Watching Evan giving a very detailed description of what to pay attention to during renovation, Dong Tianyu, who had been listening intently, suddenly had a thought and then turned to Mr. Thompson and said, "Dad, you handle the renovation, but just fit out one apartment. For the other one, just install windows, don't touch anything else."

After finishing his words, Dong Tianyu quickly walked to the window, then flipped out of it in a swift motion.

Evan, who had been talking nonstop, initially paused his introduction when Dong Tianyu first spoke. Hearing about fitting the other apartment with windows, he quickly realized that the hallway door of the opposite apartment was also open when he came upstairs, indicating that it probably belonged to the Thompson family too.

Evan was not disappointed by Dong Tianyu's decision to temporarily leave the other apartment untouched. At this moment, his family was the only source of renovation materials, essentially a monopoly. Whether they choose to renovate now or later, they would have to approach him.

Seeing Father Dong's indifferent expression, Evan guessed that Dong Tianyu jumping from the window might not have been harmed at all. Considering that Dong Tianyu's closest family members weren't worried, he, an outsider, didn't need to fuss unnecessarily, and thus simply continued detailing the renovation based on Father Dong's cue.

On the other hand, the reason Dong Tianyu had hurriedly left by leaping out of the window was due to a space disturbance he sensed not far from the base. It had been a while since Dong Tianyu last felt this kind of spatial disturbance, which is typically emitted when a Space Transmission Channel appears.

Realizing this freshly emerging space disturbance, Dong Tianyu immediately rushed towards its source, which likely marked the sudden appearance of a new Space Transmission Channel.

Due to his urgency, Dong Tianyu made no effort to disguise his actions. After jumping out the window, his Flying Sword appeared beneath his feet, and he ascended into the air swiftly towards the origin of the space disturbance.

As Dong Tianyu flew over the base's city wall, a loud alarm instantly sounded within the base. Since he was right above the city walls at the time, he wasn't sure if the alarm was triggered by his presence there or to alert the survivors in the base about the near emergence of the space channel.

Although Dong Tianyu's newly purchased house was a considerable distance from the city wall, crossing this distance by Sword Flight would only take less than ten seconds. If the base had detection equipment capable of detecting space disturbances, activating the alarm ten seconds after detecting new disturbances would make sense.

Regardless, the alarm, whether triggered by Dong Tianyu or the space disturbance, ultimately served as a warning for the survivors in the base, ensuring they were prepared for whatever might come next.

As Dong Tianyu cleared the city wall via Sword Flight, not long after his departure, the city wall's gate opened promptly, following which multiple figures rushed speedily towards the direction of the disturbance's source.

As this group left, many more survivors, either alone or in small groups, also exited the gates at high speed.

The guards stationed on the walls observed all this unfold, and a couple of them ruefully sighed, "Just when things were getting peaceful, now we don't know what this new problem is about, sigh... No matter what happens, let's hope it doesn't affect our base."
