Exotic Spiritual Root (Mixed Spiritual Root)

When Dong Tianyu inserted his hand into the model of the Golden House, data appeared in his mind, revealing his body's data.

This data was both within and beyond Dong Tianyu's expectations.

That Dong Tianyu was of mixed blood was a given; what he hadn't anticipated was that his blood contained elements of the Wizard Clan and the Phoenix Clan, with a rather high purity in the former.

The Pure Yang body was not a rare constitution; anyone who remained chaste possessed it.

A Pure Yang body did not imply total chastity. True indicators of maturity in men were never about age, but rather the embarrassing moments in the morning.

"Water will overflow if the cup is too full," passive leaks did not mean one had broken his Yang integrity, just as a girl's first menstruation couldn't prove she had broken her Yin integrity.

Perhaps for ordinary people, that layer (of sensitive part) could attest to a girl's purity. But even in ancient times, if that layer was not intact, there were always ways to deceive people.

The blood of an eel mixed with three kinds of medicinal materials, could produce a similar effect. Although its duration was short, it was straightforward to deceive a husband on their wedding night. The resulting effect, both in experience and the blood evidence left on the bed, was practically undistinguishable from the real thing.

However, for cultivators, once they become intimate partners, the contamination of Pure Yang and Pure Yin bodies is inevitable during intercourse, and the constitution of a pure body naturally disappears. This was also the reason why Dong Tianyu, after starting his cultivation, was unwilling to arrange for a marriage.

As for the spiritual root, an exotic spiritual root may sound good. It is the collective term for spiritual roots outside of the five elemental spiritual roots: Metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

The gap between exotic spiritual roots can be vast. Lightning spiritual roots are considered exotic, as is Dong Tianyu's Mixed Spiritual Root. Even a spiritual root that has all five elements present would not be considered a Mixed Spiritual Root.

Spiritual roots, in essence, are organs that exist between reality and illusion, overlapping with one's backbone. The length of spiritual roots hardly varies between individuals, regardless of their stature.

Most people's spiritual roots are devoid of any attributes before their birth. However, after they are born, the spiritual root inevitably absorbs an unknown substance from the air. As soon as they leave their mother's womb, their spiritual roots mature instantly.

At that moment, it's all a matter of luck.

The so-called single series spiritual roots do not mean that the spiritual roots possess only one attribute, but rather that one attribute dominates within the spiritual root. Double series means that two different properties have dominant positions in the spiritual root.

Normally, the more balanced the attributes within the spiritual roots are, the worse the result will be during the examination of one's aptitude.

But there can be exceptions. For instance, the Five Elements constitution requires that the proportion of the five elements within the spiritual root be absolutely the same.

Even if the five elemental attributes inside one's spiritual root do not amount to 100%, as long as they total more than 90% and each of the five properties takes up the same proportion, it can be considered the Five Elements constitution.

The Five Elements constitution doesn't offer any unique advantage during the Qi Gathering and Foundation Building stages. However, its success rate at reaching the Golden Core and Nascent Soul stages is extremely high, akin to there being no bottleneck. This type of constitution is also known as the Innate Dao Body.

In contrast, Dong Tianyu's Mixed Spiritual Root is the exact opposite. The attributes within his spiritual root are extremely chaotic, with no dominant proportions. The proportions of all his attributes were very uneven.

Normally, a Mixed Spiritual Root is considered an inferior spiritual root, and is just slightly better than an Empty Spiritual Root, which cannot cultivate at all.

An Empty Spiritual Root is what most regular people have. Technically, they all had spiritual roots initially, but for various reasons, the unknown medium in their spiritual roots disappeared inexplicably.

And the spiritual root only has the ability to absorb this unknown medium when it is born, just like a baby, sacrificing this ability to absorb the unknown medium in exchange for the ability to breathe normally in the external world.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, once the properties in the spiritual root disappear, it is nearly impossible to make the spiritual root obtain the unknown medium again.

Even though Dong Tianyu possesses a Mixed Spiritual Root, the Golden House could still provide countless cultivation methods suitable for his Foundation Building Stage.
