Although the sinkhole discovered by Madeline was relatively small in terms of surface area, when she reported it to the Imperial Court, the Court unexpectedly found similar sinkholes across multiple locations within China that were devouring the tides. Not only in China, but also some of the fleets arranged by the Imperial Court to explore the outside world discovered these sinkholes in different regions after getting a reminder.

Because of this, the inevitability of the flood that was submerging the lands of Blue Star coming to an end had become a certainty in Madeline's mind, though she was still unable to pinpoint the exact date when the flood would disappear.

As a businesswoman, once Madeline knew that the flood would inevitably recede, she actually started preparing for it as soon as she confirmed the truth of the matter, including but not limited to liquidating some fixed assets in the Magic Capital Base.

In Madeline's view, although the assets in the Magic Capital Base might still appreciate over a certain period in the future, when it came to business, she never pursued selling at peak periods or buying at troughs as an extreme strategy.

It was exactly because Madeline always adhered to this mindset that she had already converted two-thirds of the heavy assets in the Magic Capital Base into Mysterious Cores before the corrosive winds arrived. If the corrosive winds had arrived a bit later, Madeline might have been able to sell all her heavy assets in the Magic Capital Base at a good price.

The majority entered the Survivors Base mainly to sell the supplies they had and to purchase special goods like Mysterious Cores or firearms.
