Chapter 8: Chapter 8.
That was, that was definitely an experience… I didn't hate it though, that's for sure.
As I made my way to my next class, I figured that Tomoko was definitely going to get punished for her actions.
Maybe some spankings?… No, she'd probably like that. Scratch that, remembering last night, she'd definitely like that. So it wouldn't be much of a punishment, now would it?
And I didn't really want to encourage that sort of teasing, at least not in public.
Neglect play? Maybe, but then again she's an absolute degenerate and would probably cum from ignoring her. Or get really pouty and double down. I never really know with her.
Damn, she really just hard counters everything I could pull with her sheer degeneracy, doesn't she?
…Why is it so damn hard to punish my unruly tiny sex gremlin of a little sister?
Eventually making my way to the class, I saw that I had… Physical Education. Oh, what joy.
As I walked into the gym, though. I heard the sound of something tearing, causing my good mood to plummet somewhat.
But I decided not to focus on that, as I figured it would be best to just focus on my latest class.
I ended up lining up with the rest of the class, watching as the new gym teacher walked out.
She was a rather tall woman with an incredibly muscular build, long orange hair, and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a sports bra and some rather tight fitting pants.
Looking beside me, I noticed that several of the other guys in the class looked a lot more excited for the class.
Though, I was rather curious as to why we had gotten this new teacher. Had something happened to the old P.E Teacher? Maybe she retired or something?
"Alright class, my name is Mizuki Sensei, I may be new here but I hope to give this my best shot!" The new teacher, Mizuki Sensei announced with a small grin, "Now I want you all to get changed into your gym uniforms, we're going on a run today!"
I heard some cheers from the other guys, as everyone made their way to the changing rooms.
Opening my locker, I quickly got changed out of my school clothes andshoes before placing them inside of the locker, and getting into my gym uniform.
It was just a simple white shirt and shorts, but I felt that they didn't really restrict my movement all that much.
As I finished putting the clothes on though, I heard yet another tearing sound, causing me to clench my fist slightly.
This was just getting annoying at this point.
With that done, I put my gym shoes on and walked out to see several other students had already gotten changed.
Knowing that it would take a little while longer for some of my… slower classmates to come out, I figured it'd be a good idea to chat with someone and pass the time.
I could see both Gremory-san and Himejima-san were chatting with each other, the two Beauties of Kuoh were rather good friends from what I'd heard.
Looking elsewhere, I saw both Shitori-san and Shinra-san talking with each other while also looking towards me.
And then I noticed that Abe-san was just… staring at me, watching me like a predator stalking their prey.
Quickly trying to look literally anywhere else, I saw the only other person who was currently out, Satonaka-san. Who was mostly standing by herself, waiting for somebody else to come out.
Well, there was one other person, that being Mizuki Sensei who was doing a small warm up exercise before the run, stretching her limbs in anticipation.
After a few moments of thought, I eventually decided to go up to Satonaka-san.
Mostly because if I remember correctly, she was the head of the Martial Arts Club. An entire club for people who are interested in various different martial arts.
…It was made purely because there were too many clubs for various martial arts and there wasn't enough room in the academy. So they all share a fairly large clubroom together.
And as the head of that sort of club, she must have been a really good martial artist… or just really damn good at administrative duties. But either way, maybe she could help me figure out a sort of fighting style?
I don't really have a lot of magical abilities to rely on at the moment, so maybe by getting physically stronger, I would be able to survive in this terrifying world.
Father Anderson was a bit of a wake up call for me, he might have been friendly, but… he could have killed me at any moment. And that's fucking horrifying.
"Hello, Satonaka-san," I said with a smile, as I walked over to her, causing her to glance up at me.
Satonaka Chie was a rather pretty girl, in a tomboyish sort of way. She had short brown hair and similarly colored eyes, and usually wore a green and yellow tracksuit jacket with the Kuoh Academy skirt. It's gotten her in trouble, but she always made a point to wear the uniform underneath, so she wasn't technically breaking any rules. But right now she was wearing the gym uniform.
"Ah, hi there… Hyoudou-san?" She asked after a moment, seemingly unsure of my surname, but she got it right so I just nodded, "Uh what do you want?"
"I was just uh, wondering if you'd be able to help me figure out a good martial art to use? I've been wanting to learn how to defend myself" I said rather hesitantly, causing her to perk up.
"Oh? Well, that's great to hear, man! Alright, let's get a look at you!" She said happily, before quickly looking at my body, "Hmm…"
"Is, is something wrong?" I asked, causing her to shrug as her eyes roamed over my body, I felt like I should cover up or something. But I was already used to Tomoko's roaming eyes, so it wasn't an unfamiliar feeling.
"Well… your upper body's kind of, well uh noodly," Satonaka-san said after a moment, causing me to wilt a bit, "But your lower body? Damn man, what's your workout routine? Because I can practically feel how tough those muscles are"
"Oh uh, thanks I guess? I don't really have much of a workout routine, this is just from light exercise" I said haltingly, not really wanting to even imply anything about my magic.
She stared at me for a moment, looking at me unbelievingly, before shrugging and giving me a perky smile.
"Damn, you must be some sort of freak- uh in a good way that is. Anyway, your legs look great. I'd recommend doing some upper body exercises, and maybe learning something like kickboxing? Maybe something more acrobatic?" She told me after a moment before placing a hand on her chin, "Oh, maybe Muay Thai? Well at least some sort of variant that just uses your legs, because your arms would probably break if you tried to elbow someone…"
"Oh, uh that sounds good. Does anyone in the club know kickboxing or… Muay Thai?" I asked, causing her to shake her head.
"No, not really. I mean, I know the bare basics, but that's about it… it's mostly Karate, Judo, and that sort of stuff. Boring I know, but most of the people are" Satonaka-san said with a small sigh, as she leaned against a wall, "Well there's Rock-san, but uh. I won't subject you to her, I'm not that evil"
"Do you think you'd be willing to teach me, then? Uh, I- I mean if you're willing to, that is…" I asked, before my mind registered just what I was saying, and I quickly tried to backtrack.
There was a very slight tinge of pink to her face, as I said that. But that could have just been a trick of the light.
"Uh, well maybe? Are you willing to give up that workout routine?" She asked, clicking her tongue when I shook my head, "Drat. I'll get that from you someday… but how about this? You pay me, uh let's say 10,000 Yen and I'll teach you? Does that sound good? But uh remember, I only really know the basics"
That… that wasn't a lot, I could definitely pay that for some lessons. And it's not like I could judge her for wanting to be paid for that sort of stuff.
"Yeah, yeah that sounds good," I said with a small smile, as she gave me a happy grin.
"Right, cool! If you ever want lessons, you can find me at the Martial Arts Club most of the time. Now, uh I think I see Amagi-chan coming, could you uh… scoot over?" She asked after a moment, so I just nodded and walked away.
I then watched as her friend walked over to her, and the two started talking with each other.
Amagi Yukiko was a rather pretty if introverted girl who had long black hair, and a rather reserved aura about her, she usually wore a red headband, along with red trimmed glass, along with the Kuoh Academy Uniform.
Well, that's what she usually wore, but right now she was in her gym uniform.
Her family owned one of the local inns, a rather high class establishment that had earned her family quite a bit of wealth.
As I walked away though, I could hear the two girls giggling, causing me to turn around and see that they were looking at me.
Then Amagi-san said something, causing Satonaka-san to blush a bit, and slap her on the shoulder.
I had no idea what they were talking about, but they seemed to be talking about me. Hopefully, it wasn't anything rude.
But I didn't have time to focus on that, as everyone else came out in their gym uniforms and Mizuki Sensei led us all out to go on a run.
So with that in mind, I took a rather deep breath and got ready for the run.
With that, I and the rest of my class walked out of the gym, and onto a small track field that was made for this exact sort of thing.
"Alright now, I want to get a good baseline for your endurance. So don't blow your load too quickly, or else you'll end up passing out exhausted," Mizuki Sensei said with a grin, causing a couple of the other boys and girls to blush a bit, "Now, I'll run alongside you. But don't worry about trying to keep up with me, just set your own pace"
With that said, she damn near vanished from my sight, as she ran along the track line. She... she was almost as fast as Father Anderson.
I quickly followed after her, jogging at a rather leisurely pace, as the other students followed suit.
It only took around ten minutes for the first student to drop to the ground, and Mizuki Sensei to stop her run to help them back to a chair with a bottle of water.
During this, I'd been pretty close to the top of the class, with only a single drop of sweat coming down my brow, while most of my classmates were already drenched.
Well, I say most, because Satonaka-san and Shinra-san were practically neck and neck, jogging side to side with almost no strain.
Though, I also noticed that Abe-san wasn't all that far behind them, a look of determination on her face, and just behind her were Himejima-san, Gremory-san, and Shitori-san surprisingly enough.
They were running at a sedate pace, but still doing far better than everyone else.
"Come on! Go! Go! I believe in you!" Mizuki Sensei announced cheerfully, as she ran yet another lap past the rest of the class.
"I can't take it anymore!" One classmate exclaimed, before collapsing onto his knees, a lot of exhaustion on his face.
"Oh dear, I'll bring you right to the benches, don't worry," Mizuki Sensei said, as she quickly ran over to the fallen student and carried him back to the benches, where several others were drinking water and watching.
Around twenty minutes later, almost everyone else had dropped out, including Himejima-san, Gremory-san, and Shitori-san who didn't look nearly as tired as they were acting.
Right now, the only ones left in this little endurance race were myself, Abe-san, Satonaka-san, Shinra-san… and of course, Mizuki Sensei, who was still running laps around the four of us.
But as I took another step, I felt a deluge of knowledge entering my mind…
Summoning Specialist Generic MG Control (200 CP)
Sometimes you just need backup. The summoner package allows for summoning or creating temporary allies. It starts at two allies just below your own power level, or a dozen weaker allies. At the start, you will have to micromanage them. Time and practice will raise the (absolute) power level of the summons, their numbers, and their ability to act independently.
Huh, it seemed like I was now able to summon things, little spirits made out of the concept of… sunlight?
I could summon either two of them around my own strength, or a dozen of them that were weaker, and I had to for some reason give them specific orders to get anything done, as they start off with practically no autonomy.
But it seemed that the more powerful I got, and the more that I used this summoning magic, the more they'd grow alongside me, in terms of strength, independence, and size limitation.
Maybe in the future, I could lead an entire army of these little guys? That could be pretty damn cool. Or maybe I could have a massive Sun Kaijuu?
I could already envision them in my head, little balls made out of sunlight for the smaller weaker ones, and giant goliaths over ten feet tall, glowing with a golden light as they scorched all those before them.
…Though I wasn't exactly sure that's what they looked like now, it was what I hoped they would look like. Because that would be badass as fuck.
But it looked like my momentary distraction had cost me, as I quickly found myself lagging behind the others.
"Ah, crap" I muttered to myself, as I picked up the pace, getting back to where I previously was, just behind Abe-san.
"What was happening there, Hyoudou-san? Getting tuckered out?" Abe-san said with a small grin, as she slowed down a bit until she was jogging beside me.
"No, no. Just a bit of a headache, nothing all too bad' I told her with a slight smile.
"Ah, alright. But if you need to take a break, I can take you back to the benches?" She asked with a very slight blush on her cheeks.
Damn, the run must have been getting to her if she was getting this physically exerted.
"Maybe you should head to the benches yourself?" I said after a moment, causing her to give me a little giggle, before she quickened the pace.
"Haha, no. I'm not letting you win that easily" Abe-san told me, before running far faster than she was before.
I didn't even think people were capable of going this fast… at least not without supernatural assistance.
After all, it was fairly obvious that Mizuki Sensei was one of those Devils, nobody was that beautiful and physically fit at the same time.
Father Anderson was one thing, that guy was terrifying… but he must have had some sort of magic that just made him faster. But I didn't think that my new P.E Sensei was a witch of any sort. She just didn't have that sort ov vibe.
So the only reasonable conclusion that I could come to, was her being some sort of Devil out to absorb the souls of the innocent.
Thankfully, I made sure to keep the cross on me at all times. Or else she may have taken my soul already.
Eventually, Abe-san started to fall behind, that surge of speed completely forgotten as she fell to the floor, exhausted.
"Don't worry Mizuki Sensei, I'll take her to the bench!" I said rather quickly, before the Devil could get her hands on the girl, as I crouched down and picked her up before placing her on the bench.
Then I remembered tha tI had just stopped running, so I guessed that I was basically out anyway… so I decided to just remain sitting on the bench.
I then grabbed a water bottle and took a sip out of it, before noticing a presence next to me.
Abe-san was looking up at me, her face rather flushed as she panted for breath, so I passed the water bottle over to her.
For some reason, the flush grew brighter as she stared at me for a moment, before taking a tentative sip of the bottle. Then she practically drained it dry with how fast she chugged it down.
I think that I might have heard her whispering about an 'indirect kiss' or something along those lines, but that was stupid stuff that was only in anime. So obviously I was suffering from heatstroke and was hearing things.
With our part over, the two of us watched as both Shinra-san and Satonaka-san raced each other, neck and neck for the entire time, even as their faces grew flushed, and sweat drenched their clothes.
Mizuki Sensei, the Devil that she was on the other hand, barely even looked winded.
Then I watched as both the girls ran with one last burst of speed… before collapsing to the ground at the exact same time.
After that, Mizuki Sensei quickly grabbed both girls and brought them back to the bench, and it seemed that class was over.
Good, I was honestly pretty tired… though probably not about to keel over any time soon.
So with that, I headed back to the showers, made sure that all of the sweat and grime was off of my body, and got changed back into my school clothes.
After that, I then heard the chime of a bell, and remembered that this was the last class of the day… why they decided to make us all exhausted before sending us home or to our clubs, I wouldn't know.
But I took a breath, and walked over to the Cooking Clubroom. It was time… to cook.
The Twin's Eyes Warhammer Fantasy: Orcs & Goblins Illusion (200 CP)
It is as if being so close to the powers of the greenskin gods is enough to unhinge a Shaman's mind. Without a doubt, Shamans are a bit mad, being prone to trances and sudden spasms of fitful dancing. This embarrassing behavior can cause scenes around the camp that are awkward at best. It is hard to ignore the kind of hooting and arm-waving employed by an Orc Shaman, but the battle-hardened, no-nonsense green-skinned warriors go to great lengths to do so. The sight of a Shaman hopping about a disgruntled Warboss is not unusual.
Such actions are naturally upsetting to a race that solves its problems with the application of swift and severe violence, but all Orcs know it is bad luck and dangerous to kick a Shaman. It isn't that a Shaman might leak green lightning bolts from his eyes (although that does happen); it is more that the superstitious greenskins are sure that Gork and Mork are watching. It is best not to abuse the favored of the gods, and so the Shaman's outlandish behavior is tolerated with a rare and unusual patience. Actions that are totally outside the norm for most would invite social stigma but for you these actions are seen as something that has to be grudgingly tolerated. While this won't let you get away with punching the Warboss in the face it will allow you to drape him in strings of pearls even the oddest pretenses.
While I was walking to the cooking clubroom, I felt a faint nudging in my skull.
And just like that, I figured that I had a new ability… this one was kind of weird.
It allowed me to do things with less social backlash. This new ability of mine would let me do more magical things, with less of a reaction.
Like, I could walk out with a sword, and people would more likely think it was a prop, at least until it was being used.
It's not like it was infallible after all, if I started attacking a bunch of people, they would notice.
But if I just did a faint little magical thing, they would rationalize it as me having some sort of device that would let me do that.
Basically, this ability of mine lets me get away with more shit than I should be able to. And that's about it.
A bit of a complex thing to try and put into words, but that's essentially what it did.
With that in mind though, I eventually reached the clubroom and opened the door… only to be met with a splatter of chocolate.
"Ah! Ryuuji-kun! Sorry about that!" Astolfo exclaimed, as he ran over to me, and I noticed that he was wearing the Kuoh Academy Uniform… the girl's uniform. Honestly, he pulled it off so well that if I didn't know any better? I'd assume that he was a girl.
"That's, uh alright," I said after taking a moment to wipe the chocolate off of my face, "Guess we're making desserts today?"
"Yep! Mama Sensei already told us that we're supposed to be making some sort of chocolate dessert, any ideas?" Astolfo asked, as I walked into the clubroom to see Ikumi scrawling through some sort of dessert cookbook.
"Why did it have to be desserts!?" I could hear her muttering to herself, as she flipped through the pages.
I also noticed that she was also wearing her Kuoh Academy uniform, maybe they just didn't have enough time to change?
But the shirt she was wearing was practically bursting at the seams due to her rather formidable bust size.
"Ugh, why is this shit so hard!?" She shouted out after several moments, looking like she was halfway to throwing the cookbook directly in my face, before pausing as she noticed me, "Ah hey there Ryuuji"
"Hey," I said, giving a sigh of relief when she set the book down, "So we should figure something out, right?"
"Yeah, it's supposed to be some sort of dessert to do with chocolate. But Mama Sensei went away to grab something really quickly, so we're supposed to figure it out by the time she gets back," Ikumi said with a sigh, "I have no idea what to do"
"I've already told you! Chocolate covered bananas and chocolate eclairs! It'll go great!" Astolfo said with a grin, as she- he looked over to me slyly, "What do you say, Ryuuji-kun? Do you want a chocolate covered banana?"
"…No, that just sounds unhygienic," I said after a moment, causing him to sigh.
"Aaah, fine… wanna fill my eclair? Eh? Eh!?" He said with a perverted looking face, as he nudged me with his elbow.
Already used to Tomoko's antics, I just ignored him after a moment, as I tried to figure out what would work best for a chocolate themed dessert.
"Fuck it, what about brownies? Do we have the stuff for that?" I asked, after a few minutes of thought.
"Ooh, those could be pretty good. Yeah, I think we have eggs… oh we've got butter too!" Astolfo said, as he rummaged through the fridge.
"We've got sugar and flour. Do we have cocoa powder, though?" Ikumi asked, as she looked through the cupboards.
I quickly helped them, and eventually found a bag of unopened cocoa powder from inside of a small drawer in the corner.
Butter, sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, all these five ingredients combined would make the perfect little brownies.
With that, I grabbed a metallic bowl, and a whisk and got to work on mixing all of the ingredients that we needed together.
Then I cracked a couple of eggs to act as a binding agent, and poured the contents into the brownie mix.
After I was done, I had a brown chocolatey goo inside of the bowl, that smelled just delicious.
"Alright, where's the tray?" I asked, causing Astolfo to quickly run over to the cupboards and…
Yep, he tripped over again, causing several small pots and pans to clatter out of the cupboard on top of him.
"Ah! Ow!" He cried out, as he rubbed his head, before taking a calming breath and going through the cupboard… and eventually came back up with a baking tray, "Here you go!"
"Thanks, Astolfo" I said with a small smile, as I took the tray from him and started to pour the brownie mix into it.
"Oh uh, it was nothing really. But if you do want to make it up to me?" He started, a small devious grin making its way to his face, "Then perhaps you'd be willing to take me on a da-"
Whatever he was going to say was cut off, when the doors Mama Sensei walked in.
"Ah, Ryuuji-kun! You're here! And are those brownies?" She asked, as she walked over to me, as I was in the middle of putting the tray in the preheated oven.
"Yeah, took a bit to decide but we figured brownies would be good enough" told her, as I put them in and closed the oven door.
"Great! I love that sort of initiative!" Mama Sensei said with a happy grin, as she looked into the oven, "It looks pretty good too! Great job you three"
So with that, we had… an hour to wait for the brownies to cook… and most of the stuff that I used was already cleaned up and put away courtesy of Ikumi, who made sure the bowls and spoons were scrubbed clean. So I had to go and do... uh something.
Eventually, I figured that it would be a good idea to talk with Mama Sensei, I was pretty curious as to why she had to leave so suddenly.
There could be a myriad of reasons as to why she had to leave before I entered, from her actually telling the truth and needing to grab something at the last minute, to her secretly being one of the Devils that control Kuoh.
I truly did hope that it wasn't the latter, as I did like Mama Sensei, and it'd almost crush me to know that she was some sort of demonic entity.
But as I was walking up to her, I noticed Astolfo standing in my path, deliberately bending down and giving me a smug little look.
He was wearing some rather simple white and pink striped panties that barely covered his ass, and he was swaying his lower body back and forth, it was honestly a rather enticing sight.
So, I leaned down a bit, made sure to get a good sight of my target. And then I reared my arm back before landing it on his ass cheek with a mighty smack.
"Ahn~" I heard Astolfo moan, as his legs shuddered, gripping onto the bench he was in front of before looking back at me with a flushed lewd look on his face, "Ooh… it's on"
But instead of continuing, I just ignored him, as I resumed walking up to Mama Sensei, causing Astolfo to squawk in indignation.
"Wha- hey! I thought we were gonna- damn it!" He groaned, as he rubbed his behind, my red handprint becoming rather prominent on his pale ass flesh.
Mama Sensei was crouched in front of the oven, watching as the brownies slowly but surely firmed up, solidifying from the mix into an actual cake-like substance.
"Hey uh sensei, I was kind of curious. Why did you have to go so suddenly?" I asked, causing her to look over to me.
"Ah, Ryuuji-kun. We were out of bread and cheese, so I went to get those real quick" Mama Sensei said with a smile, as she stood back up, gesturing to one of the benches.
Looking over to the bench, I saw several loaves of bread and buns, along with a variety of cheeses.
"Oh, ah that makes sense," I said, as I let out a sigh of relief. Alright, so there was less chance of her being a Devil.
"Did you need anything else?" She asked after a moment, causing me to hum lightly.
"…Do you have any apron recommendations?" I asked her after a few seconds of thought, she usually wore some rather nice looking aprons.
Maybe I could get some details on them and use my Costume Switches to be able to get an apron with a variety of nice patterns… but then again it wouldn't protect me like an apron would.
"Ara? Apron recommendations? Well the ones I usually wear are handmade," She said as she placed a hand on her cheek, "Alright then! If you do want one, I could try my hand at making one for you, Ryuuji-kun!"
"Oh, that would be great!" I said with a smile. A handmade apron would be a lot more durable than the mass produced crap.
"Alright then, I'll get started on that once I get home. Just know that it'll take a while to fully make one!" She said happily, causing me to nod.
The production process would be pretty long after all, especially if she was making it by hand.
With that done, I just sat on one of the nearby chairs, waiting for the brownies to finish baking.
I didn't really have anything else to do, so I pulled out my notebook and started drawing a little sketch of Astolfo in a magical girl costume.
During the creation process, I decided to give him a pink and white costume, with white gloves that went down to his elbows, winged pink boots, with little feathers in his hair.
"Oh? What's this?… Oh damn, that's awesome" Astolfo said from behind me, as he leaned over my shoulder, looking at the rough sketch that I'd made.
"Uh yeah, I thought you'd look good in these colors," I said after a moment, a bit of heat rising up to my face. I wasn't that good of an artist, and it was kind of embarrassing to have someone looking through my sketches.
"And you were right! Oh, I'm gonna have to make this costume for myself… just for you~" He said, causing me to look at him, and see that he was giving me a mischievous look, before winking at me.
"Yeah, that would look pretty good on you," I said, causing him to perk up, "Do you want the drawing so you can get the specifications right?"
"Yes, that would actually be great. Don't want to go by memory for this sort of thing" He said, as I carefully tore the page out of the notebook. Thankfully there wasn't anything on the other side of it.
With that he skipped away happily, clutching the page to his chest as if it was his most precious item.
And at that exact moment, I felt something appear in my mind… huh, I had an invisibility cloak now.
Invisibility Cloak The Gods Are Bastards Illusion (200 CP)
It's a cloak which makes you invisible. Useful unless you're dealing with something like a Headhunter, which can simply detect the enchantment. It'll get you through most publically available scrying methods though.
An invisibility cloak that didn't just hide me from sight, but also most forms of basic scrying, whatever that meant.
I quickly placed it in my… soul? I still don't know what that sort of thing was, but it was some sort of other dimension that was currently harboring my Bonewood Staff, and now this new Invisibility Cloak of mine.
But as I thought about the invisibility cloak, I had one more thought on it...
Tomoko must never know of this. I just know what sort of antics she'd get up to with access to an invisiblity cloak, and I don't think the world would survive.
Thankfully, after around half an hour of waiting… the brownies were finally done and taken out of the oven to cool. And they just looked great.
"Alright, these look pretty good!" Mama Sensei said cheerfully, as she pulled out a kitchen knife and started to cut it into several pieces. Enough for the four of us to get around six each.
I took a bite of one of mine, and had to suppress a wince at the sheer burning sensation, but other than that? It was actually pretty good.
"Mmm, nice" Astolfo muttered, as he stuffed one down his mouth, barely even noticing the heat as he practically swallowed it in a single gulp.
I looked over to Ikumi, to see that she was eating her brownie with a content look on her face.
Then Mama Sensei had one of her own, and gave the three of us a smile, after she finished swallowing.
"You all did a great job, I'm so proud of you three. Now, you should all head on home, or to whatever else it is that you need to do" Mama Sensei said, her smile growing slightly.
"Right! Let's go!" Astolfo exclaimed, as he practically sprinted out of the doors, with myself and Ikumi following not far behind.
Now, I just had to figure out what I was going to do… I could head straight home to tell Tomoko about magic.
Or I could head to the address that Father Anderson gave me, to learn more about the supernatural world.
…Then again, I could also head to the Martial Arts Club to try and learn some stuff from Satonaka-san.
Hell, I could even just go to the arcade or something. Kill a bit of time there, maybe?
Imperial Lores of Magic - Shyish Warhammer Fantasy: Imperial Colleges of Magic Modus (Free)
No human wizard, without divine aid, can safely wield more than one Wind of Magic with any great mastery. Those who try to wield multiple well are far too easily lured by Dark Magic, assuming they do not destroy themselves before they can be tempted. It was this discovery in part that made Teclis realize just how much mankind required his guidance. Therefore, while founding the Orders, Teclis taught his human apprentices to focus on the one Wind of the eight which suited them best. The result is the system of Lores which persists to this day under the prescriptions of the Articles of Imperial Magic. You are sensitive to and capable of manipulating the Wind of Magic appropriate to your Order - Ghur for Amber Magisters, Hysh for Light Magisters, and so on - and know many of the spells devised by said Order.
After a few minutes, I figured that I would go to the address that Father Anderson had given me.
Mostly because I already told him that I'd see him later today, and I didn't want to make a liar of myself.
And I also really did want to learn more about the supernatural world, and discover just what I'm really capable of with this magic of mine.
But as I was reading the directions of the address, I felt a surge of knowledge enter my mind.
It felt like there was a storm brewing in my head, a veritable hurricane of thoughts, and sheer information entering me.
Instantly, I knew of an entire lore of spells, how to manipulate the winds of death itself, The Winds of Purple. The Lore of… Shyish. Magic that grants me control over death itself.
I could manipulate these winds with instinctual ease, and I knew that I could gain a potential mastery of a style of magic that appeared out of… nothing.
"This is so strange…" I muttered to myself, as I continued walking.
I didn't get any spells from this magic, no. Instead, I got the potential to learn these spells, I became more sensitive to the purple winds that flowed through the world.
With practice, I would be able to easily manipulate the Shyish, but not as I am now. No, I'd need time and would likely need some test subjects.
Perhaps I could buy some mice or something to test these Shyish Spells on…
Something explicitly calling itself 'Death Magic' definitely shouldn't be used on humans, at least not without extensive testing.
