Chapter 75: A War is Brewing…
(Celia’s POV)
Faith: “A Guild Battle?” She repeated.
June: “Yes, that was what was issued to us.” She replied with a nod.
Celia: “How should we respond?” I ask.
June: “We should just destroy them. We will get a lot of rewards for doing so, and we can even get points that give us a better score in the game.” She answered.
Since June was the vice president of my guild, she was woken up by the guild battle notification, as well. The System doesn’t tell you which dimension that you are in, but it does say what dimension a guild is headquartered in.
The guild, Charlie’s Champions, was the one who issued the battle. They were also headquartered in this dimension, so them wanting to overtake us made some sense.
I mean, what didn’t make sense… is why they would dare to challenge us in the first place. They’re rank 4,974,731, while our guild is still ranked the first.
Lia: “Why would they challenge us?” She asked with a confused tone.
Celia: “Why don’t we just ask them?” I suggest.
Taking to the System, I messaged Charlie, who was the guild leader of the guild that had challenged us to a fight. Soon, he gave me a reply.
Charlie: “The rank of your guild is clearly bullshit! But you might have some good resources in your guild, and that’s why your rank is bugged, which we would very much like to have.”
Celia: “…”
Charlie: “By default, the game isn’t fair. If you do not accept our declared Guild Battle, then you automatically lose the game.”
Celia: “Fine, I accept. But do know, this will be your swift downfall.”
Charlie: “Great! I love a woman who doesn’t back down at all.”
Celia: “…”
Charlie: “How should we do this? In fairness to your guild, I think that only our three champions should fight. That includes me, and two others. How about that?”
Celia: “Sure, I do not mind.”
Charlie: “Alright, then we shall meet at the destroyed kingdom to the left of Lem.”
That was the last thing that he said before he closed the chat. Oh, yeah. One of those two kingdoms? Silly man isn’t even aware that I was the one who destroyed them…
June: “Celia and I should be the ones to go, but who will be the third?” She asked with a serious tone.
Celia: “Not Lia. She doesn’t wish to do any fighting, and I will not go against her wishes.” I reply.
Lia: “…” Her face was red, and she was slightly embarrassed, but she didn’t voice any rejection of me not asking her to fight.
June: “Hm… okay. Then just us two should go. Given how that group will surely be very weak, Celia and I should be more than enough to deal with them.” She said with a confident tone.
With a nod, the plan was agreed upon. Sure, there were countless other strong women in our guild, but I didn’t wish for them to fight either. They should only fight if needed, and this is something that we two can easily handle. The plan was okay, but I changed the arrangement of the Guild Battle…
