Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 5. Chapter 9: Technically, This is Still Training… (Chapter 410.)

Chapter 9: Technically, This is Still Training…

(Celia’s POV)

Though I had learned how to see the strings, Sava wanted to make sure that I could do it consistently, and without losing the ability to do so. As such, we took a few more days just training that, and not the other, hopefully, final part of it.

Sava: “Okay, this ability seems to have fully stuck with you, Celia. Good job!” She praised.

By this point, Sava had started to show her full range of emotions and facial expressions. Frankly, she was somewhat similar to how I first met her, just not crazy seeming. Which, as you would expect, is very good.

Celia: “Great… Now you just have to teach me how to cut them, right?” I assume.

Sava: “That’s right! Though, I will warn you that this will be harder to learn.” She answered.

Celia: “How much harder will it be?” I reply with a head tilt.

Sava: “Again, it is impossible to say for sure. We just have to train until you do learn it, Celia.” She replied with an unsure tone before snapping her fingers.

At her finger snap, ten monsters showed up on the water. Above their heads were those angelic strings. For each being, the strings were different, and that is what Sava is showcasing here. The monsters were different kinds, from small frogs, up to giant pig monsters that walked on two legs.

Sava: “Depending on how smart and strong the being is, stronger strings must be used. Of course, the strings on your remaining family members are weak, but it is still a good idea to be able for you to cut the strongest kind of strings.” She explained.

Celia: “So… how do I cut them?” I ask, taking a sword out of my inventory.

Sava: “Why don’t you try to cut them with that sword of yours?” She suggested.

Slash!

Cut!

Regardless of how much force I used, or at what angle I cut at, the strings were all unharmed. Even the tiniest ones that controlled a small frog were still uncut. How the hell am I supposed to cut them!? Though, I guess this does make sense in a way.

If anyone without any training could cut these strings, then they’d be cut randomly from time to time. That being the case, is there some specific way to cut them? Mother of mine, please explain!

Sava: “Haha, it was so funny to watch you try and cut those strings, fully in vain.” She said with a laugh.

Celia: “…”

Hey! I asked for answers, not for you to laugh at me like this! That’s it, you’re my least loved mother! Or not? Shit… this damn domain of mine… Can I even hate a woman at all? What does a woman have to do to earn my hatred…

Celia: “Are you just going to continue to laugh, or actually tell me how to cut them?” I ask with a slightly annoyed tone.

Sava: “Ah, you’re so cute when upset! Actually… you’re just cute 100% of the time, Celia!” She praised with a motherly tone, rubbing my pouting head.

Celia: “…”

Girl, I am an adult!… Ah, wait… Yeah, never mind. To most of my family, I am still very young. So I just have to deal with them treating me like a child from time to time. Eh, it isn’t the worst thing to go through; I guess.

Sava: “To cut those strings, as they’re holy, you must use your Divinity.” She finally answered.

Celia: “I just only recently learned how to store my Divinity, which gave me a bomb in the way of a halo… Now you want me to use it?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Sava: “The halo is illegal, but using your Divinity isn’t, silly girl. Now, focus your Divinity on your sword. It won’t work at first, so keep trying until it finally does.” She proposed.

Celia: “Okay, I’ll try.” I say with a nod.

Holding my sword with both hands, I tried to channel my Divinity into it. Trying over and over again, the sword was just the same as before I started. Damn… don’t tell me that this is yet another thing that will take a while to learn!!!

A While to Learn (A few Hours.) Later.

With some luck, I was finally able to place some of my Divinity onto my sword. Swinging it around, I felt very happy. The Divinity stayed on the sword, and it was nice to learn yet another new thing. Frankly, I should be moving away from using the System, and training with Sava might be the first step in doing that. Actually, I asked her about this, as well.

Sava: “The System is useful, so do please keep using it. After all, the way that you’ll purchase items, and take part in the game, is through a System.” She informed.

Celia: “What!?” I exclaim in shock.

Sava: “Your surprise is expected, but every universe has a System. The Will of our original universe was picky, though. Which was why I was the one who had to make the damn thing for everyone.” She said with a groan.

Celia: “…”

Ignoring her serious words, I went back to trying to cut those damn strings.

Cut!

Slash!

Sava: “Wow! Good job!” She praised.

This time, like I was cutting through butter, the weakest strings were cut to pieces in just one strike. Though, the stronger ones had required me to hack away at them for a bit. Hm… at least it took less than a day to be able to do this. Now, before going straight ahead to training, I should learn how to cut the strongest strings!

Sava: “Celia, rarely are strings this strong used, so you really don’t have to learn how to cut them in one go. In reality, the fact that you can cut them at all… is very impressive itself.” She informed.

Celia: “But I feel like I need to be able to do the same to the strongest strings… What if I am ever in a fight with someone that is being controlled?” I reply with a serious tone.

Sava: “I see your point… Then, do please keep practicing it to your liking.” She said with a smile.

Clap!

Clapping her hands, she made thousands of those pig monsters appear, all with the strongest strings attached to them. Ah, Mother is giving me such an easy time… I must praise her after our training is fully finished! But before that, I shall tend to the cutting of these evil strings. Why am I excited about this?…
