Celestial Bloodline

Chapter 816: What more did you get?

Chapter 816: What more did you get?

Enthrall and Damien glanced at Ceano when they noticed his silence. He loved strength above all else; the reason he joined Azazeal was solely to become stronger, so he should be the happiest one here, right?

Ceano finally raised his head, and the other two shadow generals were startled to see both of his eyes bleeding. The golden hue within them had transformed into a deep molten color, with thin threads of immense darkness and spirituality swirling around endlessly as his lips stretched wide.

"Thank you, master."

He murmured and let out a loud, eerie laughter that reverberated through the dark space, causing the dark energy in the air to quiver in delight in response.

A euphoric sensation surged within his heart as he absorbed the knowledge of a powerful skill never heard before flooding into his mind-the knowledge of how to consume another's life, power, soul, and even fate to become stronger.

Damien and Enthrall finally noticed that the dark flower glowing on Ceano's body had seven petals, not six like theirs, indicating that he had gained two additional petals!

Enthrall's eyes widened, and his furious voice reverberated through the air.

"No... why?! We worked together and opened the Realm of the Dead together! It's not our fault you lost your false bodies to that bastard Kyle! The reward should be equal! So why do you have more-?"

His words were abruptly silenced as his body was violently slammed to the ground, instantly creating a crater that swallowed him completely before the fractured land slammed shut and sealed itself.

Dust and debris rose into the air as Ceano stood above the sealed ground, leisurely brushing off his clothes and wiping the blood from beneath his glowing eyes.

"Shhh. Learn to stay quiet, will you."

Damien stepped back when those glowing eyes turned to him. He was shaken but still found the courage to satisfy his curiosity.

"I can sense you are at the peak of the supreme rank just like us. What more did you get from master?"

Ceano chuckled. He had suffered the most because of Kyle, but now he didn't feel bad, knowing that in return he had gained a lot.

"You know I am from the mer race? We are different, and some of us have the ability to see fate. My spiritual eyes were never very useful before, but now I can see anyone's fate just by touching them. I have also acquired a Celestial rank skill."

Damien shuddered inwardly. A Celestial rank skill? Was he hearing right? He had never heard of anyone else in the universe possessing them, except for Azazeal and possibly that human, Kyle. His strange icy blue flames were incredibly powerful, enough to be regarded as a Celestial skill. However, Kyle had died some time ago, leaving only Azazeal with Celestial skills.

Still, to think that Azazeal could directly grant Celestial skills to others... that was simply impossible. While one can share their skills with others, it is only a weaker version achieved through the creation of artificial cores. After all, initially, people receive skills that are of lower rank, and those weak skills grow and evolve with them as they become stronger.

A skill at its true power can only be shared if it is extracted from that person's lifeless body through various methods or gained by absorbing a powerful monster core.

Damien clenched his jaw. Just how many years had slipped by? More than he could even remember! If Azazeal possessed such a strong ability, he could have shared these powerful skills with them much earlier so they could locate the Celestial spirits and win that damned war against James! He shifted his angry gaze toward Ceano.

"What type of skill? Can you even use it?! You are still at the supreme rank!"

Ceano tilted his head. He could see the anger radiating from the man before him.

"Of course, I can. It's a skill that, once activated, can drain another's life, power, soul, and even fate to enhance my strength. And obviously, there will be consequences if I wield such power."

He licked his lips, his nails growing in anticipation as he moved closer to Damien to drain and consume his power.

"Do you want to become my first test subject? I can say you were contemplating betraying master. You know... I have seven petals on my flower, which means I am above you in terms of authority."

Damien's eyes dilated, and he vanished without a second thought upon seeing the wild intensity in those golden eyes. His figure reappeared in a distant location.

"Ceano! Control yourself! We aren't supposed to kill each other!"

He spat out loudly with a dark expression as he summoned his weapon to fight if this crazy jerk dared to come closer. Just what the hell did their master see in him to grant him such a powerful skill?

"If you want test subjects so badly, go and use this skill on the enemies! On all those supreme ranks who have been fighting us and hindering us for so long! Also, that bronze-skinned man who has appeared recently and killed many of our people!"

Ceano raised his hands and blinked innocently. His young and harmless appearance made his demeanor even more convincing.

"I was just joking. Why take it seriously?"

With that, he disappeared.

However, Damien caught the smile in his glowing eyes, which crinkled at the corners before he vanished, and knew Ceano wasn't joking at all when he wanted to make him a test subject

for his skill!

"Fuck... things had to get even worse! We are already losing so many people because of James and the ones following him!"

Only after Ceano had disappeared did Enthrall, who had been playing dead inside the sealed land, dare to poke his head out of the ground to look around. He coughed due to the dirt that had entered his mouth.

"Is he gone? I honestly saw my life flash before my eyes when he buried me underground like a dead body."
