.

The girl's golden hair cascaded to her waist, each strand shimmering as if woven from sunlight. Her radiant eyes sparkled, captivating anyone who met her gaze.

Her attire struck a perfect balance between elegance and sensuality. A white bra-like top, adorned with golden ribbons, complemented her flawless curves. A pink silk cloth wrapped artfully around her waist, leaving her skin tastefully exposed. Green gemstones decorated her chest and waist, glinting like stars.

A necklace with a mesmerizing blue gemstone hung around her neck, and fan-shaped earrings swayed gently at her ears. Her outfit resembled the attire of Middle Eastern dancers from ancient Earth—a nostalgic reminder of John's home world.

"What's the matter, mortal? Are you mesmerized by my beauty? That's normal. After all, you stand before one of the three goddesses of beauty—Aphrodite," she declared proudly, flicking her golden hair.

She smiled smugly, basking in her self-proclaimed grandeur.

John smirked, kneeling on one knee as he reached for her hand. With a charming smile, he said, "Become one of my wives."

A heavy silence fell between them.

Aphrodite's face turned scarlet, her confident demeanor crumbling under the weight of her embarrassment. John, however, remained calm, his gaze steady and unwavering.
