Dong Tianyu had been walking in the forest for over an hour but hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Facing this situation, Dong Tianyu vaguely guessed the reason in his heart.

Following that, Dong Tianyu used a Technique to conceal his Cultivation Level. Plants were just plants, and the instant Dong Tianyu concealed the Cultivation Level within his body, he immediately felt dozens of malicious intents attacking him from all around.

Watching the slow writhing of those vines outside the Spiritual Power Shield, Dong Tianyu guessed that these vines were attempting to constrict their prey like those pythons; after catching their prey, they'd continuously tighten their grip, aiming to crush the bones of their catch.

Only, they weren't pythons, and what they had entangled was merely the Spiritual Power Shield conjured by Dong Tianyu.

Just when Dong Tianyu thought the enemy had run out of tricks and was about to emerge from the cocoon, he suddenly noticed sharp spines slowly protruding from the vines wrapping the inside of the Spiritual Power Shield. These small spines resembled the thorns on a rose stem, small but exceedingly sharp.

If their target prey was of Mortal Body, perhaps these thorns could easily penetrate into the bodies of those they entangled, but they had entangled Dong Tianyu's Spiritual Power Shield, so these devious tactics did no harm to Dong Tianyu.

The strength of a Spiritual Power Shield, which depended entirely on the amount of Spirit Power infused during its casting, determined its defensive power. But once formed, it was like hardened glass—the outcome could be only one of two possibilities.

Either it could be outright shattered by a powerful external force, or it was completely impervious to any damage, with no possibility of accumulating damage until a breach occurred.

Those thorns emerging from the vines naturally couldn't penetrate the Spiritual Power Shield protecting Dong Tianyu, and so continuous efforts would still do him no harm.

Just when Dong Tianyu thought the surrounding vines only had that much in their arsenal, the thorns that were poking against the outside of the Spiritual Power Shield suddenly melted like ice, clinging to the Spiritual Power Shield and transforming into droplets of a grey-green liquid.
