The awkward driving session that made Bae Juhyun want to jump out of the car finally ended after an hour.

After all, Liu Xin'an's family lived in a small town quite far from the city center, and it took over an hour just to drive there.

This year, Liu Xin'an didn't take Bae Juhyun shopping for anything to bring home. One reason is that it's not Bae Juhyun's first visit, and besides, Liu Zhengjiang and the others have already met Juhyun's parents.

In other words, the two of them are practically a family without a marriage certificate, and since they're already family, buying New Year's goods would seem too formal.

Liu Xin'an doesn't know about other families, but at least in his family, being family means you don't need to bring New Year's goods when you come home.

The car stopped at the familiar front door, and the two got out and took all the luggage from the trunk.

As they reached the doorstep, Li Chenglu, dressed in sportswear, strolled out from inside and gave Bae Juhyun a big, excited hug.

"Juhyun sis, long time no see! How have you been lately?"

Bae Juhyun released Li Chenglu from the hug, nodding in response while quickly turning to see Liu Xin'an busy with the luggage.

Then she hurried to Liu Xin'an's side, grabbing her own two wheeled suitcases.

Kidding aside, now that she's at her boyfriend's house, it wouldn't look right if she just let Liu Xin'an do all the work!

Li Chenglu reached out to take one of the suitcases from Bae Juhyun, then looked over at Liu Xin'an.

"Where's Uncle?"

"Uncle will come tomorrow. We'll go to the airport to pick him up then."

"Oh, Juhyun sis, come stay at my place! My home is quite big!"

Li Chenglu nodded, then naturally started pulling Bae Juhyun's suitcase toward her own house.

This left Bae Juhyun a bit unsure of what to do. Luckily, Liu Xin'an jokingly lifted his foot intending to nudge her, causing Li Chenglu to cheekily change direction.

Now wasn't the time for jokes; after all, Bae Juhyun was going to marry Liu Xin'an, not her.

After the couple had settled into their relationship for a year, Li Chenglu no longer acted like a crazy fan and gradually started accepting Bae Juhyun as "family."

Of course, there's another crucial reason for this big change: simply put, she found a new idol.

"Juhyun sis, are you close with Yu Jimin?"

"Jimin? We're alright, why?"

"Autograph! Signed photo cards! Signed Polaroids! Maybe you could introduce us sometime, I'm really into aespa lately!"

Upon hearing that Bae Juhyun was okay with Yu Jimin, Li Chenglu became particularly excited.

Liu Xin'an was stunned too, especially since he never thought that ordinarily shy Bae Juhyun would boldly call her something she never dared say.

But after the surprise, his heart was filled with joy.

The silly smile on his face proved it.

"Stop smiling like a fool, bring the stuff upstairs first."

As a family member, Li Chenglu was genuinely happy for her godmother. Seeing Liu Xin'an stand there dumbly, she chuckled and patted her childhood friend's shoulder, nodding toward the second floor.

Liu Xin'an snapped out of it, grabbing his suitcase and heading upstairs.

Then, another dilemma arose, leaving him unsure of what to do.

Last time, Bae Juhyun unexpectedly stayed with him, mainly because she unexpectedly came over and there wasn't a well-prepared room for her to rest.

But this year was different. Park Jinsuk obviously knew way in advance about Bae Juhyun coming, so she had prepared a room for her.

Plus, with Park Jinyoung's family arriving tomorrow, there were ample guest rooms, more than enough for Bae Juhyun and Park Jinyoung's family to share a brand-new guest room.

However, for Liu Xin'an, he'd naturally prefer his girlfriend to share a room with him.

After all... given their current relationship, pretending otherwise would be even more fake, right?

"Mom, is the guest room ready?"

He couldn't directly ask if Bae Juhyun could stay in the same room with him, so Liu Xin'an asked in a way hoping his mom would pick up on his underlying message.
