Xiaomao reviewed the spells in the shopping cart. Then, he pressed the confirm button and paid 3,600 PACTs as a tuition fee.
The nun elder looked at Xiaomao’s choice. She stood up and picked nine books from the shelves. Walking back to her desk, she placed all books on the table, but she didn’t hand them to Xiaomao.
“I’ve confirmed the 9 magic courses. Which one do you want to learn first?”
“Self-Heal first, munya!”.
“Alright. Listen well,” the nun opened one of the books and read the content. Her words put Xiaomao in a trance.
.
An hour later
“That’s the end of the lessons.”
The nun closed the last book and stood up. She returned the books to the shelves.
Xiaomao got back to his senses. He opened his status menu and pressed the class skill tab to check the details.

.
This menu showed the potential and the limit of each class. It also revealed the cost of each ability. For example, every mage and elemental mage could learn the spells that Xiaomao had learned.
Dungeon Management and Dantian Menu were not considered a skill as they were features that came with the classes. Secondly, Xiaomao hadn’t awakened his dantian yet, so he couldn’t learn any cultivator skills. As for the Dungeon Master Class, it was useless in this patch as the game didn’t provide any mentor for the class.
Xiaomao gazed at the Slavemaster Class’s detail. He wondered where he should look for a mentor to learn more common skills.
He didn’t have high hope for the Regressor Class as mentor NPC might not even exist. He could only complete Cernun’s quests and hope for the best.
As for the last two classes, Xiaomao obtained them from reading books, which Lucky had stolen from Bit Tupeer’s mansion. It unlocked the classes, but he didn’t get any skills.
“Thank you for the lessons, munya!” Xiaomao bowed to the nun.
“Come back when your spiritual roots are stronger. I’m sure you will become a top mage in the future. Oh, I’ll keep the paper as proof of transaction, but you can keep the card for the next visit.”
Xiaomao dryly laughed and excused himself. He left the room and exited the building.
‘Next destination… What do I need to do in this town again? Oh, right, damn Alzheimer’s brain. The town hall’s Guild Manager NPC! I need to establish a guild for the event!’
The cat smacked his forehead while he was riding a flying sword.
A minute later, Xiaomao reached the town hall. Different from the mage tower and the adventurer guild, only a handful of players loitered nearby.
The town hall was a stone building, which had a similar style to the mage tower’s house. However, the building was surrounded by fences and large gardens.
Xiaomao approached the town hall by flying over the fences, but he was soon stopped by the two local guards, who stood in front of the building’s main entrance. Their levels were the same as Brad’s.
“This area is off-limit! State your purpose here, cat!”
Xiaomao was taken aback. He canceled the Chameleon skill and revealed his name, including the effects of his titles.
“I’m Xiaomao. I’m here to register for a new guild, munya.”
The guards glanced at the icons behind Xiaomao’s name and took two steps back. Then, they saluted.
“Welcome to Xuan Town, Sir Xiaomao!”
The commotion attracted the players in the garden, who were doing a random quest here. When they heard the name, they dropped their tools in their hands and texted their friends.
.
In the town hall, no player was in sight. Only NPCs walked around in the building, minding their office work. There was no counter or lobby for guests.
The guard pointed at a coffee table and walked away, “Please wait there. An employee will come and entertain you shortly.”
“…”
Xiaomao put away the flying sword and hopped on the sofa. He straightened his tentacles and glanced at his hunger bar.
Noticing that he hadn’t eaten anything for a long time, he withdrew a bag of cat food from his inventory and opened the package. He scooped the salmon-flavored cookies and chewed them in glee.
‘Not bad for cat food in-game. I wish Mu-Nyang, Mir, and others can have a taste of this.’
Xiaomao didn’t mind eating dry or wet cat food. In his previous life, he always ate them whenever he forgot to prepare dinner, which angered Mu-Nyang every time.
A few minutes later, a human NPC in an office lady uniform brought Xiaomao a cup of tea. She sat on a single sofa and greeted him.
Looking closely, the girl’s eyes were so narrow that they looked like Gin Ichimaru’s eyes from Bleach Series. This type of character was always crafty and cunning. But whenever they opened their eyes, they either became a badass or a terrifying villain.
“Hello, sir. I’m Xuan Town Hall’s secretary, Karen Swan G. How may I help you?”
Xiaomao glanced at the girl’s name and level by reflex. Then, he was shocked.
Karen Swan G., Level (???)
Her level was shown in red, which was the same as Fu De. Moreover, there were three question marks, which hinted that her level was 3 digits, and it was definitely higher than 200 as Xiaomao couldn’t identify it!
She was one scary secretary!
“I’m here to register a new guild under my name, munya. Is this the right place?”
Karen widely smiled, “Of course, you’ve come to the right place. I’m in charge of handling guilds and adventurers’ organizations. Please fill in the form and tell me your guild’s detail. Oh, there will be a fee for registering a new guild.”
“Money is not a problem, munya!”
“Hehe, okay.”
Karen passed Xiaomao an application form and a pen. Like in the modern world, Xiaomao took the pen and began filling in the detail of his new guild.
After filling in the detail for a few lines, Xiaomao’s tentacle stopped at a section. The form asked Xiaomao about his guild’s name, affiliation, and religion.
Xiaomao narrowed his eyes. He had never been a guild master, and no player in his previous life had shared this information with others.
He looked up and found Karen’s business smile.
“Do I have to fill my religion? And what is affiliation, munya?”
One of Karen’s eyes slightly opened, revealing her blue pupils and deep black iris. Her gaze gave Xiaomao goosebumps, straightening his fur and tail.
“You must fill in every blank space in the form, especially the religion and affiliation. The religion section can be the name of the god that you are worshiping. If you don’t have any, please fill it in as NONE. As for the affiliation, you only need to fill in your nationality. If you have planned to change your nationality or you are a foreigner, you should state the name of the nation so we can transfer the application form to your home country for verification, sir.”
“…”
Something seemed sketchy here.
